Good afternoon!
Sounds like a lovely day, OK, Kathryn, and Ken!
It is amazing how quickly the time passes. It is already 3:20, and I don't have much to show for the day so far. I have cleaned up the kitchen, sat down with dh and girls while they ate crepes for bfast, s2s-ed, finally responded to an email from GG's mother, found online recipe for brisket after I couldn't find the recipe I used last time, gone to the groc. store, and put everything away. Dh is at his office. I think he's going to go for a run at 4 pm, and I might join him, if even for a walk. It was sunny earlier today, but now it is quite gray.
It is a football weekend in our town too; NE is here to play us. This mainly means we'll avoid routes that take us by the stadium. Dh is wanting to go down town tonight for dessert and shopping. Hmm.... I'm not sure that is a good idea after all.
I agree that this in an unusual place on the web. I think the average maturity level here is quite high, to be honest. I do need IRL friends, and I wish I could have all of you as IRL friends too. . . . .I've really enjoyed meeting the few of you I have. Dh is still a little skeptical. I think it would help if he could meet some of you IRL. His skepticism is not directed toward you all but toward me, whether I am spending time here when I could be doing something more productive. (He is a very high energy person, quite focused on efficiency and productivity.) Somehow, I think if he met you and put you in the "Helia's friends" category, he might be less skeptical. He doesn't feel skeptical when I meet with and email with my IRL friends.
I'm not on FB so much these days. I don't know, I'm just not sure what people want to hear. My life isn't THAT interesting after all. . .
Next:
- finish a.m. routine: make bed, start laundry
- try to stop snacking so much
