Nancy, I almost took a photo to show the size, but you can imagine. Smaller than the eggs I will expect from her during her first year. I was also interested how round it was. They'll get very oval and large soon enough. I'm expecting her to lay early this a.m. since she missed yesterday (also expected). Her "sister", the other New Hampshire, is the one I may be feeding for no reason. Her comb is not developed and reddened, although the wattle (is that the right word?) is. I've heard they're just not going to lay if that comb doesn't redden. It's almost as if she has a different kind of comb - so I wonder if I really got the pullets I paid for. Hmmm... ...
