Hello Dear Ladies,

Saw the sun for awhile but now it's cloudy. Maybe more rain on the way.

DH cooked breakfast today. Eggs and sausage. I was cleaning while he cooked and then cleaned up the mess from his cooking too.

Harmony I think you asked what Janette Oke book I was reading. I just started "Spring's Gentle Promise" which is the final book of the seasons of the heart series. There are many available for my i-phone or google tablet that I'll be reading her books for awhile.

Google play and I-phone books carry the same books but one is sometimes at a lower price than the other. So I check out both of them before purchasing a book. I usual have one book on my tablet that I am reading and one on my phone. I take my phone with me always and if I am stuck waiting somewhere, I use the time to read. At home I reward myself by reading on my tablet.

Sadie, we also have storms and rain moving in later, perhaps severe. I think I'm going to go ahead and run my three errands before storms hit.

Yi~Kathryn. Not funny at all. Hope the rest of the move goes much more smoothly! I'm not 'tapping' my foot as Harriet often does, but I'm stamping it!!

Yes, Cowinkie, I drink as much water as I can and also use my microwave heating pad to keep my left arm warm and sometimes wear gloves to help with that. But it's hard drinking too much water since it's fasting & my BS is already low. So I try to get out of bed and in there as quickly as I can. It's only 5 miles so not a long trip. Too bad I didn't realize earlier but the place where I had my mammo also is the on the same lab network & could have brought up my requisition order. Not sure I could have gone that long without eating though. The gal (of the 2) who did the mammo said, "Oh, you could go right in there & they'll pull it up for you." Too late though since it had to be fasting. I could have done 2 in 1 and been done. Can't believe how the stress of getting that done (mainly because of my arm & of course some nerves) tired me out! I snoozed a good deal this afternoon.

Dh was just in and he's all in. Said his tummy is upset. He had some macaroni salad (from fire dept meeting last night) for lunch & it's not setting well. Of course he's barely had anything solid in over a week. He goes to the dentist tomorrow to have his stitches out.

Think I'll try a short walk. BBL

Twins' Mom , I have SO many papers to sort through! I'm delighted though, being able to find poems for greeting card submissions and a poetry contest submission.

Today, I'll try to box up some of DD's books on loan, to send back with her, which I won't read. One's a 2-part book series, minus part 3, which is all about ghouls, witches & vampires. YIKES!

Dgrson-17 emailed he'll be here for 1 week on the 22nd - 28th. Will be so nice to see him. He started college at age 16.5 last fall, is amazing, and wants to be a pharmacist. He's so intelligent, adult, and it's a joy to interact and chat with him. I can hardly wait to see him. The other 2 grsons-15.5 & 14 in July, come at later dates, too. Will be so nice to see them, too. So grown up now, easy to converse with, and I learn so much from them. Dson/Ddil did a wonderful job raising them. They have 6 sons & 1 DD. But the family members all pitch in, work together, and it's wonderful to see a family with good kids in this world today, to be proud of. ♥ I love my grands, what can I say?

I'd better run and get out a box for some of DD's books to return to her on Father's Day.

DH just left to get groceries and a prescription for me. I "hope" he'll try to make it to the strawberry stand before they close, too.

Sadie & Harmony , I also have a Janette Oke book on my Nook. It's called "Once Upon a Summer." It's 203 pages on my Nook, so it's a LONG e-book! I have "Calling of Emily Evans," by her, too, on my Nook. It's 200 e-book pages. I've heard that books on the Amish are good, too, and also books with a quilting theme in them, as they sew their quilts, the authors sew and weave the characters' lives in, too.

Oh my goodness, ((Kathryn))! I just cringed at your post, especially the broken legs and hole in the table. That is really incredible.

Home from LO first library reading/craft event of the summer. This year had double the amount of children that attended last year.

The big spray rig came this morning to fertilize our pastures. Unfortunately it is still here. One of the booms fell off! Now there are 3 big trucks and a big tractor in the pasture using their hydraulics to lift & mount the boom back onto the rig.

The driveway buzzer came today and I have it temporarily installed while testing the best location for the transmitter. Normally there are only 3-4 vehicles coming in/out of our driveway but today the crew working on the spray rig coming in/out of the driveway is keeping it buzzing.

Dd has facebook posted about the damage. I'm just sick about the dining table. It is covered with the sounding cloth now (that was in the last load up from the truck) but the damage occurred from below and not above so the cloth would have made no difference.

The legs on the other items are simply glue back in place. I think the broken drawer handle on the bedside table can be swapped with one from our old closet door (and then just buy two more for the closet.) Damaged finishes

We have started the claims process.

There is room for all our stuff in the apartment. Just not with us too!

We just phoned management and the workman was in the wrong apartment. There will be no backsplash. I'm more than ok with that, we planned to hang a mirror behind the stove and with a backsplash there, we couldn't.

I'm starting by unpacking with my work desk and dh will start with his.

Dd was a wonderful. I'm so happy to have her here now. I sent her home and will see her on Thursday. That gives me a day to get my act together.

The phone company just showed up so that's another item getting crossed off our list.

So much to do in a 1,000 different directions, Kathryn. I find myself in a quandary as to what to take to FL as we'll have more room and hate to leave things in the 'frozen tundra' over the winter. And then "WORRY" that perhaps we'll end up staying up north at some point. Oh, who knows?

I've poured lots of water on the deck but it's still sticky. I didn't think it was until I walked in here and heard my shoes on the vinyl. Think our best bet is to just hose the heck out of it. Still have no idea what's happened with all our hummers. Did see one eating yesterday but they're hardly around now. Don't know if there's just too many feeders in the park or what.

I got caught out in the line of showers, wind and storm. I chatted a little at Michaels with the girl who had helped me choose the colors, mat, etc for the original collage that I had framed for the temple president before me - she is dating a Jewish guy who is a counselor at the same camp that dd had been at for the last two years. He's been a counselor for several years so dd probably knows him. I told her that Jewish men are great.

Everyone sounds so productive today.

I unloaded the DW, sorted the mail & helped put groceries away.
I looked at the May charge card bill & I'm SO EMBARRASSED to say this---- - but I charged $70 worth of books, paperback & hardback, & e-books for May. I told DH I'll "NOT" be purchasing books now, will read my own, what DD has loaned me, & have the option of "buying" free e-books. I also have good books I've read, which will be good re-reads, because I read them years ago. $70 on books is a bit over-the-top & I admit, I just didn't KNOW! I should keep a running ledger of expenditures in my top office drawer. I mean, paying for gas for the truck & car are getting high! So why add to that?
I need to start a lol, sort papers/files, do snail mail, work on outlines, & I'm taking it easier today, as wasn't 100% until I finally got some Greek yogurt in me, for lunch. NOW I'm feeling more "normal", in the digestion arena.
It's so nice to have a lot of books together, for DD, which I won't read. 1 has a rape scene in it, which someone was shocked over when she'd read it, so she was stunned I was going to read it, too. I think DD will love a released-this-year book of short stories though. There's1 story in it, which is written in the future, which was highly WEIRD & I can't get over the question of "Why did the author even WRITE it?" when it's so different from the other stories in the book. I can't let my writer grson-15.5 read it b/c it has "s-e-x" in it. But DD is an adult, reads a lot, so I'd love to chew the fat over this particular short story.
I got a Woman's Day Magazine yesterday, found a Reminiscence Magazine I've not read, so will read them, cut out & Exacto knife pages for pen pals. So MANY pals & relatives, too, are so thankful for receiving articles & my cat desk calendar pages, because of the info on each pages about particular breeds of cats. It's fun to think something so simple, as an envelope stuffer, would brighten up somebody's day, but they DO. I think it's little things in life, that touch us all. For instance, today I received a 2-birds bookmark because the pal said she knew how much I loved to read. It's sweet things like that, while sharing IRL thoughts, lives, or weather, pets, family, etc... which are touching & rewarding.

I apologize for my blatant ramblings. I'm sleepy, too. I bid you a fond farewell & wishes for a wonderful afternoon & on into evening. I'm sorry for Kathryn & the damage, but WTG to file claims so fast! Glad you got your mammogram, Dee , and Twins' , I can almost smell the sauce from here & want to come eat that!!!!
