Guess I'm wondering how tomorrow will turn out...
Called music director @ church to make sure he had organist lined up...
Called dbil & left phone message telling him who to make checks out to (organist, music director, preacher)
Got phone call from dmil's friend in Washington
Have been coloring and playing w/dgs
Ate breakfast (had a donut, which will keep me off-kilter now all day

Re: Wednesday Wondering
I need to s2s.
In a couple hours, ddil will be finished w/her endoscope & colonoscopy, and we'll be meeting them to help ds pick up rental car. Tomorrow night he has to drive about six hours to meet up w/his band. He'll drop off the rental car and travel with the band for the rest of the weekend. Sunday we'll join them at a music festival that dh has always loved to go to, and ds will ride home with us on Tuesday night.
Tonight, dh's cousin will be arriving about 11:30 to stay with us and attend the funeral tomorrow.
Our little dgs is doing a lot more jabbering these days, Dee... making me think MAYBE the talking is not far off. He interacts with us very well and obviously understands everything we say, so I keep trying to leave this worry in God's hands, too! EVERYONE tells me when he finally does start talking, there are going to be days when I want him to hush, LOL!
(((Kathryn))) Moving is just so stressful. I cannot imagine what it's going to be like to clean out dmil's house... ddil said, "I kept opening cabinets and I'd think, 'Here's ANOTHER set of dishes..." Can y'all imagine... dmil and dfil were in the furniture business for over 30 years... going to furniture market every year... she had accumulated a LOT of STUFF. No way I have space to store everything I'd like to keep from that house, but I hope dbil will agree that we all need to go through the house and talk about what we'd each personally like to save.
So much more I'd like to reply to but dgs is persistently covering the entire house with toys... dh keeps interrupting me... and I must get into the shower.
* Give the newest board baby a big kiss from all his cyber aunties, Harriet!
TTYL!!!

Looking forward to your talking about wishing dgs would stop talking so much, LucyLee.
It's like this little guy is in just one big hurry to live life. So enjoyable! Always sounds like you're enjoying it too. Of course ours wants to be doing everything his big brother & sister (they're 14) do and of course "Daddy". He also has no fear which is always worrisome to a Grandma.

Morning ya'll...
I'm slowly coming to life. Didn't feel well at all yesterday, but pushed through and got my office done, closet and all. Made dinner for Sweetie and went to bed...woke up this morning with a slight...for me...headache. Didn't take chances and took a full dose of my meds. Still...
The laundry is done and put away. I had blessed the house on Monday so everything is in order. That's at least a yeah for me.
Dee...sounds like your community was visited by teenage Gypsies. They are known for selling magazine subscriptions, taking the persons money and disappearing never to be seen again. And of course the magazines never show up. You should notify your local sheriff or police department because those departments are always on the look out for such scammers. Plus some times the "crew" of teenagers are run-a-ways and are working for bosses who notoriously abuse the kids.
I need to make a library run to pick up a book on hold and then \on my way home will stop off at the grocery store for just a few things.
I have a huge pile of stuff for G will, but that will have to wait for Friday. Cya'll later...Enjoy your day....

Re: Wednesday Wondering
I'm wondering how I can clone myself. The amount of things needing to be done could easily keep two me busy.
DGS17 txt this morning asking if I could come before the play on Sunday and hang around with him. I can't.
DSon just wrote me a very kind email stating how much they miss us and asking "What do you think is the best way to get you more integrated with our family?" ARGH!! I didn't visit last month because all the end of school activites. April only had a hectic trip with all the time spent in hospital with DGD3. Here it is...the 3rd month with no visit. When compared with the other Grandmother (whom I really like), I come up glaring short. The other Grandmother is retired, not married and only one child (DDIL) and only has two Grandchildren. The other Grandmother is not involved with the community, church and has no hobbies so her entire focus is upon DDIL and 2 Grandchildren. The other Grandmother is wonderful about spending much time with them. She visits them for weeks at a time....compare to me.... visiting for 24 hours once a month ...and now I have fallen down on even doing that.
Searching for a solution.... I look at the calendar - full of activities scheduled for LO. Obviously, I'm failing at fairly splitting my time between Mom and Nana activities & focus. And while I admitting to failures....I'm failing as Great Grandmother too. It has been 2 months since I've seen that little bundle of joy.
Soooo....how to fix this? I don't think cloning myself is an option.

Re: Wednesday Wondering
Nancy , I have a kitty cat who "helps" me.
I did 2 lol, dumped all trash, DH took the can/recycle bin to the curb for tomorrow's pick-up. I did 4 computer letters, enclosing poems, etc.. I'd gotten published years ago. I sorted the mail with DH at my side sorting his. I got a lovely letter with a friendship greeting card from my BFF. She's such a dear, I met her on a crochet site, we've been friends for 10 years or more and as the years go by, our friendship deepens and is so much more sweet. It's so nice to hear praise from her, as to how encouraging my letters are to her. SHE does the SAME thing for ME!
Anyway, it's still sunny, DH finished getting wood, the news at noon is on, the neighbor's still bulldozing, and I need to put away 1 lol. I washed sheets, so we'll make the bed. I need a nap, but the bulldozing prevents that. I say "This is temporary; this will pass."
I was feeling so good for quite awhile, but then acid worked up in my tummy. I used Pepto-Bismol and it worked for a bit, but ended up eating Greek yogurt with some Optifiber in it and I feel wonderful- tummy-wise- now.
I hope DH helps me make the bed with him, so he's not doing it alone, since he's just worked in the woods and he's tired, too. Teamwork, I say! As I wave my sword like a swashbuckler!
Too many pirate movies of late on TCM.
I doubt that I'll submit any contest poem or greeting card poems today, as I'm tired. Perhaps after a nap I will.
I'd love to get to my outlining of stories, too, but the groaning of that blasted machine is annoying and interrupts my train of thought.
Maybe if I just "tune him out" and focus-focus-focus on my outline template, after I come up with good names for characters, I can do it?
It's such a good release for me, not only creatively, but also emotionally. Doubts or anger, etc.. seem to magically melt away when I put pen to paper.
I guess that's "The Muse"?
I got out a lined basket from my office, with papers in it, to sort through. I'll try to get at it this afternoon, in baby steps. This is my 5th day of 1-hour-a-day decluttering sessions, but today, I know I need to break it up into smaller increments.

Once a month meal would be better than nothing. But they want more than that. They want to play ...and go for walks.....and talk...and go on picnics....and snuggle under a quilt together....read books..... and and and. I want that too. But I don't know how to fit it in.

At car dealership for the oil change. Picked up the plexiglass for the table cover and changed our address on driving license and health card but need to go back for car license since we forgot the form.
Car is done. Gotta run.
