Cathy sorry I misunderstood your post. Yes, you'll have to get the house cleared out.

We finished our place today. Ds couldn't help so it took us three trips with our car.

There are 5 boxes for ds that are still in the garage and he'll pick those up when he stops working. He took an extra shift today so worked 5 hours, had 2 off, then an 8 hour shift, 8 off and another 8 hour shift. He's then off until Sunday night so will go out sometime after he wakes up on Sunday to get the boxes and leave his garage door opener.

Our lawn person dropped by and we were able to say our thanks to her for all she's done for us. Then we gave her our hose (100' high quality one) and my old bike. So that's two large things gone to someone who'll have a use for them.

I cried when leaving the place tonight since it is our last time there (probably.)

Tomorrow I have to empty the car (which is loaded to the edges) to the thrift store, Habitat for Humanity and the electronics recycle place. Then out to dd's to drop three items to her.

My plan is to swim tomorrow morning and then head off to do the errands. We'll see how that works out. There's also an aquafit class at 9 so if I don't make it for the open swim, I can take the class.

Off to bed now.

Yikes, what weather you guys are having. Snow already? DH's helper for today was dressed way too hot and he had a hard time.

Just when I thought there was nothing to do - DH called. I had just begun to do some cooking and had to shut everything off and meet him to pick up some big supplies. Then I had to help unload a truck, wait while he fixed a wire off the garage door opener, take helper to his house, take DH to jobsite twice so he could get his trucks out of the last jobsite. I hate working way out there, it takes so long to get anything done.

Tonight he told me his side of the computer is all messed up. I came back here and rescued him again. He had his desktop looking so funky! I reset all that and fixed his browser pages (at least I think I did). I don't know how he gets his side so messed up. And I don't know when he got to thinking I am smart enough to fix all this. I just have more patience to keep trying and reading and googling and trying again.....

Off to bed.

Elizabeth I'm holding my breath for you that you get that job!

Kathryn, I cried when I left my last house too. Now I hate that we still have it.

Hi everyone! I have been to a morning knit/crochet group and delivered party invitations. I need to deliver some more to tomorrow's group. Also email some more. I went to friend's daughter's school to talk to them about my friend hiring one of the seniors to drive her daughter from school every day. I am only doing on Friday, when I am in the area anyway, but next week I have an interview. (Also a phone interview on Monday). The person who was originally doing every day, cancelled on Friday, so I took that over, but now they are cancelling for good. Did my volunteer shift at the cathouse. They will also lose me when I become employed again. Then, back to the school to pick up S.

On arriving home, it was catch up on emails, where I found the confirmation of Monday's interview time. Mostly junk though. After dinner (at home!), I organized pictures on the computer, generated some panoramas, and burned my dad's pictures to disk. After I type this, I will be labeling the disk and putting it in a mailer. Other things that still need to be done: cat care, me care, website work, sewing, email and post some party invitations.

Tomorrow is cat clinic and I have only TWO cats to take! Unfortunately, dFosterCat14's adoption may fall through. The adopter was having second thoughts, and now one of her cats is sick (two of them are 16).

I sent Ramblinrose a PM to see if we have any mutual Mobile connections.

Just a quick ci: before dh calls for the computer...
We decided not to go to the festival today. Everything was fine yesterday, all's well that ends well... but -- first, since dgs stayed in our room last night, we were the ones who lost out on sleep. (DGS kept calling out, "Nana, Nana," after I put him down in his pack-n-play. I whispered to dh, tell him I'm asleep. DH did, the next time he called out, and he was quiet for a few minutes... Then -- "Nana, Nana... No want Nana to sleep." I was exhausted... but I was ROFLOL, too.
ANYWAY -- after he finally settled down -- THEN this huge thunderstorm started up, my weather alert went off, and all THAT woke us up again.
So this morning, when the alarm went off, dh said, "I think we need to just sleep in. It's going to be muddy and messy, and we will be paying $80 (total for the both of us) to see basically 80 minutes of music, from people we saw yesterday." (There were LOTS more acts we would have liked to have seen and it would have been well worth the cost IF we had planned to stay all day -- but we knew we wanted to leave as soon as ds got through with his first two sets so we could get home and rest up for tomorrow. So I just sent ds a message and told him to make our apologies to some of our friends, and to bring our lawn chairs home.)

So we got home around 3:30, 4:00 pm this afternoon... and around 7:00 pm, dh informs me that the computer had died, and he really wanted me to go get a new one tonight. Said if I went Sunday, I'd have to take dgs.  I just couldn't handle it. I told him no, I was not physically capable of picking out a new computer this weekend, certainly not if he was not going along with me.
Well, when ds called to see how the high school game was going (we were listening on the radio) -- I described the computer issue to him. He said it sounded like the monitor.
Sure enough, I tried an old "antique" monitor and it worked fine. (Y'all know what I'm talking about -- the big, boxy white/gray monitor that looks like a spaceman's helmet? I think ours is 15")
* whew *
Went to Wmart and got the biggest one they had -- 20". I'm thinking the old one was 23 or 25, so this is quite a step down, but I called dh from Wmart and he said get it. And it was "only" $99, so compared to the HP that just died, it was quite a bargain. This one is a name I do not recognize -- AOC. Maybe it will last a while. The HP one was only bought in APRIL... 4 months ago... but I will have to send it back to HP to get any satisfaction from it, and I don't know where the box is anyway. Probably over at dmil's. I imagine they will only want to replace it, and now that I've got this one, I guess we'll just let it go. * sheesh * $170, I believe, for 4 months' use of a monitor?

DGS had a total meltdown, crying as if his heart would break when I left him w/ddil. That made me sad for her -- but 20 minutes later, she posted a pic on FB of him asleep watching tv with her. He does not handle exhaustion well (of course, no two year old does, and neither do most adults) but I need to tell ddil -- he acted the same way last night when I told him to give granddaddy the cheese curls so he could pay for them. Total screaming, crocodile tears, right there in the 7-11.
But I kept thinking last night, when he was calling out, "Nana! Nana!" -- It won't always be this way; all too soon the day will come when I will not be nearly as important to him as I am right now... so even though sometimes I think OH MY GOODNESS... NANA AGAIN? -- these days will pass waaay too quickly.

Sorry I haven't cuop -- just wanted y'all to know we had gotten home all in one piece and all on speaking terms. ;) College town tomorrow... maybe next week will resemble "normal," but I'm kinda afraid saying that just jinxed it, LOL!
