I have two lg. crock pots going now one with chicken in it and the other has cobbler in it. I lined the cobbler one with foil so I can remove it and freeze that and do another one as I have batter for one more to do. This will be my 3rd one. It's feed the freezer day here today. I have enough cobbler for hubby's lunches next week they are cooling now. I've done apples, pears and the next one will be peach. The house smells great. I've gathered 13 eggs today so far today. Elizabeth I'm thinking I'm glad we do not have a roo!

Laundry is going now & I have both the dryer and washer going one more load to do still and maybe two.

I was invited to go to the movies w/ dgds to the $1 theater but got uninvited as they had asked a friend and the car was too small I guess dil did not know about the friend. Seems that this happens a lot this time of year around my b.day, plans fall through. :( ~Sigh~ I'm trying to remember it's not about me.

I went to a yd. sale and asked if she had a crockpot and sure enough she did and I got it brought it home washed it up and it's going now w/ chicken for dinner it it. This one has a nice feature when it's on the light is on that would have been handy the other day when we were trying to cook up custard.

Next door they had the septic pumped so the deal must be progressing along on the sale of the house.

So you claim!

Back from the farm. Easy 45 min job because everything was loaded onto old bread crates and there were lots of wheelbarrows and drivers. We had two kids helping, the younger could take the empty wheelbarrows back and the older one could manage the well balanced loads. Dh and I gave them both a ride in the big cart. That is one of my fondest memories from childhood (my sister used to give me rides at my Nana's) and I figured they deserved a treat for helping out.

Picked up corn and the mail so are all set for the evening. The lawn was mowed while we were gone so I should be able to take the photo for my tile tomorrow morning when the sunlight is on the house.

(((Nancy)))) I don't know how far away the theater is, but wondering if you could met them at the movies? Then the # of people in one car is not an issue.

Harriet - LOL!! I believe you :)

I've been puttering this afternoon. I've been carrying around the Kindle Fire watching TV series while also getting some no-thinking-required things done. Books arraigned by height and straightened in 2 bookcases. Pile of STUFF by my side of the bed cleaned up and put away. Refiling chip jar. Refiling crouton jar. Sewing loose buttons on shirts.

After "falling off the wagon" last week, I'm getting back into the swing of meal planning/prep. Without a plan, each meal decision seems overwhelming. However It seems so easy when I have a plan.
B: Smoothies (milk, protein powder, yogurt, flaxmeal, blueberries, banana, strawberries)
L: Large salad with assortment of meats
S: Homemade pizza

Got the errands done and everything put away. I don't think I'm going to jog now as it is almost 6 pm.

Ds has left for an evening meeting + sleepover.

I like seeing your menu plans, OK. Always inspiring.

:) at Harriet the innocent candle dealer. . .

Are you leaving on vacation tomorrow, Twins? Kathryn?

I'm going to switch the laundry and get dinner started.

Helia, we're leaving on Sunday morning - our time share is Sunday to Sunday this time. We have dfriends who are going with us, traveling separately to get there, however.

I took care of a couple of other matters when I got home from massage and dog sitter came by to get key and talk. I tried for a short timed nap but dh called, then dkids from next door came over to play with ddogs and wound them up. (I sent the last one home because Macs was a little.....ah....enamored with the little girl. )

Dh decided to go to temple tonight - I've spent too much temple time already this week, sad to say. I ordered a pizza for supper for myself.

Nancy, I'm sorry you missed the movie trip - OK is right - could you meet them there?

Glad Kathryn has found a "dealer" for her candy-crack. Here we consider cookie dough to be crack.

Elizabeth, I'm agreeing with Harriet that it's nice to know that your xdh is seeing the anger issues himself. Have you considered play therapy? My kids benefited - the play therapist has all kinds of toys for role playing and talking/playing. Glad that your dd is enjoying weeding - it can be quite satisfying and is easiest after a good rain has soaked the ground.

Harriet, here the school start times are ruled by the bus schedules, unfortunately.

Sadie, maybe by being rested up, you can be on top of routines and work again.

Agreeing with Kathryn - I've knocked several things off master to do list, but failed to start a lol after cleaning lady left. I'm not doing a good job of juggling both.

-reboot laundry
-be sure my car is locked up for night
-process mail
-start li&t for tomorrow
-email bit of info for temple bulletin to get that item off list

Finally Friday and finally home. Dropped daughter off at Southern Miss and stopped in Knoxville on the way down. Came home to NJ via New Orleans - Jacksonville and Savannah. A lot of driving but now home again. need to get back in the swing of things now.

SHEM: Nowadays most people die of a sort of creeping common sense, and discover when it is too late that the only things one never regrets are one's mistakes.

Long time on hold on phone call w/o results, the rest done. We had a big thunderstorm come through and dMacs was wound up and dneighbor girl also came back over and kept trying to talk to me when I was on the phone. (I was on hold at least part of the time, but when I wasn't the woman was difficult enough to understand w/o thunder and talk.)

I'm done. I added several items so I'm back up to 10, at least some are easy...water plants.

I'm not walking ddogs tonight. Macs had enough exercise with S over here playing with them, and his feet went out from under him when the doorbell rang and pizza was here.

For those I don't see on Facebook, I hope you'll check out this GA Tech video. (This is where ds goes.) http://www.cnn.com/2013/08/21/us/georgi ... r_facebook

Angry-grey-cat, do you have one at school in K-town? DD is there. It sounds like you had quite an odyssey this week and exceeded my travels. I know I was T.I.R.E.D.
