I've been working on big project I started a couple weeks ago. It is done as best as I know how.

My neighbor calls and wants me to come over and lounge in her hot tub with her. My back is saying "GO!" but I told her I was in the middle of stuff... only retired people have time for stuff like this in the middle of the day! Oh, ok you're busy, then she continue to talk my ear off for an hour.

Gotta run out and do errand for DH.
Twins, I'm glad your son is ok. Cold air makes asthma symptoms worse.

I am just now leaving to p/u meals and see dmom. The thing this evening starts at 5:30 but I'm sure we will be later. I s2s-ed, dried my hair, put on makeup and laid out my clothes for later.

I underestimated how much time and effort this temple loan form would take - got some more of the info sent off and enlisted temple secretary to call some other people for info.

Quick ci:
We have to get started going hither and thither... dh has to sign some papers w/dbil, I have to go by a local business and pay for some fruit (high school band fundraiser), and dh says we need to go to CVS.
I hope afterwards, he will want to ride around in the forest nearby -- said he wanted to, b/c the leaves are changing and it is so pretty out there this time of year -- and I want to b/c there are at least three houses out there that dgf bricked, and I do NOT want to go out hunting for them by myself.

Need to call dmom and tell her I ordered the fruit, but don't want to talk her/my ears off for the next hour... (((Harmony)))

Also need to type up minutes from last night's meeting.

So glad to hear Twins' ds is doing okay.

I made dh a haircut appt for next week but did not make myself one. Told the beautician I want to wait and see if the dermatologist can give me any relief before I ask anyone to deal with my itchy skin/head. * sigh *

Dove, I've heard that -- about honey! I really should give it a try. I wonder where I could get local honey around here. I'm sure someone has it.

Oh -- loved reading the old ads, BookSaver! Our local paper does a looking back thing, and the language from 100 years ago is just amazing. They always do 100, 50, and 20 years ago. It's one of my favorite parts of the paper. I always did it in the school paper, too. (Only I couldn't go back more than 20 years, LOL! That was far enough for teenage attention spans, anyway. Sometimes, though, if the local paper mentioned something about the school, I'd put that in my column too.)

Oh... MT reminded me I didn't take vitamins. OTOH, that might be the reason I have not yet started with a repeat of yesterday's stomach distress. I think I will wait till supper time for vitamins.

I've also been trying to eat an apple a day, for my fruit, since I am not very good about eating vegetables at all. I have a banana, and now an apple every day... but since beginning the apple... I've noticed more stomach distress, I think. And that may be why I'm feeling so listless and worn out this week -- I wonder if I'm getting dehydrated. I spent a LOT of time in the bathroom yesterday. Sorry if that's TMI.

Norma... why IS it that people want to act like such idiots when something GOOD happens? I have not seen anything on the news here, but just judging by your post. Yes... so glad Huddy finally gets his ring.

Well, dh is about ready to leave. TTYL!
Tomorrow is another day.

They are by Keen and are mid-rise (so come up over my ankles). I picked them for better grip on frozen ground and being ok in low amounts of snow. They'll be warmer too. My regular hiking shoes have great grip but they are like a regular athletic shoe so aren't good in snow and my ankles get cold if I'm outside in them for very long periods of time.

My walk was great. Slow on the way there but faster on the way home because I was by myself. A total of 3.3 miles according to gmaps pedometer but also 9000 steps because we were moving more slowly.

I'm ready for a nap now, though.

Nancy I think it was you who asked if you need a smart phone to use a fitbit. Nope. Just a computer with a free usb port. There is a little dongle that plugs into your computer and that updates the central website with information from your tracker. You can also use the bluetooth on some phones to connect with your tracker but I've never been able to get it to work for me (it won't work with a tabloid and the android support is iffy.)

Went to door company & picked up stuff. I guess DH is working this evening.

Spreadsheets for that big project printed out.

2 calls to county offices. 1 call to customer.

1 LOL folded.

Have you used your washer/dryer yet, LadyM?

Mine leaks, just the part where the bleach and fabric softener go into the drum. I finally figured out that's what's happening. It makes the front of the washer rust. DH sanded the rust and calked and repainted everything and it looked good for a while. I thought I was neglecting to close the door tight before I poured in the softener and bleach. No, it must be getting worse and I can tell now with the door latched it dribbles down the front under the door. Now I know I can put a cloth there and wipe it immediately. I didn't know what the problem was before. I guess I'll try sanding and calking and repainting myself. I don't think DH will do it a 2nd time.

I've been drinking too much coffee. Nerves I guess. Doesn't make it better, makes them worse. Sigh... and makes my tummy upset in the afternoons.

The house is heating up.

Errands completed... apparently dh and dbil managed to get along nicely -- I sat in the car and waited. Don't want dbil to think it's always 2 of us and 1 of him, you know. Of course, dh said they just signed the papers and nothing more was discussed. Oh how I wish this would all be over soon. And that goes about ten times for ds/ddil. * sigh *

Called dmom but no answer.

Ate a very rich, very large cookie. Chocolate oatmeal, anyone? Sooo good. Sooo much too much.

DH has not mentioned riding in the forest. I may go read a while. I'll probably fall asleep again.
Tomorrow is another day.

I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing ads popping up and words in blue underlined on the posts. For instance Sadie mentioning lunch - lunch is underlined and an add for coupons pops up. I am really disliking this and I don't know why it started just this morning. Any answers?

Norma , That's really "strange" about the pop-up ads here at the forum. I haven't experienced anything like that, here, today.

LucyLee , Take it from A COOKIE MONSTER- That cookie sounded SO YUMMY!

Just a quick C. I. here:
DH went to Costco, 1 other grocery store, then 1 store for fire-starters, and 1 drug store. He got me a navy and burgundy horizontal 1/2" striped sweater pullover turtleneck, which will look GR8 with Levis. He got a 4-pak of Aplets & Cotlets, for 3 holiday gifts and 1 for us, for the holidays. Now we're awaiting the mail to arrive, to sort through it.

I read while he was gone, walked 1 hour, did 1 LOL, puttered around, and will go do some more reading next. I might take a rest because it's 2:02 p.m. and I've gone 8,773 steps now. :o I'm getting tired.

LucyLee , Did you get to the part on "The Affair," when Allison went to the hospital, getting interviewed for a volunteer job OR a regular CNA job? The lady who had been interviewing her, got busy, with a kid, in pediatrics, with another hospital employee, when Allison went to the room, with the hospital worker's card, got into that room with medicines and bandages. At first, I thought she was stealing drugs, because maybe she had a drug habit, as she's smoked weed on the show, too. So, when she left in a rush, went to the beach, sat on a rock, I'd assumed she was going to inject drugs into her vein or "something" along that path, but she cleaned her inner thigh cut, which was bleeding, why was it bleeding? I DON'T KNOW! It's killing me to find OUT, "who" hurt her, but the BIL was acting way "too weird" around the author man she's been attracted to, like the BIL was trying to put the vibes out there that HE "owned her" or "she's taken, keep your mitts off" sort of body language. I don't know if the BIL hurt her that morning, exactly or what happened to her, to make her get a cut, because I never saw her fall down, get in a fight with her DH or anybody. I just cannot make heads or tails out of it all. :?: :?: :?: :?: I was wondering if YOU had any theories, IF you've seen that part yet. This story's getting more and more intriguing!
