Ivy - at my mothers house everything is turned off and unplugged during any hint of a thunder storm.
I'm not quite as vigilant but if the storm is close or lightning is sizzling before it bangs I unplug what I can.
Phones are a danger too. Anything with wires running outside.
cell phones, battery operated, wifi would be ok I'm guessing. If they work. I doubt satellite would work with dense cloud.
Kathryn - Summer in melbourne and all along the southern part of OZ can change from 45C to 20C or less in minutes if the wind changes from desert dry heat to antartic fresh cold.
I didn't get to the pool in the last few days so thats my wish today.
I went to church this morning. home -I've eaten.
the next bus is in 15 so I'll look at what I still need to do to get there.
Twins - prayers things can settle at your place. I'm guessing the court case may well cause dd some reflection.
back to find this wasn't posted.
yes I got to pool
25 m under cover was full of kids but soldiered on there for maybe 45min.
waited in blazing sun for 35 min for a bus that bipassed the stop. then came as I was deciding just to walk as better than waiting any longer in high UV danger. bus did come though on its return to coast journey. Driver drove me home to my street. He said road had been blocked by a traffic bingle at the lights earlier.
I think I need walk to shaded stop in future.
washing in in the machine.
It may be technically winter but temp inside is 84f just now. This year I think our coldest nights/mornings were in May. or June there was a few.
hugs to Harriet over new hair design. May it be long enough to tie up soon.
