More ta-dahs done -finished straightening the living room and dining room. Pieces of mail collected 7 in a pile for dd to sort through. Not nearly as much as at times though. Just put some water jugs in the car (buy all our drinking/cooking water). Lots of thongs just needed to be put in straightened piles -especially dsonil's papers (& papers, etc). Hoping to run the vacuum a little and pick up the kitchen. what dishes there are will wait till after dinner.

No Ta-Dahs yet today except I am up and dressed and have been taking and relaying messages. I was confused about the menu lineup on my satellite so I googled that to find they are once again in a contract negotiation with Tu rner and have taken their shows off. I hope this doesn't result in a higher bill for customers.
Twins, so sorry house didn't sell. Maybe next sale will be smoother and easier. It seems to me in the beginning they could have asked the guy to prove he had the money, like a report from a bank. I remember having to do that one time for something.
(Norma) that was so sad.
Happy belated anniversary to the Lucylee's.
Elizabeth, does icing your thumbs help?
Did I miss LadyM's birthday? How is your dd doing? You haven't been around here much.
(Sadie) know it's hard to say goodbye.
Dee, glad you got there safely.
Kathryn, antibiotics are a good idea.
I did a bunch of cleaning Sat. & Sun. and house looks good except for the kitchen. Always a little more stiff after a good house cleaning though and I've been having trouble sleeping. Joint discomfort woke me up the other day very early and I've been struggling to get back on a better schedule ever since.
Sat. the string on the venetian blinds in our dining room (big double window) broke. Mon. DH and I went off for parts to fix and we got new brackets and cord...then we saw the problem. The cord goes up through the slats and through an eyelet...but the eyelet is some sort of neoprene and the cord wears through it and ends up rubbing on the metal which is sharp...and we checked other blinds and those holes are all worn too. So there was no self-fix and we found a place who would look at our blind. There are two blinds side by side on a single header, which makes them heavy and bulky. It took both of us to carry them out and into the blind shop. Crossing fingers they're able to fix.
Now we know we can no longer raise the blinds up and down. Any of them in the house, that is. We have 3 vertical blinds (these should be ok) but we have 7 other horizontal blinds. We have almost $2,000 in all these blinds. DH is rather paranoid about privacy, so if they can't fix the blind we'll have to change the dining room and living room at least and be very careful with the rest. The broken one is the one we raise to put the box fan in the window. Right now the window is sporting a yellow sheet...

They did ask for it but he kept putting them off and indicated he would be ready to close, so the only thing to do was to set the closing (once I had the court order) and see if he showed up with the $$. In addition, it was an excellent offer so wanted to follow through to conclusion.
Have finished up another rounds! Ta da!
-get rid of 10 pieces of paper
-look at bank loan application and complete, and email if I can
-make a hair appt (thinking that having my hair cut and colored would make me feel better about the way I look....)
-make DPC
-get the mail and proces

HAPPY B-DAY, LADYM!
HAPPY BELATED ANNIVERSARY, MR. + MRS. LUCYLEE! ♥ ♥
I'm sorry I missed your anniversary, Lucylee, but... I DID check the calendar here, the night before, vowed I WAS going to sign in to wish you my best thoughts on your special day, but ended up doing other things. It totally slipped my mind. I usually don't "forget" like this.
I hope your day was very special, too.
My Ta-Dahs are:
1- s2s, shampooed, got dressed, etc... (Need Aveeno & brows though!)
2- Put dirty laundry into the utility room laundry basket.
3- Loaded the DW, got the soap out, for DH to fill and start after his shower.
4- Journaled in 1 journal, had QT, but need to journal in my regular journal.
5- Had DH put Icy Hot on my left shoulder back, b/c it's so painful today.
(I did heavy lifting last night.)
6- Took meds for health issues, popping up, which are "annoyances".
7- Looked on-line, for tips for what to do when Fibromyalgia trigger points feel like knives poking me on the outsides of my hip-thigh area.
(Found good tips, like massage, heat/ice, AND stretching/yoga.
)
8- Watched most of The Price is Right with DH.
9- Ran a scan.
10- Took QVAR, brushed teeth, put on lipstick.
11- Hung up a Muumuu and nightgown.
We'll be having a rip-snorting wild storm this afternoon. I suggested to DH, after he showered, we run the DW, b/c we're getting low on silverware. Also, when the DW is done, I need to run a LOL/dark clothes and if there's time b/4 the storm hits, I'll wash light/pastels, too.
But if the storm hits, before the DW is done, I won't do LOL at all, will wait until tomorrow, but.... they say tomorrow, we're having another big storm!
I'll try my best to do LOL today, since tomorrow's a stormy day, too.
My nurse told me my left pinky finger's not broken, the tissue looks good, etc... So I squeeze a small stuffed soft bunny, to exercise the left hand and pinky finger. Dr. suggested this, as the pinky was losing mobility, was stiff and sore to move. Need "finger power" to post and write stories, now, don't I?
(((Sadie))), I know you'll miss your Dsom. Moves are tough on parents.
But we're ALL here for you!
Hang in there. It's a transition time for you and your Dfamily, but it gets better. Can you keep in touch via emails or phone or snail mail?
(((Twins'))) Hoping the house sells soon. It can be very frustrating. It's hard to be patient. Did that with our Dmil's home. So stressful. But perseverance does pay off and what a relief for you, there will be when it's final and finally over.
All my best to you, as you journey through this, too.
(((Norma))).... Thinking of You.
(((Elizabeth))), I hope your thumbs get better before working on the 27th!
Will be thinking of you.
Kathryn, Thinking of you and Ken, your DD and Dsil.
I hope your DD won't overdo it, too.
Booksaver, Dee, Nancy, and more, You're very productive today!
Will "TRY" to get some more ta-dah's done today, don't know how I'll manage, but decided to just baby-step 1 foot in front of the other today. Need to move my daily display card to "Ta-Dah Tuesday" for 1 thing!
And turn my cat desk calendar around to TUESDAY! Hello, Feline Friend! WHERE IS YOUR BRAIN TODAY????
Have a GR8 Ta-Dah Tuesday today, EVERYBODY! Waving to those I've missed on other pages and who arrive after me, too.

Ta-da's... hmmm... well, by the time dh gets off the computer, I am so far behind you girls I could never catch up -- but let's see...

S/S both toilets

Morning exercise (I think * hope * this IS becoming a habit. It's not much, but it kinda wakes me up and gives me a little stretching routine to get the day started.)

Made plans w/dh for our Atlanta trip this summer, made hotel reservations

Started on "project" requested by a couple of dfriends -- they need a list of "successful grads" from our high school, for a visual aid for a speaker next week

Made appt w/(new) dermatologist for two weeks from today (MUCH better than 2 months, I must say. Old dermatologist DID phone in a rx for skin, but nothing for scalp, and receptionist says they can do nothing about that until I come in on Dec. 22. Told her no thank you.)
Dmom AND pharmacist yesterday recommended Benadryl,
Elizabeth, and I must say I slept well.

I also got the Benadryl spray, which helps some. I will start forcing myself to drink more water,
Harriet -- thanks for the reminder.
Happy birthday, LadyM!!!

I've been hearing noises upstairs all day (puttering, etc.) Which is weird because aside from the occasional chair scrape, sliding patio door, or phone ringing (which is as clear as a bell), we never hear things from upstairs. I'm wondering if she has visitors.
My 12 - 1 and 1 - 2 ta-dahs kind of melded together. I pulled out the rolling cart and put down the collapsible piece of counter in order to get the filter for the radiator back in and to wash the floor. Something smells in the kitchen, sort of like spoiled OJ so I'm hoping that something fell on the floor. It was certainly dirty.
I've also put away the table cloth from Thanksgiving and the rack it was drying on.
Dh and I went to the basement and found the extra set of mini lights (third box I looked in.) So my ta-dah for this hour will be to put them on the plant. I also have the Halloween decorations up from the basement and will decide if I can use any of them.
Then I'm going to try and get the last 2 shelves of the broom closet organized so that we can take the box of stuff out of the bathroom.

Good Afternoon! It is very overcast here today. I saw that the weather ch. has someone on in Pgh Pa today. It's nice to see pictures of my hometown.
Happy Birthday, Lady M! Hope you are having a wonderful day!
I had been having issues trying to get online, some websites just wouldn't access. The other day there was a large computer update and also Adobe and Java updated; finally things have started working again. Did anyone else have problems?
It's good to see all the Ta-Dahs here today; everyone is so busy! I haven't been as busy as some, but I have been to grocery, have started a large pot of cabbage soup, tidied the living areas and M bedroom, started a basket of clothes for a lol and have cared for ddogs. Lunch is done, scrambled egg w/spoonful of shredded cheese and a few ritz crackers. I need to check on some desk work next.
Congratulations to Elizabeth's dd for making Honor Roll!
Thinking of Dove today -- ((Hugs)).
Also thinking of Sadie's ds. Best wishes!
BookSaver, I liked your sewing story about the scavenger hunt for eggs!
Twins', sorry the house sale did not happen! And hope your finger is healing!
Umm...I know there was something else ?? Don't like when my brain won't focus!
Well, waving Hellos to everyone!

Howdy, Everybody!
I did some Ta-Dah's again:
1- Started dark LOL + jeans to wash.
2- Did yoga/Pilates + stretches (I'm SO STIFF, out of shape, my bones are creaking, in time for HALLOWEEN!
3- Ate lunch.
4- Wrote a little in my journal.
5- Put my "Ta-Dah Tuesday" display card up + changed the kitties desk calendar over to Tuesday.
6- Ran an anti-virus scan.
7- Got a letter out to reply to.
8- Watched the noon news.
9- Got a nightshirt out to add to the whites/pastels pile of LOL to do next.
10- Did some calendar reminders.
Next up:
1- DH will get the mail, we'll sort it, I'll try to answer it.
2- I'll research more on Fibromyalgia.
Want to learn more about trigger points, exercise suggestions, stress mgmnt., etc..
(Stress makes pain worst.)
3- Try to do some holiday crochet today... but....
4- I also have pen pal letters to reply, too.... AND...
5- I've received a great book yesterday, which I've started and am absolutely DYING to read AND FINISH!
6- Perhaps take a rest.
7- Watch a series show from cable On Demand today.
The edge of the big storm's hitting now, which will be full-blown (no "pun" intended, since it's a wind storm, too,) comes this later afternoon into the evening. DH has gas in the generator, in case the power goes out. Predictions are that it could because of limbs stuck into power lines, with heavy leaves on them, and when the ground's saturated, in high winds, trees have a notion to tumble over, hence, power outages.
I hope the power doesn't go out, but if it does, DH has a nice warm fire in the insert for us today, going, and it's so beautiful to see the flames through the fireplace insert glass door.
At least we'll be warm. We have food, water, etc... on hand, with head lamps, flashlights, with fluorescent portable lamps, 3 battery-operated radios, and I guess that might sound like "overkill".
However, 1 is from about 15 or more years ago, it also plays cassette tapes. It's in the MBR. I have a little round one in my small office, to listen to classical music or jazz, while I work. I get going keying in a story, listening to music and can't STOP!
Then, there's one small 1 in the main office, which is not in use right now. DH has Windows XP on his computer tower, he wants to purchase a new computer tower, keep the monitor, keyboard, and we'll wait until funds are better. Just not right now. When his new tower's in there, he'll be at his computer, he'll play games and be on-line. Now, he's not. So if his Dfriends pass away, I will look up their obit and give DH the place and time and date of the memorials. Also, when I see something funny or cute, I pull it up for DH to see on my laptop. He doesn't like using a laptop, because he doesn't know anything about them and this is MY laptop, for work, he says.
Anyway, we're prepared for a power outage. We can run the microwave or stove top on the generator, too, and TV. And flush!
I guess tomorrow's storm will possibly be worst.
Hi, Sunny! Nice to "see" you again.
Elizabeth, Congratulations to your DD for making the Honor Roll, too!
Nancy, That's what friends are for... A little recognition and encouragement.
Kathryn, At first, I thought you were going to say the apartment upstairs was empty and it's haunted!
I'm planning to write mystery-suspense stories in the New Year, and my brain keeps putting mystery-suspense plots into it, which is funny!
It's funny because I've got confession stories and light romantic stories in there, TOO, along with poetry. So every time I see a car parked by itself, along the road, my imagination goes wild with these outlandish plots of crime, mystery, suspense and spooky things! (Halloween is coming.)
It's too funny- because I've never been like this before!
But I am NOW.
Maybe this is the normal way how writers jump from 1 genre to the next.
Stephen King got his start by writing for confession magazine.
So people DO write other things, on their journeys in life.
Happy Ta-Dah Tuesday afternoon, Everyone! Just checking in for a few minutes.
