Phew it was busy at the store by the time we were done and we left early. Had lunch out and now taking a breather before drianing and rolling up hoses to put
away tomorrow.

Re: SAYONARA SATURDAY
I think I got new iPad set up - took forever and for some reason transferred over 2K photos that I have on my computer to the new iPad - the good, bad and ugly! I need to do some photo purging!
Had a decent nap this afternoon. My tooth sensitivity, after being gone for at least a couple of weeks, is back.
I made a grocery list and dh made the grocery run so we could make the chili recipe with ground turkey and veggies tonight. The sonil of dfriends is spending the night with us tonight, in route from ATL back to Indiana - will be in about an hour probably so trying to get the chili ready.
Dh started straightening up and I made him stop because he was doing the stash and dash; I told him I'd straighten up after I got the chili going.
So......
-clear kitchen counters
-load and start dishwasher
-clear kitchen table
-start a lol
-make the bed, I bet dh will want to do a tour

Home from town. LO met his goal for number of books read last month so he wanted to get his free pizza (aka reward). DH and I aren't fans of their pizza so the only time we will eat there is to encourage LO to keep reading and reaching goals.
Twins - How do you like the new IPad Air? A friend has one on order is is looking forward to receiving hers this next week. Are your photos stored on Cloud somewhere? Just curious about having to transfer them from device to device.

Working on a couple of closets. Posted in MO about doing the future a favour... aka purging!!
Re-hung all of Mike's rinsed ("washed" to him) clothes. Also turned all the hangers around on stuff he never wears. Why should the closets be crammed so full that getting an empty hanger out is a struggle? That's nuts.

Re: SAYONARA SATURDAY
Cathy, my dh's closet is the same. On the other hand, he has 1/3 the space I have so I will not say a word!
We are home. We spent the last bit of the drive discussing all we have to do before we leave on Friday morning.
I still haven't read over the sermon aloud, I'll do that in a few minutes.
I have just printed off my discussion notes for tomorrow. There were also mistakes in the report being presented so I highlighted those.
We've started to turn the clocks back but that doesn't really make me less tired. I'm going to check email and then unpack. Still have to remake the bed as well (did half before we left but took our duvets and pillows with the 'dirty' sheets to use on the inflatable bed last night.)

Re: SAYONARA SATURDAY
dd15 and I have been at the Renaissance Festival today, picking up tickets in advance at the local grocery that offers them. The portal to the same dimension Elizabeth and her dd enjoyed, I think. We were early enough to park close. So our trek to the gate was quick and the advance tickets let us walk in quickly, right after all the welcomes. The weather was perfect. in all the wooded areas, small leaves were falling and everyone just got used to them, walking through it as if it were a warm gold/brown snowstorm. It was an amazing day, of course, and we were just astonished by all the sights and sounds and smells. Walking 20 feet in any direction would give a whole new atmosphere and of course that went on and on. I bought dd a top and skirt and she wore the full outfit a while, just the top part of the time. We ate very badly, but loved all the fun activities. We sat through 3 shows, unusual for me, since I seldom enjoy them, but I did appreciate being able to sit after so many long walks. Comedy, fire-eating, acrobat, hypnotist.
The only negative was quite an increase in drinking over last year - it was marked, and a drunken woman nearly ruined one of the shows for us. She was shouting and standing, right in front of us - why don't people's friends tell them the truth about how they act when they drink too much? Her friends were just laughing and letting her continue to gulp a beer. As we drove away and got on the state highway, a car up ahead of us that had also left the festival, drifted into the oncoming lane and caused an oncoming car to drive way over into grass. I can only assume they had had too much to drink - scary.
Of course I'm most impressed by the costuming, and wow, what a variety. Only one woman was really dressed in such a way as to have been arrested anywhere else, but in the live-and-let-live atmosphere of Ren Fair, she was ignored. Some large women, while getting into corsets earlier, really must not have known their own strength, if you know what I mean, and their chests arrived several seconds before the rest of them everywhere they went, with fabric hardly managing to hang on to the edges, way out there. Again, ignored at Ren Fair when it would have been considered spectacle anywhere else. The many classes of Ren Fair costuming (peasant, wench, knight, royalty) was only one part, and the pirates were out in force, but I think the greatest increase was in iridescent fairies this year. Lots of belly dancers and a fair number of shockingly made up other-worldly types, who didn't really shock anymore, among the stilt walkers and jesters. There were two completely different women who casually called to their husbands, using the name, "Gandalf". I found that amusing. "Gandalf, do you want a turkey leg or pizza?"
I'm so tired! Lots to process.

Re: SAYONARA SATURDAY
I have rinsed and loaded the dishes and have the last load of
laundry going now too.
Coffee is ready for the morning.
Working on my p.m. routine.
It is windy out here as a storm rolls through more leaves will be off the trees.
I got a lg. Squash for $2. At the store to decorate with and then will cook, what we do not eat the hens can have.
Counters need, more attn. But that will have to wait I am taking a rest break to watch a movie with h. Not coughing as much so that helps.

Re: SAYONARA SATURDAY
It was so stormy all day with high winds and heavy on and off rain, leaves everywhere, and it was cooler, too. The only time DH went outdoors was to get more firewood for the indoor bin and to get the mail. Our lights/power went off twice, but quickly returned back to normal!
Thousands are still without power though.
I was sick most of the day so read on a book (a 113-page one - short) and was so happy to finally finish it.
I feel fine this evening, had a late afternoon nap, and rested well.
Now DH is watching PBS about music and singing in the movies. Nice music!
I need to plan out tomorrow, the clocks are all turned back, except for wrist watches, and we're looking forward to an extra hour's of sleep, too.
Hopefully I'll get more done tomorrow. With the storm, I didn't want to run the DW or do a lol because the power could've gone out. If the winds are peaceful tomorrow, I'll wash towels. DH ran the DW after dinner, after winds died down.
Have a good night and to Everybody who was sick this morning, I hope you're better by now. I was healthy this morning when I got up! Then got sick about noon or 1 p.m.
A highlight of the day was talking to DD on the phone, too.
