The rain was heavy overnight but has stopped for today i hope.
Washing is on the line. Hoping it gets dry. 2 more loads are in the queue, but will hold off for another day.
A long tree branch is over my driveway - still snagged by a thread to the tree.
My new neighbour and I mimed through my k window as to who would saw it. I think I won, however, seeing her prowess at digging holes for trees I think she is the much fitter by far. If she offers to help saw the branchy bit off I may accept.

I came home from ball practice and immediately started googling children broken nose. I learned that ....
* A swollen nose usually is not broken
* If it is broken, standard practice is to delay correction until the swelling is gone
* The swelling interferes with diagnosis and treatment
* It's hard to diagnose a broken nose because of nasal swelling (most swollen noses have no fracture).
* X-rays are often not helpful because injuries to the cartilage do not show up (most of the nose is cartilage).
* Looking at the nose after the swelling is gone (day 5 to 7) is the best way to tell if it is really fractured. It will look crooked or different than it used to. Delayed correction also helps the surgeon better see what may need to be corrected.

LO didn't hurt his nose on the ball field, but did it by running full blast into a trash can.

From what I can find, it wouldn't do any good to get it looked at while it is swollen. So we will ice it and wait. Hum....LO has an appoint with the ENT doc in 10 days for surgery followup. I'll ask the doc to take a look at LO nose then.

Ouch - LO. Not really the way to do a nose job.

Oh, oh, oh LO, I could feel your pain.

When the nurse called, she said it was not UTI or kidney infection, because there was no white cells. Although there was a trace of blood not visible to the naked eye. She said it could be another kidney stone. If so, go to the ER.

I was so tired and worthless that I just laid around all afternoon, watching TV or occasionally dozing.

Harriet, sounds like DD's school dropped the ball again.

Ivy, sorry you have crown work to do. Once mine came off and I rinsed it and immediately popped it into place again. I never took it out until I went back to dentist. I told him I wasn't buying another one, just reattach. And he did. It has lasted another 8 years or so.

OKay, sorry about dmom. And LO. Hope his nose isn't broken. DCousin fell and bruised her face but nose wasn't broken, though she says it is about 1/16 off from before.

Lilac, sure hope it's not a kidney stone.

Where's Dee? Hope all is alright.

DH came in so tired from church yesterday. He was all dusty. I could tell he didn't just sit in a chair and supervise. Today he went back out there. He made a trip out and bought sand and cement to use...and he had his dump truck out. It's gotta be very hard for him to get up into that vehicle and drive.

I don't go with him to the church. He gets mad at me if I nag at him to sit down or quit doing something. He's a grown man, I'm not the hip police. He'd love for me to tag along with him everywhere he went and help with everything. I'd never get any rest at all.

It's not like he does anything for me around here either. Wed morning I woke up with fuzzy head and headache which continued to get worse and worse. I had had my coffee and medicines and then it got so bad I threw all that up and took more painkillers and slept in bed all day. I don't know if I was sick first or the headache made me sick. It was not quite as bad as a migraine, but it was pretty bad. I honestly do not know how Cowinkie copes with all the ones she gets, they are awful. DH did not stay around here just because I was sick.

So today I stayed in bed all morning, feeling a bit weak. Then I got up but I stayed in PJ's all day. It is chilly in here, we had a cold rainy day. I ate soup all day. Think I am ok, just need to get back on my feet again.

About crowns, I have one that the dentist and his assistant said is loose. So far it's not loose enough that it moves at all. He has said at some point I will need a permanent bridge on it. It is the second to the last back tooth on my lower left side. Some people can smile and you don't see their back teeth. But if I smile big you would notice if there was a tooth missing. I asked them what I should do if the crown came off while I was out of town or over a weekend. They said to wash it and put either Vaseline or toothpaste inside the crown and put it back in. Oh yeah, you are suppose to dry the post before you re-insert the crown. Before our trip I bought gauze and a tube of Vaseline, just in case.

I better check my bs and head to bed.

Harmony... My guess is you puked because of your headache. Sometimes I get sick and then my headache hits really hard. With my "killers" I can puke to the point of dehydration. Special migraine meds incorporate an anti -nauseous meds in them. Between the pain of the headache and stress puking puts on my body I am toast the next day.

The violence of puking caused the arteries and muscles in the back of my neck to squeeze closed and block off oxygen to my brain. That's what caused my mini strokes... Go figure.

Sometimes I get a headache and THEN get sick to my stomach... But after a period of time I puke and then I get relief and my headache goes away.

Every morning when I wake up is a gamble. I usually peek out one eye to gauge what my morning will be like. My dr gave me an epi-pen like device during my recent visit to use with my bad headaches. I made sure sweetie learned how to use it cause when a bad headache occurs it's had for me to talk or focuse. I have to twist off the top part of the pen to use it, and I'm not sure I can when I am hit with a headache. I only have a very small window of time before the pain incompasitates me to the point I can't hardly move.

Life sucks when I get it to a cycle...I can only ride it out. My main worry is when I have a special event coming up like a wedding. Graduation Xmas or travel... There no way I can do those things if a headache hits. I just have to roll with the punches and hope for the best.
