Happy Birthday Twins Mom!

I hit the ground running this morning as soon as my eyes opened (5am). Followed hourly schedule until I sidetracked myself around 9:30. LO and I decided to clean his toys out. Oh my. WhaddaProject. We pulled all toys (and toy containers) out of his bedroom and piled them into the middle of the dining room. Then his room was easily cleaned before we started the process to sort toys and return only the toys he loves the most and plays with to his room. He was limited by space what toys he could keep. He kept about 1/2 of the toys and the others filled two 50 gallon plastic sacks. Those will be donated. End result - LO is THRILLED with how clean and organized his room is now. He now has all the Legos (he current favorite passion) together and easy to play with.

DH took LO with him after lunch so I've used this alone time to wrap LO gifts. I'll wait to wrap everyone else gifts so LO can help.

:D HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TWINS' MOM! :D May you have a great day all day from morning to bedtime.

I was trying to find the special dates section of the site here, read below how you cannot post, you cannot start a new post, etc... I couldn't figure out why, after trying and trying, how or where were the birthdays listed and WHAM! It dawned on me- I WAS NOT SIGNED IN! How funny! My mind's on DD and her COPD, we just found out, and I'm a bit distracted now. :(

I wove ends in on DD's infinity scarf, will wrap it, but she doesn't know if she'll be feeling well enough to come down and drive the 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 hour drive down and then back. So we might not see her tomorrow. Her friend may be with her that day though, if she's home resting. :)

I'm getting a very late start here today. :o  I slept in until 10 a.m. DH said he guessed I needed rest. I shouldn't have turned my dawn simulator off or I'd have been up by 8:45 a.m.

(((Nancy))), I hope everything works out. Sorry about your DH's rash, too. I hope it's not itching. :?:

OKay, It's great LO is thrilled with donating his toys and is excited about a clean and organized room, too. Our grsons love Legos, too. :)

Kathryn, I hope you'll get your nap today. :)

Lilac, Cleaning as you go, sounds good!

Helia, You get so much done! :!:

I need to wrap DD's scarf (did I say that already?) :?:  and do light housework. Toilets, trash, sinks, counters, DH will vacuum, and I'll dust/dust mop. Don't know if DD will make it here, but at least the house will look nice for us. :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TWINS' MOM!!

I just wanted to say hello to everyone. The last few days have been busy; I have tried not to be on the computer very much as the time just slips by faster.

I am finished with cleaning except for normal routines. We are finished shopping and I only have a few more gifts to wrap. I will finish that in a little while; I have cookies thawing to put on a tray for tomorrow. We will be having two Christmases this year. First one tomorrow with dfam#1 and second next Sunday with dfam#2, when they return from ddil's family.

Saturday evening we went to the botanical gardens with dfam#2. Dgds18 and 11 dance group was one of the entertainment groups for visitors while they toured the gardens. All the trees and bushes are beautifully decorated with lights. They had a couple of groups singing Christmas carols, a young man with a competition juggling act to help him pay for his college, and our dgds highland dancers. I'll have to go through the few pictures I took of the gardens to see if there are any decent ones to show.

Yesterday, dh had a blood test, then afterwards we went to W-M to finish shopping and got the last two gifts needed. I don't want to go shopping for anything for at least a month!

I'm going to cuop for the last couple of days.....

DH was able to leave work at noon. :D

We just had a little veggie soup for lunch since we will be having a big supper.

Nacho dip is in the crock pot. It tok longer to put together than I expected, must remember that for next time.

DH called his DMom and they decided that we can stop at her house after the party with my family. It will only be 8:30 or so, and DMIL usually stays up late anyway.

Car is cleaned out.
Gifts are wrapped.
All food other than the crock pot is in tote bags ready to go.

I just need to shower, put on party clothes, and fix my hair & makeup.
Almost ready to roll!

Happy Birthday Twins!

Wishing a pleasant and peaceful holiday to everyone in the village. We're going to the Candlelighting service at our church at 5pm, then home for a nice meal.

The movie was cute!

I didn't get everything done before I left, so I have reloaded the dw and am running it right now. Still, all the dishes won't fit. . . I've also put the chili in the crock pot, but it is thawing very slowly. I may have to put it in a pot stove top.

Aiming to eat in about 45 minutes to an hour. We need to leave in about 1:40. Church service will be short. Our pastor has proved at these services that he is capable of preaching for less than 30+ minutes. LOL! (He's a gifted preacher, BTW. Love him! He sometimes talks long.) We may light the tree (we put candles on it per dh's cultural tradition) and read a Cmas story tonight.

Next: (not necessarily in this order)
- wash up the hand wash dishes
- start rice cooker
- get the cornbread in the oven
