Waving to y'all...

Its even cool here in AZ, but I'm loving it.

Been working around the house since 8 this morning....six hours later and this is my first sit-down break..phew

Redid my pantry, emptied shelves, reorganized and put clean shelve paper down, did my morning routines, two loads of laundry, ironed sheets, hung and rehung pictures plus dinner is cooking.

Don't want to sit too long cause I'm afraid I'll loose my mojo

Next desk and office stuff...that will take a while, plus I want to get my t'giving recipes out to make a master grocery list...except for my turkey will be doing my shopping Friday afternoon. Want to bless the house Sat and Sun and then do last minute stuff on Monday. Will start my baking Tue....I am making my Cheese cake so that will take my morning.

My son and his gf arrive Tue night. Their plane gets in around 10:15 pm. Lot less traffic that time of night...their plane leaves Sunday morning at 6:30am. We'll have to leave the house sometime around 4:00am but there won't be much traffic then.

Gotta go....Cy'all later.......... Waving big hellos to y'all. :D :D :D

Whew... I'm layered...
S2S and I'm wearing my thick boot socks and boots... heavy jeans... heavy sweater w/a t-shirt underneath.
I know the nursing home will be well-heated, and I'll probably get too hot once we're inside, but brrrr... I hate going outside to get there!
And then I see all the snow on the news, and I'm thinking Oh. My. Goodness. How DARE I complain about cold weather??? I honestly do not know how y'all survive in these places where they are talking about SIX FEET of snow (or more???)   I don't know what it would take to get me out of the house if we had those kinds of winters.

Load of laundry is hanging to dry and now all I need to do is a very small load of darks, and one sweatshirt that I wash alone. It has a large monogram on the front so I put it in a laundry bag, but I figure it would still get fleecy lint all over everything if I washed it with anything else.

I am starving! Hope dh and ds/ddil will make time to eat at local steak house after we leave the nursing home. I think ds said they would have time, before they went to their late movie. They are trying to catch the movie about the long winning streak football team (When the Game Stood Tall) at the dollar movie. (I think it's actually the $3 movie now, LOL.)
Tomorrow is another day.

Back from dinner. I went and met dh. Only had to walk as far as the food truck (about 1/3 mile) and then back to Tim Horton's for chili for me and we ate there. I brought a newspaper from the hotel and we wrapped up dh's food on the walk to try and keep it warm and it worked.

LOL, Twins about the New York Fries - yes, there's nothing healthy on that menu (just variations of Fries plus hotdogs) but I was trying to avoid having to go out of the hotel once more. But I was short steps so went out. I could still use another 1.2K steps and might go for a walk around the hotel while dh is on his conference call. One of the other meeting attendees is joining dh in our room for the call so they save bandwidth by being in the same room and only connecting with on computer not two.

It is a small hotel so it will be more like pacing unless I go down to the parking garage and walk around there. But that sounds cold and dark.

I finished reworking my weekly SHE cards and will start in on the zone cards now because I want to get it finished. Then I can cross another chore off the list.

.
this didn't post - much earlier today

Sounds comfortable, Sadie!

My stars it's cold. I mean cold. I went out to do the chicken chores and I suppose I did stay out for a while. I came back in and my hands were too cold to run under tepid water without pain. :( Yet it is mid-day and sunny. Somebody asked who ordered this weather. It was NOT me.

The light-bulb "heater" under the chicken waterer is on and working so their water will not freeze. That is one thing off my mind. Not at all surprising to be setting that up - just not in mid-November, with such urgency. The well houses are good.

Dsecondmil was upset thinking her hot water heater had blown. HRH assured her it would be a huge flowing mess if it did. But she just kept having little puddles on her kitchen floor to mop up, nothing more. HRH asked her if something was coming in and peeing on her floor when she wasn't looking. Eventually she saw that a gallon of distilled water had been slightly punctured and was softly spraying the wall with water, which puddled into the same spot each time. So she called him back and said she'd found what was peeing. Anyway, everyone's glad to hear she doesn't have hot-water-heater troubles in this weather.

I completed the revamped zone chores for the SHE system so will print that off when I get home.

Now to work on something else. I'm in the lobby now which is interesting. I have my coat on because it is cold. But the steady stream of overheard conversations is interesting. There's a large group of Chilean indigenous people here, speaking Spanish (someone came up to talk to them and I heard them say Chile and they are obviously indigenous.)

Two women, back to back, checked into the hotel with taxi driver horror stories. The first came from the Island Airport (less than 3 miles from here) and had a $35 taxi ride because the driver took her by the highway (which is about 3 miles to the east of here.) There's another Holiday Inn off the highway (actually, perhaps two) but she wasn't going to that one. She asked for the one on this street. The second lady went to check in and realized the driver still had her credit card. Luckily, this one had a receipt for the fare so will be able to hopefully get it resolved.

I'm going to have snack when I get back upstairs. I'm still hungry and there's an apple in the room. We'll have to buy more milk tomorrow. We've already drunk 2/3 of it so will have to buy another 4 liters. Dh claims he hasn't been drinking much but he must have had more than he thought.

We were to get a lot of snow tomorrow but now they are saying probably 2". Hopefully, the lake effect snow will keep Dee's son busy but not affect our drive home along the north shore. We'll check the forecast when we leave on Thursday and if it is going to be bad, we'll go home on the northern route and avoid the lake entirely.
