I pulled some towels from the garage that dd brought home when she moved out of apartment at school and they are in the washer going through a heavy duty washing. I wonder what she's using for towels now?
This round:
-text dniece re timing of food
-shape challah to rise
-10 pieces of paper
-make the bed
-brush and floss

When dd gets home I hope to have her try to save any photos from the old site. When she has time. She should be back tonight after all. I was right to begin with. They had their awards ceremony this morning and then it will be mass exodus for home sweet home for a good share of them. There were over 6,800 members/teachers/chaperones from TSA at the Gaylord Hotel in National Harbor -just outside D.C. Know dBailey will be very glad to have her back 'home'. Found out last night that dcampowner has a refund for her. Not realizing she had a membership he had charged her as dh's dd -which was a larger rate per night. Evidently dd never noticed.
One of dd's students placed in the top 10 in the U.S. in his category. Have a feeling I know who it is. They all are to be proud of -they had 11 students there -all middle schoolers.
Need to rustle up something for lunch. Think we'll order pizza and wings for a b'day dinner. Too hot to cook anyway.

Dee, the convention I went to a couple of years ago was at that hotel! Huge facility!

Hello everyone. I had a bit of a problem getting in. My computer has developed such a rut in it's "road" to the old site it couldn't get onto the new road here! I guess I should clear my history, that might help, though that is the way I get to my county sites (easier than using bookmarks since I'm there so often). Anyway, here I am.
Question for those smarter than me: which one of the board preferences is the closest to the purple one I was using last time? I don't remember what that was called. The thing I liked about that the most was that it told me which threads I had read completely and which I needed to read the last posts before going to the next topic. Does one of the preferences have this feature?
I did read Nancy's post about wanting the "coffee cup" I used. I notice your cheery face is once again there - but if you decide you still want it and I get a few minutes to put something else you are welcome to it. Let me know.
Lady M, maybe things are looking up with all the calls? We can hope that's so.
Yesterday was church and I was quite busy with communion. Many were away and our trays must be set up / emptied / redone / washed / reloaded with empty cups / put in their flannel pockets and stored away for 4 services. After the last service there were only 3 of us left doing it. I went out and got the teenagers to gather up all the empty cups to throw away. I'm still struggling with low energy so needed a big nap after all that.
Today I had to go pick up dump truck, get it in 4-wheel drive and get it out of a ditch where it was parked, and take to another jobsite where that crew unloaded big pipe on top. Then I had to do it all in reverse so I could get my car and go home. I have to think there are real reasons I have so much anxiety. Sometimes I think it would not be normal to do some of this stuff with no worries at all.
This is probably too long. I can't tell yet, with this nice big screen I have now the posting square is huge.
I better get to work around here. I haven't closed out the last month yet.

Good afternoon all! I am finally getting here.
I see we have a FelineFriend here!
I'm storing away the tidbit about lemonade, LadyM. That is interesting - makes sense. I wonder if it works only with lemonade made with lemon juice vs. from a powder? I also wonder if the acidity of wine would make a difference as well.
Congratulations to dd and her students, Dee!
My day:
x finished prepping one activity for tutoring today
x basic getting self ready
x tutoring - it went very well! I'm glad I put in the prep time last night. I had 5 students by the end. Conversations about Independence Day turned to our country's short history comparative to my students' countries' histories - Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. We talked about how they learn thousands of years of their country's history in school. Many of them do not like history. . . .
x drove to neighboring village for moms group teaching team meeting - only to learn that it had been cancelled while I was tutoring
x returned 2 DPCs - (1) dd18's script will be renewed once she does her next round of bloodwork and (2) arranged for a time on Saturday to meet and pray w/ family w/ another member of the care team.
x looked for my cell phone - which I can't find anywhere. I had it when I went jogging yesterday morning. I'm hoping I left it in dh's car. . .
x lunch - 1/2 lawash wrap w/ ham, a bit of mayo and mustard, lettuce and tomato. And plain Greek yogurt over blueberries and strawberries. Yum! And only 4 WW points. I've decided not to buy those low cal yogurt cups anymore since I like the plain yogurt over fruit, and I can reduce consumption of artificial sweeteners. I noticed that LadyM uses stevia - I've heard good things about it.
x explored my breadmaker recipe book. Dd16 suggested making homemade pizzas for supper tonight, and I can make the dough in my machine!
x tried to apply the topical antibiotic on Maia's neck, with limited success. After one spray, she leapt up, tore around the house 2 times and then ran out the door. . . .She was behaving as she does when she is really riled up to play.
After I finally got her calm and sitting again, a 2nd squirt resulted in a similar reaction - except I'd locked the door so she couldn't let herself outside and instead she helped herself to her after treatment "treat" which I'd stupidly left sitting out nearby.
I think I'll wait for dh to get home to hold her while I make sure her raw spots are covered well. She has her collar off while inside now.
Next - finish the a.m. routine.
Later:
- keep laundry going
- groc. store
- Target/Tarjay

Harmony: I'm using SocialPhobia and it is instinctively close to the old GlossyPurple. When I was looking for styles to load, I could only find GlossyBlack, the rest don't seem to be available.
I've re-opened the old boards hopefully in read-only mode (I tested it using the permissions of a registered user and a member and both seemed to be alright but I might have missed something. You should be able to go get your photos now (and avatars too.)
For any photo, simply right click on it and 'save image as' and it will be loaded on to your computer. Note where you put it and you can then put the photo back into the thread on this board.
The old boards will be there for sure until July 4. After that we have up to 14 days before they will be removed for the internet.

Helia, I'm the FelineFriend, but used to be Ivy. I changed my user name because I love cats. ♥ DH will only allow 1 cat in the house.
So I cherish her.
I love Nancy's cheery Avatar face, too!
It's supposed to be 92* now, they say, here.
I'm not a "hot weather" person. Take 2 meds, which can cause heat stroke, etc.. so need to be careful about that.
DH is getting his physical, I'm concerned, because his BS was up to 220 - 230, like it was 7 years ago, before the drug study. The drug study med made it go down to 108 - 110, but the study ended & the med went on the market. Now Dr. will need to do something else for DH. I'm surmising another drug study, if one's available, if he qualifies or insulin. I feel bad if he needs to go on insulin, but if it'll help him, it's a good thing, right? So think positive!
Thank you, Kathryn, for all you do for us. I hope you're having a Happy Canada Day, too!
I need to have QT and journal now. Got my 'to do' list done. Then I'll get going. At least the bed's made and looks pretty.

Not sure what to do about the photos I've posted. Most aren't worth saving and reposting, just the ones of SHE get-togethers. I have them all on my computer, so I'll save them and perhaps put them up in a dedicated thread.
I spent some time on the balcony, watching the Snowbirds (Canada's precision flying team). Will post pictures soon.

Yes, I recognized you as the old "Ivy," FelineFriend.
I could tell it was you by your posts - and by your avatar. I don't think I had realized before that you loved cats so much! I'm glad you can have one.
Not sure what I've done since I last posted - other than look at various pans I might use for the pizzas. I don't have proper pizza pans, actually. But I think I can make do. Dd16 thinks I'm a little silly for measuring and calculating areas of pans b/c I can roll the dough as thick or as thin as I like. Yes, she has a point - but I will probably try to follow the recipe closely. That is what I try to do each time I use a recipe for the first time. And this recipe specifies size of pizzas for the amount of dough made.
