Tomorrow dh is taking off work and they are all doing a day trip about 2 hours away. I will have a quiet house to cook, also dcleaning lady will be here in the a.m.

Instability today has the market and dh unsettled. He's hating to be away from work tomorrow but will deal with it. Airliner shot down by Ukraine rebels and IDF went into Gaza. Our friends have a son in Israeli army; he is in press relations however.

TMI ....I've asked the pediatrician a couple times over the past 5 years if I should be doing anything to care for LO **parts**. Each time I asked the pediatrician always told me to leave it alone and nature would take care of it. Yesterday LO pediatrician was quick to tell me that I didn't do anything wrong with LO care. I was telling him how I track LO daily water consumption and our general stance on limiting LO drinking cokes. I learned when LO was very young that he needed a bath every night (not a shower) so **body parts** would be immersed & stay clean. When LO first had problems, I stopped putting bubble bath in his bath water thinking maybe that was causing a problem. His pediatrician said that it wasn't anything that caused it.

Our temps are sooo nice with a gentle breeze. VERY unusual weather for this time of the year. DH took LO with him for a couple hours so I worked in the garden. It was very peaceful and quiet. When LO arrived home he joined me in the garden and picked the tomatoes (couple dozen).

Dinner was unplanned but pulled together quickly. A mixture of leftovers and sandwiches.

We watched an old 1950's movie with DH while LO and I shelled peas.

DH has left to do MPB chores. LO and I just finished our PM cards. It's time for bed.

Sweet dreams.

Nancy, The mouse bed is underneath the windshield wipers area, down below, inside there. So, no. I doubt if our cat in a cat carrier, inside the car's going to scare them away. My cat doesn't like the cat carrier anyway and I wouldn't do that to her in a hot garage in a hot car on a hot day either. The car needs to be dismantled in that area, then the mouse bed taken out. It "smells" like they're still in there, because the smell's stronger. :x It's very frustrating for us, so I hope DH's friend can help us out. :)

Sadie, I'm so sorry the date for the procedure's been changed to a later date. (((Sadie's DS-18)))

LadyMaverick, It sounds like you did everything right, to me, and nothing wrong, concerning the care of LO's "parts". Sometimes these things just happen. I hope he'll get to feeling better with the med and if he has surgery, it'll not be too bad for him. The discomfort would be temporary, but to a child feeling it, it seems like it won't end. But if he's told, just for a little while, then he'll be okay real soon, it'd be easier for him. He'll probably be scared.

Twins' Mom, Enjoy your day trip. :) :)

Kathryn, I'm glad you said what you did to the waitress about the party of 21 and they were coming from the funeral of a baby. She needed to know that and it sounds like it sure changed her attitude, too. Also, it's good that young man in your building now knows there are others his age there, too. He's probably feeling very hopeful. And less alone. :)

Harriet, Did you get your nap in? :?:

I wrote 3 letters, browsed headband patterns, printed up 2 with crocheted flowers on them. I'm letting my hair grow out again because my lady barber is an appt.-only one. We don't have time to make an appt., because all of our days are taken up with our own scheduled things. I'll let it grow until I have a week or two of nothing to do. HA! :!: (You know what I mean.) When I find I have afternoons free for a week or two, I'll have a better chance of getting in and making the time to go.

I'm tired. It's been a long day. I got a letter from a lady I've not replied to for 7 months, because she always does a very negative brain dumping in her letters, says oh, poor woe is me stuff, wants a friend, but seems to push them away with her attitude and I don't like her either. She wanted to know if we were still pen pals. Ah, no. We're not. I just can't take letters like that. :x I like the cheerful, newsy, happier pals who are interesting, who craft, read good books, look at life and Mother Nature with favor and bring a smile to my face and make it a true joy to reply to. Not somebody who drags you down to their miserable level just because they're so miserable.

Well, enough said. I'm tired and probably should be quiet now. Like I said, it's been a long day. Have a Great Friday tomorrow, Everyone! :D
