I rolled out of bed & hit the floor running at 5am this morning and haven't stopped. It feels good to have a plan at the same time I have the energy and time to work it.

If anyone uses Google tasks and an android phone, I highly recommended GTask app. I've been testing it out for a couple weeks and love how it combines calendar events with reoccurring tasks (aka SHE cards).

Had lots of veggies and then french toast for lunch (dh was cooking!) I've cleaned up all the dishes and started the dishwasher.

Yesterday we brought our regular cutlery from the house and I've put that into the cutlery dispenser (an old dishwasher cutlery rack that stands the cutlery up in a deep, narrow, drawer) and am washing up my mom's old silver cutlery to take back to the house for ds to use when he moves there.

Finished my task for the US accountant so dh and I might take a bike ride now.

The real estate agent confirmed a showing for the house for tomorrow night so I might run out tomorrow afternoon and open windows to freshen it up again and place feature sheets out for the people viewing (since my stupid agent hasn't produced feature sheets, given me business cards, or really done anything at all to sell the house.) I'm tempted to put up signs pointing to features in each of the rooms. Double level cutlery drawer, and dual fuel, double-oven, range in the kitchen, for example.

Big (for me) ta-da here. Quarterly stuff all done, some mailed, some waiting for tomorrow. It was tough to do this time. I worked so slowly... but as usual, one stack done, another appears and there are lots of bills to sort & pay.

I so need to go to bank and grocery. I donwanna.

We're getting wind from that storm. And clouds. As it moves on north we should get less. Crossing my fingers.

Harriet, cobbler smells delicious!

Oh, when DH came home with all that stuff the other day, he wasn't bare. Neither was there a bear in the truck with him. When will I ever remember how to spell?!

Hello Dear Ladies,

Posted yesterday but it got lost somewhere.

So glad to have our new home, hope it went smoothly.

Been busy with doctor appointments. I got a steroid shot on Monday to help get my arm moving better. I keep trying but it is slow process. Then today DH went to the doctor with a lot of mosquito bites, concerned with West NIle Virus as he had a very bad headache from them for days. So a shot for him and anti-biotics, I don't think it is West Nile, maybe a mild form of it.

Got a call from heart doc for Dson-18 only to tell us they had filed for insurance approval which was disappointing because we thought they had already filed and was looking for a definate date and time.

HOT here. Got to go to work today.

Going to check out our new place and see what everyone's been up to.

Waving to all!

Back here after finishing my house. Everything is clean, clean, clean and I love the way it looks, feels and smells.

Mystery...Sweetie ended up installing the shower head. It was suppose to be easy and take 5 minutes...Yeah right think they just tell you that so you will buy it .

As it is I just finished dong the house. I gave myself a goal of being done by noon and beat the time by 30 minutes. My floor leading to the other part of the house is still wet so I am stranded in my office and decided to use the time to check in.

Dont know how the shower feels because I haven't had a chance to use it. Need to put away my cleaning supplies and put my throw rugs back down through out the house before I get ready to try it out.

While cleaning it occured to me how thankful that I found P&P. I use their method of staying on task, keeping focused and how to work through my house over and over again. I think I'm going to return to my old weekly schedule that I used many years ago. I will need to modify it a bit, but I really do love having a specific day for cleaning. I physic myself up the night before and roll out of bed ready for action.

Ok...now its time for me to try out the shower. Then I get to play with my old photos. Remember I have a new-to-me cousin who I will get to meet when I go home to visit my mom. She comes from the family that my mother and her parents visited for most of my mom's memories. I believe this photo album comes from my cousins family and the pictures are really her realatives. That in its self makes me wonder why my grandfather, who was my cousin's grandmother's first cousin would have it.

Anyway the two albums are way too heavy and cumbersome for traveling. I've tried to scanned the photos but they don't come out very clear. Best I can do is take pictures of the photos and then make copies from them....

Hope ya'll are having a good day...Harriet will you have to batten down the hatch for the coming storm.

And for those of you who think its hot...just step outside my door. The 112* heat wil be ready to greet you...think hairdryer on steriods

I'm finally here. It's been that kind of a day. And I haven't even gotten that much done.

My day so far: Both dh and I slept through our simultaneous 7 a.m. alarms to get up a little before 8. We were out jogging around 8:30 - the parking lot of our standard starting point was full so we went to another parking lot. The paths connect and lead to the same parks, so it's kind of she same route, just entering at a different spot. I made a little progress on the a.m. routine this a.m. but then got sidetracked writing a reply email to dsil in the UK. My oldest nephew (dh's side) - he is also the oldest grandchild - is now officially a doctor! (MD doctor) I think he still needs to do rotations or something - I always forget the order of things, and it may be different from here too. He is going to do a specialty area (ophthalmology) so maybe he still needs to do that too. She is proud of him, as she should be. One of her other sons is struggling a little.

Then, I had my birthday lunch out with friend B! It was so enjoyable, and we stayed probably longer than we intended. She did find my cell phone, though. LOL! She called it this morning - and someone actually answered it and told her it was in the room at the community college where I'd been tutoring yesterday. So, after lunch, I drove over and picked it up. It is a non-smart phone, so I wasn't too worried about someone stealing it, an advantage to having "older" out-of-style things. I was also grateful for honest people! Once home, I made the marinade for the chicken tonight. It is supposed to marinate overnight, but we're going to say 2 hours is close enough. The marinade involved dicing about 10+ cloves of fresh garlic (more than the recipe called for but dh and I both are big fans of garlic) and grating 1/4 cup of fresh ginger. My goodness, I'd forgotten how the ginger in the hand becomes a fibrous blob when grated - but I got my 1/4 cup. This brings me to now. 3:30 pm. At least dinner is mostly done. I'll eventually set my rice cooker to work and look into roasting some brussel sprouts.

Hmm..... Still a gazillion things to do.

Next:
- finish a.m. routine
- vacuuming chore
- find sheets to put on ds' bed, known in the past as GG's bed

Some of you ladies here are talking about style changes with the website. I'm not quite getting that, but it sounds interesting. I see it in the plain ol' darker and paler blue shades. Are some of you seeing it in different shades? Could be interesting!

:D Good Afternoon, Ladies! :D

I got up at 5:35 a.m., worked on the rest of a story by hand, ate, s2s, and even remembered to put my Aveeno on my face. DH got firewood today, I got sleepy and slept from9 - 9:30 a.m. in the recliner. When I did yoga this morning, Kitty Cat helped me. (She has a name, but wants to remain anonymous on the boards, so Kitty Cat it is.) ;) When I rode my recumbent bike 1 mile, Kitty Cat helped me do that, too.

I worked on the manuscript about 4 - 4.5 hours, proofed, edited a few times, then submitted it. I'm real happy with it, have 2 more stories to go, before the July 11 deadline. I might work on 1 by hand today or veg out, nap, write letters, crochet and read.

DH is watching the Mariners play Houston. He'll get the mail in a little bit. None came yesterday. :o It's nice when that happens, too, because nobody needs a reply letter. I owe 3 - 4 people, too.

Helia, Sorry you and your DH slept through your alarms. :o :o It's nice you jog together. You sound like you have a busy day.

Ramblinrose, Your house sounds so nice, fresh, aromatic and clean. :D

Nancy, Your hens sure lay eggs good for you. :D

Sadie, I'd be disappointed, too, because you expected them to send the approval in before now. I know how you want to get this approved and done soon, so Dson-18 can get back to a normal healthy life. :!: All my best!

Waving to you all. I'm tired from work, get dry eyes at the computer screen, so need to put more eye gel in. You all have a GR8 afternoon. :D :D

Good afternoon everyone! I woke up late, but still have accomplished or at least planned the essentials for the day. The scrapbook Bible study is taking care of dinner for me (hot dogs), but that meant I had to get my act in gear for it. I have gathered info and printed it and planned where it will go and will do the actual placing and gluing tonight. The scrapbook theme is supposed to be "This is My Story", but mine is more like "This is My Foster Kitten's Story". They won't kick me out! I still do the appropriate Bible study part. Late lunch has been eaten, some other tasks completed. FlyLady's zone is the living room, but I really need to get the sewing room safe for babycats. The new babies will make an adoptive litter for the current foster kitten. DFosterCat2 is interested in playing with the current kitten, not sure if she will be interested in being momcat again though. The kittens will be old enough that the lack of a momcat should not be an issue.

There is still a lot of stuff on my list. After the Bible study, I must run errands. I am out of Cheerios (DD12's request) and printer ink (useful for turning out résumés). Next up will be job search activities, fun, fun. A recruiter has a lead on a C++ job with FORTRAN!!! It is in Santa Fe, so I would ride the train in and bike to the job site. This would be great - job + exercise all in one.

If helia is having a birthday lunch, it is time to say Happy Birthday Helia!

MysteryWoman: I need you to come over to my house and whip some slacker butt into shape here. No, not DD12's behind, but my own!
