Well as it turned out, dr's office did send the requisition over to the lab closest to us. Actually it wasn't there yet when we got there, but came in momentarily. At least that much is done. Had to cancel his rehab appointment for Monday morning as his echo is at 10.

Just getting ready to go out to dinner and then do something.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO DEE AND MR. DEE! Congratulations on your 55 years. That is a great milestone!

Ivy.... so scary to have coyotes that close to your house. I'm glad he listened to you! And Harriet.... I'm glad that Sammie is so diligently on duty, keeping her homestead safe! As built up as our county is we still have some free space and there are a few coyotes here, also. I've seen one just a few miles from our house.

Cowinkie... welcome home; glad you had a nice time with family.

We had a short, but loud, 1/2 hour thunderstorm here last night a little after 11 pm. Then a nice hard rain again this morning. Our grass is green again. I hope we keep getting rain all through the hot season. Though, tropical storms are something else again! Nice to hear of OKay's area and Blessed's area are getting some rain!

I spent about a half hour in back yard trimming lowest branches of a palm tree and cutting another tree by the back corner of our house. Found two small wasp nests and took care of that. I usually let the outside wildlife along, but with our two ddogs their safety comes first!

I also spent some time at the computer deleting emails and cleaning out some files not needed from my favorites list.

Waving to everyone!

Grrrrr...

Well. I am sorta disgusted w/the 21st Century tonight.

Good grief.

I went online and changed my insurance. HOWEVER, I will be paying $165.18 monthly instead of the $88.60 lady told me my coverage would be, compared to $151.00 for dh (compared to -- SHE SAID -- $391). She said at that time, it did not matter that dh was older, it was determined by our retirement dates and his was 15 years ago.
Well... all right... $165 & $151 is still cheaper than $391... but not by near as much as I was hoping... so I'm kinda fuming about that, and of course, I cannot talk to a live person until Monday, to make sure I've got everything correct in the computer.

Then I go to the other site, where I have to fill in another form that says basically that I am not employed by anyone now and do not receive additional insurance from anyone else.
THAT site says it has no record of my existence... * sheesh * ID/Passwords do not work...

AAAUUGUGUGUGUGHHHHHH!!!!!

I'm just disgusted.

Thanks for letting me vent.
Tomorrow is another day.

My lazy days continues. We all went out to dinner at the pub because I didn't want to bother thinking up a meal for the three of us (that's one problem about doing up the meal plan a month in advance - I don't know ds's schedule.)

Ds is busy downloading stuff because today's the last day of our 'month' and there are 40 gigs that will go to waste otherwise.

Dh is watching a documentary on Firefly.

I've paid one bill.

I also biked to the store for the mail and brought in the laundry (which wasn't quite dry because I forgot to put it out until after 2 despite running the washer at 7 a.m.)

Not a winner of a day.

Managed to complete the list from earlier. Errands blah :P . But it was a lovely day for driving, cool enough that I didn't need the a/c on in the car until late afternoon.

Cooked a good supper when I got home, ground turkey and vegetables with soy sauce over rice. Not fancy, but lots of different color veggies.

Waiting for a load to finish in the dryer and then I'm going to try to go to bed early.

Kathryn ~ A documentary on Firefly? The one about how much fan support there was for making the Serenity movie, or a different one?
