I was not hugry so did to eat had a late breakfast that rarely happens. #'s are even better this afternoon yea! So feeling more confident in this med. Transition now.

Crock pot is going now with dinner.

Hi everyone! It's been a few days since I've posted. I took a walk through the village to cuop and see what's new. Congratulations to MT's DD on her teaching job. All the hard work is worth it. Glad that dh didn't get hurt on his fall.
Harriet, That's one way to get things started; guess dh didn't really want to work outside!
((LO & LadyM)). Feeling sorry that LO is hurting. Hope school day went well. Sending good thoughts for dd and dgd3.
Nancy, I'm glad to hear you are adjusting your meds and getting better numbers.

I have been in rest/recoup mode for the last week or so. I haven't felt quite normal, but nothing I could put into words. I've felt like I was getting a cold or something, being tired, napping most every day, not feeling like doing anything more than basic routine, etc. Although today I felt more back to normal, I didn't feel like walking though the cold grocery store, so I sent dh with a list. I helped put everything away when he came home.

We've had so many cloudy days lately and rain almost every day, but the temps have cooled way down. There is still more rain in the forecast for the next week yet.

We talked to ds#3 over the weekend and all is well with them. Dgs12 is playing soccer this fall again and they won the game on Sat. Ds also told me that ddil has a new job. For the past few years she has worked in the pharmacy at Target, but saw an opening for a position as school nurse at one of their local high schools and applied. She got the job and her first day was yesterday. She has wanted to get back into nursing since they moved to VA and is really happy she will be more on schedule with dgkids, working school hours and home by 3:30 or 4 pm for supper and off summers. She may want to go back to school to get her RN. We also talked to ds#2 on Sunday. He's been really sick with flu?? and they didn't want to come see us and maybe pass it along to us. We took dgd12 to school on Mon. morning and will take her again tomorrow morning.

The sun is getting ready to set here and the clouds are turning a bright yellow/coral now. Nicer than it has been the last few days.

I got the cookies baked and packed 5 doz to go to temple, and about 2.5 doz for us for Thursday, with a handful out for me/dh to munch. DH got home early - I had a full head of steam and momentum but it got killed. I guess that's okay because I struggle with how I make myself so crazy with this event. It's not healthy to exhaust myself and to get so carried away with it that I can't enjoy it.

Anyway, I went over to neighbors and cut hydrangeas - they are beautiful and huge. I put 4 into a large pitcher on the end of my breakfast bar where we'll be putting out the buffet food. Still have a bunch of them littering my kitchen and dh is slicing the briskets and putting them back into the pans. I'll just heat them up on Thursday.

Dh and I then went out to eat and went on a walk through Tar-jay and I bought a small, long table that I can set up for desserts in the DR. And by the time we got home, I needed to walk Moses. (Macs isn't budging from the kitchen while there's brisket being sliced.) So my momentum is long gone and kitchen, between the baking and hydrangeas is trashed.

I don't know where to start, but it may be too late for this evening.

Another 'wasted' day. Got the clocks wound today. Around the apartment, that's all I did.

Singing was fun. Lunch was good. Visiting with people in the village was nice.

Ran a few errands and have an appointment for Thursday morning to get a safety deposit box. Will empty and cancel our old one on our way home from the house on Thursday afternoon.

We brought the big antenna back here to see if it would improve reception. No such luck. There are 3 US PBS channels right on the cusp of being picked up but we can't lock in on them. It did pick up the analog station 2 hours from here but that was the only extra one it got and it is just a repeat of a local digital station (useful when weather breaks up the digital transmission but otherwise not worth keeping a 3' x 3' antenna array around.)

I said I'd sell it online and moments later dh came to ask how much I wanted. He had a lead on someone who wanted it. I asked who, and it turns out the new owners of the house want it. I said I'd only sell it to them for $250 with the tower as it is now (he can put the two segments back up.) I'm so angry because ds really suffered up there on the tower (and is still mad at himself that he couldn't lift the segment off properly and got it stuck. We talked to them twice about not removing the tower, pointing out the money they'd save on cable, the value of the tower, etc. but the wife thinks it is ugly so it would still have to come down, they just want the antenna. Well, nope. All, as is, or nothing.

Not only that, I want to cut the 50' of cable on the outside because, technically, it is ours and they asked for the tower and antenna to be gone. Dh, nice guy that he is, wants to keep the cable in place so they can hook up their own antenna or dish. Actually, ds should have the cable because he'll need it when he gets a place of his own and puts up his own tower.

I had a light dinner since I had had a big lunch. Still need to update my food diary.

Will do that now and then tidy the kitchen. Perhaps I'll head to bed.

Dd is coming tomorrow at lunch for a visit. So I have that to look forward to.

My traditional Tuesday was to get back to a yoga class. I am stiff today because while it might be traditional for me to go to yoga classes, I've been so far from regular my muscles need to recompute. My feet/ankles didn't get jarred this time so that is a plus. I still need to have a talk with the instructor after class. or maybe get there earlier enough to speak to her before hand. She did get to see how easily I am off balance, and agreed that a hugely modified pyramid was what I could do.

I'm taking my chances with a load of darks today. Fingers crossed they get dry, or maybe we get the needed rain. Either would be a win.

Have just cuop. MT, you can dig out your craft room. I know you can, I just had to dig out my whole house!

I wanted to say that I saw a couple neighborhood dogs, black labs and they both were wearing bright red kerchifs around their necks. Looked so cute! And I'll bet they are easier to see in the dark.

Hugs for (Dee). And Twins, with all those people coming, wow, sounds like a lot of work for sure. Hoping LadyM's daughter makes the last of her trip safely. How did LO manage his salve at school? Lynlee, I admire your going to yoga..I know I could never do it, probably couldn't walk or move the next day!

Lucylee, the time before last when I went for my mamo, they gave me a nice little fabric tote bag! Last time, new place, nothing. I agree with Nancy, I'd tell the drs. office. My last 2 places at least looked at everything and knew they didn't need any more pics. (oh, same thing here, bathroom breaks take longer...)

Sorry Sunny isn't feeling well. I had to decide whether to go to jobsite to help or not and I was almost afraid to try it in case I wasn't able to do it. But finally I just felt bad not being there so I packed up a lunch and went out. DH tells me he was just kidding about my coming out to help... but of course I didn't know that...and he didn't tell me who was working. He had 2 very good workers who were getting everything accomplished and even told him to go away and go after supplies, they didn't need him around. If I'd known that I wouldn't have gone.

Anyway, I got to visit with my dsil and I ran errands on the way back home. 2 returns, gassed up the car, bought dh's lunches for tomorrow. He's taken to getting subs at the supermarket. Not too much more expensive than the ones I used to make and a lot less time...and I think he likes them better...

Finished paperwork this evening and dishes. Oh, I got plants while I was out, tomatoes, peppers and seeds, it's the last week for planting here so going to do that tomorrow. Off to bed...
