Okay... your boots would have become lost in my office as well... I need Harmony and Twins to come over here and help me. I will be serving hot/cold tea... southern sweet tea with or with or without lemon can be arranged... water, soft drinks and cookies...I also have homemade truvie sugar cinnamon coated almonds for those watching their sugar intake....
My day did not go according to plans. Last night Sweetie said he wanted to go to the hardware store this morning. I needed to do a small w m run which is on the way to the his store. This morning I did my routine and told Sweetie I was ready to go anytime he was. I waited and waited. then he came in my office and said...I'm going to Home depot instead. Grrrrrrrr...there went half of my morning waiting for him when I could have done my run and been back before he left.
Now I have a terrible case of the Idontwannas...There's plenty for me to do, but I've sort of lost my mojo. Doesn't matter, I've been "doing" all week long. Just mad cause I could have done today that which I will do in the morning. I woke up a little after 4 this morning and finally got up around 5. Maybe what I need is another strong cup of coffee to get me going.
I bought an office chair last night and invited the Cowinkie's Home Improvement Center to come and assemble it. While playing with allen wrenches, screw and bolts I was thinking about Elizabeth and her independent abilities to fix what ever need to be done around the house. I'm sort of a girl like that myself, so it really ticked me off when I had to ask Sweetie to help assemble the chair. The screw wouldn't line up properly when attaching the chair arms to the chair and I thought I didn't have the strength to screw them in...that is my major number one complaint about aging. I don't car about wrinkles and i don't care about sagging skin, but I DO care about loosing my strength. I've always been the strongest woman I know, but the fact that opening a pickle jar is becoming a challenge does NOT sit well with me.
However I am some what happy toreport that even SWEETIE had a terrible time getting the chair arms attached to the chair there by convincing me I could have assembled the chairs if the person or machine who drill the screw holds had done it right in the first place.
Ok... off to make that coffe. Who cares if it 108* outside. My aunt and uncle would always drink hot black coffee at noon on a hot day on the farms. Would tell me all the time it helped to cool them down. Country people have amusing ways of entertaining themselves sometime. Gonna go see if it works... I can always jump in the pool if it doesn't
