Hello Dear Ladies,
We got sunshine, blue sky and puffy white clouds.
Trying to get back to routines again. Did so well last week but this week things aren't getting done as well. Looks I'm not getting them done so well.
Thinking of Kathryn this morning with the happenings in the news. Glad you and dfamily are alright.
Called Dson in NC. I kept putting it off as I don't want to be one of those mothers that calls constantly. He did text me early this morning. And I called about two hours later. He was shopping for groceries so could only talk a few minutes. New store doesn't know where things are. Did ask me for ingredients to one recipe. DH tried to talk to him yesterday but DH just broke down and couldn't talk so Dson said he loved his Dad but didn't want to upset him again so he'll wait to talk to him.
I do miss him but not as much as I thought, its one of those times when the anticipation was worse than the event. DH on the other hand, didn't prepare himself for his leaving, just ranted when Dson wanted to talk about it and now is going through some hard times. I encourage DH to stay busy, get some projects going to keep the mind occupied.
Want to do some of my shoulder/arm exercises-something else I need to get back at regularly.

Okay everyone, hold me accountable. I need to do something today.
The traffic is horrendous below me. There was one motor home (easy to pick out, the only one in the line up) that moved forward 20 car lengths in 20+ minutes.
And we know it is serious because tonight's NHL hockey game has been canceled. (Actually the Maple Leafs are in lockdown at a hotel so can't get out to the arena for practice skate.) When hockey is canceled in Canada, it must be serious.

LucyLee - I think it isa good sign for your DMom to tackle any declutter project. Picking one with easy decision would be my way of getting started. I hope this gets the ball rolling and warms up her decision muscles. What is the plan for removing the items that are not to keep? Does she have someone that will take them to GW, consignment shop, ebay?
(((Sadie))) glad DSon is doing well and putting all you taught him to good use. It isn't easy to let them go, even when it is time for them to fly.
12-1pm CI
** Served lunch
** WAtched episode of Blue blood with DH
** cleaned up kitchen
1 - 2pm CI -
** signed papers at real estate office. Dozens of papers. I didn't attempt to read what we signed. I trust the real estate person so hopefully she "has our back". Now we wait. The seller has until tomorrow COB to let us know if they accept our offer.
** received phone call from customer at MPB. They suspect the occupant driving an out of state vehicle was stringing one of our changers. DH went to check it out.
Nest up -
Go piddle in the garden to relax a bit before LO arrives home. My mind is spinning with thoughts of moving.

Opened all the mail in the apartment (I'm sure there's more downstairs in our mail box!) and have prepared two letters to be mailed.
I'm sorting through piles and filing away some papers.
The traffic situation has got way worse and now our street is completely backed up so we can't go out either (during rush hour there is a back route out of our neighbourhood to the apartment building so we don't have to take the parkways, in fact turns from our street onto the parkways is illegal during rush hour.) That changes our dinner plans from pizza to something on hand here. I've picked Impossible Bacon Pie made with Bisquick, with a salad. I have lots of eggs to get eaten up so this is a great choice.

Kewl! We can come play pool or play in the pool! Dh says it looks great, LM!
This ends my 15 min break. Back to work, I suspect dinner is my next task.

LOL on pool word twist.
I have 15 minutes until LO arrives home and the next part of my day starts. The rest of the day will be on the go so I'm doing advanced CI
3:45 - 5pm
** homework with LO
** prep supper (taco's) and serve it at 4:30. LO has Karate belt test starting at 5:30 so he needs a bit of time to let his food settle before he starts running. This is his first time going through belt testing so have no idea how intense it will be. They said it would take 2-3 hours and to bring running shoes, at least 2 bottles of water and a snack.
5 - 7pm
** karate class with LO. I'm taking the stack of papers we signed today to read through what we agreed to. Better late than never......
7 - 8pm
** Monitor LO doing his 4 PM cards.
** last swipe through the kitchen and laundry room of the day.
** fall asleep 7.2 seconds after my head hits the pillow.

Dinner in the oven. Found the city's twitter feed. I note that our bus has been rerouted to two blocks from here due to traffic.
Traffic is running normally now. The government has yet to lift all lock-down so there's still a lot of employees waiting to leave downtown. The police showed up and I'm guessing they are doing something at the other end of the bridge to keep traffic moving because there's nothing they could do at this end. The freeway through town is still at a standstill due to the standstill on the parkway outside my place. The traffic has backed up onto the highway from the exit ramp. People are just not thinking and should be going to nearby malls and libraries and simply wait this out. Traffic is much better now, it will be even better in a few hours.
I'm listening to the local talk radio now and they are reporting the the US media has identified the shooter. No official word in Canada so you guys have a leak from your government to your media.
Time for me to take the garbage out.
Lady M How does LO feel about the move? Your current home is the only home he's ever known. Is he excited (more room, pool, possibly closer to friends) or sad?

Hi everyone! I'm peeking in. I just got home from work and a stop by the library to pick up a reserved book on CD. Now, I'm enjoying some popcorn in a quiet house before I start dinner.
Life is still quite busy. The hours per day I have to do housework are quiet compressed. I am now teaching 1:30 - 3:30 MWF and 1:30 - 5:30 T and Th. Plus 3 hours of tutoring. Plus about 1 hour of prep time per class, maybe 1/2 hour for each tutoring session. That adds another 8 hours to my week. Transportation time is also significant as I try to leave about 40 minutes before class starts to give myself time to park and make copies and take care of last minute tasks. I usually get home about 30 minutes after class is over. I'm very happy to be doing this, though! I'm enjoying getting back in the classroom and I am now toying with some questions that have arisen in my mind re: how to best help these students. I have quite a range of abilities in each class.
Thursdays will be my busiest days for a while. I will be out of the house from 8:20 a.m. - 6 pm straight. I might have 30 minutes to stop by home in between moms group and work. Moms group: 8:20 - 12:15, including set up and clean up. Then, I'll probably bring a lunch and go straight to work. By the time I got home, I'd have to leave again in 15-20 minutes anyway to find parking and make the 1:30 class.
LadyM, I think the house looks beautiful! I love the wooden floors, the large rooms, the French doors, and the large yard.
I thought of you too, Kathryn. Glad that you're OK.
My day:
- up around 7:10; said good bye to dd16 and checked emails
- jogged with dh 7:40 - 8:40, including transportation time
- quick s2s and self care
- dfriend B was here a little after 9 a.m. She waited until I imbibed a cup of tea before taking our walk together.
- walked with dfriend B from 9:30 - 10:40
- worked on prep for class today
- took care of a couple more emails
- had lunch
- tried to print out my grading sheet; no luck
- changed clothes, did my face, crated ddogs
- left late around 1:00 for 1:30 class
- taught 1:30 - 3:30
- talked with my supervisor; got help printing out the grade sheets
- went to library
- home around 4:45
- had a snack and posted here; took care of one more email
Now, I should start dinner. . . . I forgot to get green onions, so maybe a trip to WF for green onions is next.
Dinner is: fettucine with bacon, fresh basil, and cream, salad, and rolls. Not a low-cal pasta dish. I did earn 4.5 WW points today. I've already eaten 11.5 points, though. . .
