Moving on to porches.

Hi everyone! Quick check in from work. I am pounding my head on DAX queries, my calculated column isn't calculating (or even displaying at all). Last night, DD12 and I had Girls' Night Out, which was actually a night IN. She ate leftover Chinese and I had leftover turkey and dressing. After that, she worked on sewing a dragon's nest out of purple fleece. After I dropped her off at the X's, I bought buttons and ribbons to finish the baby dress for the baby stuff drive in February. I have so much baby yarn people have given me, I need to start another baby project. I also got my refi paperwork collected and sent. Today, I found out they also want a copy of the divorce decree. The X wants me to take DD next Saturday (not tomorrow), which I would love. However, one of our adoption clinic volunteers, who normally takes the morning shift is in the hospital, so I don't know. I will talk to the other vols tomorrow. I would like to take DD to the local amusement park for their Christmas special. We have our season passes for 2015 and this is included.

Tonight, dinner will be with some church friends. I have so much to do at home. The highest priority items are: refi paperwork collect, animal org minutes, plan/organize/budget/order Christmas stuff. Yes, I know I am way behind on that last. I really need to restart the maid service. I just don't have time to clean now that I spend two hours on my commute. Another commute side effect: sore thumbs from the extra crochet. Last time, I saw the doctor for this, she said if I came to her again, I should not bother with a regular appointment, but go ahead and schedule surgery. It would be done on two consecutive Fridays and I would be able to return to work Monday. HR gets suspicious if people have patterns to their absences (like regular Friday sick leave), but it would be easy enough to clear it beforehand. Not fun though.

Oh, poor HRH. I hope the tooth isn't too painful. I guess more dentist trips in the future?

Carmen took off her hat. She isn't cleaning here. She is making fruit salad out of her hat.

I got some gardening done, picked the too-big green beans (they are going to be tough) and got the green pepper plants dragging low up into cages.

Throw rugs are dry. Sheets ready to put on. Bathroom completely cleaned out, like a brand new bathroom with nobody moved into it yet. Every. Inch. Cleaned. Then I started on the kitchen. Up on ladder taking everything down from on top of cabinets. Decluttering counters and shining them.

Then, DH came home and we began picture-taking around here. Got the bathroom and part of the kitchen, got a couple outside and one of an archway. Looked at them in the computer and picked which ones. Trip to W-M where friendly lady helped us get them and some others from our poster all on a CD. We made another one for us to keep here. I'm so glad that's done. Now I must look at them all and pick which ones we like best as I'm not sure how much room we will have on the page.

I got 2 prescriptions filled at different pharmacy, went through all the rigamarole with them about getting only 1/3 of the refills because of the change in ins. after 1 month. I counted everything and I was just short of having enough to use for 2014. So.....

Now I have to put the house back together again. Everything from counters is in piles elsewhere or pushed out of sight. Oh, off to call Carmen...

ToddlerN's mom texted with a message for the chikd she would go to nanas on mon. Bc the granny was not at home. After lunch melt down city sigh is a stubborn one at time.

Hello Everyone. It's a nice day with just a few clouds, warm at 77*.

I got a slow start this morning, but have done most of the weekly cleaning....vacuuming, dusting, bathrooms, bed sheets changed all done. I will have to mop kitchen floor tomorrow morning as dh was baking the last of our cookie dough -- mini Ladylocks. I usually mix up the filling and dh dips the ends in jimmies or colored sugar. Also tomorrow I will do laundry.

Oh Boy, ((MT))...I hope your p.t. today can help any soreness or discomfort you may have.
Kathryn...hope learning the Italian songs goes smoothly. I used to sing "O Christmas Tree" in German. Your decorations sound nice.

Hello to Blessed, Lilac, Harmony and all who are looking in. Elizabeth, could you get note from the dr. office to turn in to HR? Might make it easier to document for the time off.

Everyone with their holiday decor out is way ahead of me. I have a few things stored here in the house, but most of ours is in tubs out in the laundry on the high shelves. They are big enough to be a little heavy for me to handle on the ladder and dh is too shaky on a ladder nowadays, so ds#2 has to help. Dh does not want to put up our 6 ft. tree this year, so we'll probably use the 4 ft. tree.

I watched the new Orion rocket launch on tv this morning. Sometimes we can see it here from across the state and the vapor trails from the chaser jets, but there was a little too much mist in the air today.

Almost time to get some supper; I'll see if there's enough chili left. If not I'll find something in the freezer to heat up quick.

I ended up being a bit frustrated. I thought I had a good hold on the fall mice but I went under my sink and I had mice there but no where else in the the rooms... I think it's bc the food disposal tends to leak even though it's new and it's the only place for water. So under the sink is bleached and tonight mouse traps go up. Time for the cats to visit the crawl space again. Its 4 feet high and is 1/2 of the house and the other half is finished. But no signs on the shelves there... go figure.

cleaned a bit in dogs room as dh is starting to collect cleaning supplies again on the shelves and other places. He seems like he is neat but he never puts things in like places and really doesn't know what he has.

Decorations are all up except the tree ornaments.

I have two more boxes and the bag the tree goes in ready to go back to the storage locker.

That leaves two bins up here. The first is the tree ornaments. The second is much larger and contains the Christmas wrapping paper/gift bags, and the Christmas cards. It will have to stay up for the season although I have a corner in the spare room to put it into after the cards are done.

I have 3 boxes (the size that frozen food came in) still hanging around so I put them in gift bags under the tree! They are the centrepiece decorations and I don't know what I'll be doing so need to keep all pieces here. Once I decide (my broker often sends me a centrepiece or something that I turn into a centrepiece) then the remainder of the boxes can go downstairs.

Usually it takes me much longer to set up Christmas so I'm guessing between less to do (no railings to do), only one tree, and less distance between living room, dining room and foyer, the process now only takes 1 - 1.5 days (not including putting up the window lights.)

We've opted for pizza for dinner and I go for a walk after dinner to look at the lights since I haven't been out for a few days.

Every time I got up from my recliner, I decluttered. I've done my small office, our MBR, and MBathR. 1 large LOL-towels are drying. Sorted the mail with DH, read on a book, wrote a bit in my journal, but have failed to reply to 2 letters I have addressed, on a sofa pillow, next to my recliner. I seem to run out of time.

I found a religious book, which I'll give to a pen friend in March, for her b-day. It'll save my crocheting for her. I've given her a hat, 1 pair of potholders, and 1 hot pad in the past. I'm running out of unique and different ideas, to crochet up for her, and don't really have the time to do that, because of other projects on my list for 2015, in the crochet arena.

I tore off 3 sheets of large grid paper, off my tablet, from my college calligraphy days. The sheets are about 2-feet long and 1 foot tall. I'm going to make 3 posters, have my markers out, and when I'm done with them, I'll erase my messages to myself, about 2015 fun things to do, off my erasable board. I'll hang up the posters, narrow sides on top/bottom, so the messages/lists will be longer. I plan on taping up 3 of them, side by side. It eliminates writing on the board, erasing, and re-writing. Also, the "perfectionist" in me is showing! I chose my grid paper, because of the lines, so my penmanship will be more tidy! I haven't taken college calligraphy classes in 10.5 years, so I'm quite rusty. ONE of the items on my new lists, will BE calligraphy, too! I wanted the lists on the erasable board, to read whenever I go into the room, to keep me on track.

The nicest thing happened! I was decluttering in my office, I found a free-to-me-for-subscribing to a writer's magazine booklet called, "101 Writing Jobs You Can Do!". It fit into a large greeting card envelope, so I weighed it, addressed it to a Dpen friend, to give to her adult DD, who wants to start freelancing. She's only sent in 1 story, never heard a reply, she seems discouraged, but I tell the Dmom, how she has to repeat it, again and again, and although I'm successful, I still have many items I've not heard back on, too. I believe this booklet will give her more creative ideas, where to aim her writing, into all sorts of other areas, rather than just by focusing on 1 story for 1 magazine. I used to write on a volunteer basis, was the editor to 2 church newsletters, and also contributed to the G. S. regional magazine. So, she'll be able to get her foot in the door, in other areas, too, if she so desires. If I had NOT decluttered in my office today~ I'd never had found this booklet to bless her with!

It rains here, on and off, the rain will get heavier this afternoon, too, it's 2:50 p.m., so we'll be wet. DH mailed the writing booklet with the mail carrier's gift, so he can find it tomorrow, when he delivers the mail, in our locked mailbox, when he reaches in to put in new mail.

I'm just shy of 2,000K steps, but I wear my pedometer until, roughly, 11:30 p.m. I hope to get in 10,000K steps; last night I did over 11,000K+ steps.

Did anyone watch NBC's live "Peter Pan," last night from 8 - 11 p.m.? DH and I enjoyed it so much!

I am on my own computer. Yeah! The young man called and I wasted no time picking it up.

Poor HRH! I hope he is feeling better.

Dh tried to get the motor to the electric windows out of the work car. It seems impossible. We had agreed that the next time it needed work, we would take it to the salvage yard. This makes me so sad. It is a 1991 Chevrolet Lumina and royal blue. We bought it new right after dh's dm was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. On our first visit to her, our Buick Riviera started acting funny. Dh decided we didn't have time to deal with it so after we came home, we decided what we wanted and the dealership found one for us. The next visit we had the new car. When she went to the hospital for the final time, we took her in that car. She was going for a minor procedure and kept having setbacks. She had 3 different procedures in 6 days. During the last one, she had a blood clot go through her lung/lungs. She was accidentally kept alive due to the proper DNR papers not being in place, like we thought. She lived long enough for all of her loved ones to be able to travel to be with her. Anyway I am just having a hard time letting that car go. It feels like I am taking a pet to be put down. I got the title out but dh didn't rush to take it to the salvage yard. I drove that car for 10 years and it has been his work car ever since. It has just under 120,000 miles on it. The motor is still good. The transmission is on it's way down. The windshield has numerous cracks. After sitting outside at the plant for almost 14 years, the paint has been sandblasted and resembles a granite roaster. It gets around great in icy and snowy weather.

Dm spends so much time on her ipad that she will have something to do, when I am busy with something else, while she is here.

Tonight is the Nascar dinner honoring this years champion and the runners up. We only watch it when we really like the winner. This year it is Kevin Harvick and we do like him.

Yes, Feline Friend, I watched Peter Pan and enjoyed it.

Guess I better get off of here and accomplish something..............

I raked another yard. I can feel what I have been doing in my back so it is doing some good yea. The spinning is goid for something else!
