I was up at 8:30 and left the house at 9:45 in a hurry after the J unk K ing people called wanting to meet me at dsister's house. They were able to move around the stuff in the dumpster enough so they didn't have to carry off the two couches someone had dumped there and they walked through and gave me a estimate of how much they would charge to cart everything off. Despite what d xbil and dniece said, there is still a lot of junk in the house. and the dumpster wasn't as full as I thought. My cleaning lady was at mother's this morning and had agreed to call me and go by my sister's house if I wanted her to, so the two of us worked a couple of hours to bag up more stuff for the dumpster and pull out some things I wanted to keep and some things that could yard sale for herself. We got through everything I think, and I left her the key so she could go back later in the week and pick the rest of her stuff up. I paid her too for her help in getting it cleared out. We got through a lot of stuff and I feel somewhat positive.

OTOH, I physically feel awful. My head is hurting like crazy and my tummy was hurting, although I think it was from hunger. I need a shower right now but am going to put my pajamas on first and nap a little. I'm also freezing. The heat wasn't on in the house but I wasn't cold while I was working; now I'm freezing. Almost feel like I'm sick but it's probably psychological.

Ddogs are restless that I haven't walked them but I've let them out to do their "business." I hope they'll let me rest a little.

Went to see dsisil to give her b'day cards from us & DD. Stayed for a couple hours, stopped at bank & grocery store. Had lunch then cleaned everything out of my car. Texted ddil to see how much they are bringing -3 large suitcases for the 5 of them. "No stroller?" Ah, yes she forgot the were bringing his umbroller. Didn't think they were going to rent one for 10 days. She can leave it here if they want and I can bring it with me or dh (if he manages to come back down here) can bring it in March. Chances are she won't need it before then.

Waiting for dsonil to check my oil. We've never figured it out but my car needs about a quart every 1,000 miles or so. Doesn't seem to be burning it or any leakage???

DSonil went for a 'promising' job interview on Saturday. Notta. "Why would you want to work for us at X$ when you made this much at your last job?" Answer: "BECAUSE I NEED A JOB. I haven't worked in 20 months!" No dice -everyone is fearful if something comes along in a week, 2 weeks, a month that pays better, he'll bail". Probably so, since pay they're offering is barely minimum wage. Meantime -nothing coming in since unemployment stopped in Dec. Can see him getting more frustrated and depressed all the time. Feel especially bad for dd.

((((Twins)))) POTB for tackling such a difficult project and making such good progress.
hope everything works out well for DD & DGD after she moves.
Thanks! Me too! We are sooooooooo hopeful this will help DD turn things around. She is now in an environment that she hasn't been in before (no bad influences) and one that we don't think that "he" can find her. We have ditched her phone (he was pinging it to see where she was) and got her a different one. She is going to get some counseling and attend some AA type meetings. She has a very positive and grateful attitude about everything. I hope...pray....hope....pray....it keeps heading in the right direction.

We're right there with you, OKay!!!

Bummer side -Dh called from Dr's office. Had the Dr, a PA and the nurse in with him today & they were very thorough. Even though the tech had said he thought he saw the problem, the Dr. doesn't think that is it. Asked dh about pancreatitis (which I have asked about from time to time). At any rate he now is having a test for that, blood work tomorrow and they're trying to schedule a CAT scan. Dh was somewhat disappointed but is cheered that things are moving along.

DS-A & family were to leave their house for Niagara Falls about 3pm. They should be here in about 6 hours or so. Feel my tummy getting excited.

Happy Birthday EmptyNester. feel better soon.

a big wtg to Twins for all that is happening at dsis' place.

I am happy for OKay that DD has found a way out from her old situation. sending her good wishes for success in her new life, and good help with the new program. Woot to LO getting things processed with his name change.(and OKay doing a heap of leg work.)
When my purse was stolen I was at an impass until someone would issue an identifying doc.then the others could follow on.

My fingers are crossed for the Dee extended family for dh's medical problems to be identified, and safe travel for visiting family.

to Kathryn - apart from the hills and steps, it sounds delightful.

to Harriet re winter olympics - radio said someone complained of no water in hotel room, and they were told it would be back on it would be discoloured, and not to use it on their face!

Must move. Promised someone a lift in an hour. Forgot I need paint and was going to get it later. Maybe I just go to local store, not big discount place on the way home.
Just begin.

Left at 10:25 a.m. Got home at 6:30 pm. Had 50 minutes at home around 4 pm. I'm tired -- just ordered pizza for the girls. It is just GG and me for dinner tonight (and tomorrow night, and possibly W. night too). I'll pick up dd15 around 9 pm. Dd18 will be home from tutoring at about the same time. Tonight, I need to prep for tutoring tomorrow morning. Tomorrow will be similar to today - I'll be out of the house for about 8.5 hours. I'm going to come home between uniform return time slots. I'm not getting paid to do this. . . .but I did agree to do it. Need to find time to finalize trip plans. Soon. When? Maybe I can eke out some time tonight. . . . .Will be out at dd15's synchro meet tomorrow night.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EMPTYNESTER!

Well after a whole week of dull overcast days we've had sunshine two days in a row. So nice to see. Not having to live up north for almost 29 years I feel sorry for those having to be in so much ice and snow. Stay safe everyone!

A quiet weekend for dh and me. I think ds#1 had to work, so they couldn't come and dgkids had their bowling league as well. Sunday dfam#2 came, but about an hour earlier because dgd19 was working at the hospital and they wanted to be home by the time she got off work. So we had dinner ready at 4 pm instead of 5:30 pm. We had a nice visit after dinner talking and watching some Olympic games.

It's nice to see that Harriet's dfamily knows someone who will be there and also Helia's dfamily. I did happen to see the team members from Helia's area as their school was mentioned when they were introduced.

Dee, I'm sure you are excited to see your ds and dfamily soon!
OKay, I'm hoping and praying with you that this new start for dd and dgd is successful - just the change they need!
MT, sorry for your rough day yesterday; I hope today and this week will be better for you.
Twins, you are doing such good work for everyone in your dfamily!
Harmony, ((hugs)) for you and for everyone not feeling well or having a difficult time right now!

Our next door neighbor knocked on our door this morning to ask if we minded her putting a couple of trash bags with ours for pickup on Wed. I said no, go ahead. Then she proceeded to tell me she will be moving in a few weeks. She has been in a deep depression lately and hasn't been working for a long time, so no $$$ coming in. She has turned her house back to the bank for foreclosure. Her son is living with her and is bi-polar with psychotic tendencies and is a drug addict running with the wrong crowd. He will be 25 y.o. this summer and she just doesn't know what to do with him any more. She said he thinks when she moves out when the bank locks the doors he will be able to squat there and doesn't believe the police will forcibly take him away! He's always been nice and polite with us, but I hear loud shouting and banging from their house/yard often. I am so glad we have two big dogs that bark when anyone walks past our house.

Well, that's my story for the day! I'm going to take a little walk through our Village.....

I slept very hard for I don't know how long. When I got up I decided to go back to dsis' house and "even up" the top of the dumpster and have it picked up tomorrow. By the time I got back, dcleaning lady had been there again and cleaned out the shed and put more stuff in the dumpster. I had taken a small step ladder that got me up high enough and I was able to use the end of a mop to push things around so I think the dumpster will be okay to pick up. They had warned me that if it was overfull they wouldn't get it and they would charge me for the trip. I'm amazed at how good the shed looks - it was full of animal nests and junk two to three feet deep and it's been cleaned out and swept up. However much I complain sometimes about my cleaning lady, she is a hard worker and will take on almost anything. :D

I really haven't done anything here at home today and ddogs still want/need? a walk.

Tomorrow I have a lot I need do to get ready for Exec committee meeting tomorrow night. We have a winter weather advisory until 7 p.m. tomorrow evening, but they have been putting brine out to hopefully keep roads clear. I've already said I'll reschedule if the weather is iffy.

I think I'll walk ddogs, then assess what I reasonably can/should? do tonight.
