I love Sinter Klaas! We do ours a bit earlier on December 6 as my grandmother did in france with Pere Noel - it's so nice your d kids are home to enjoy the tradition d helia!
I would love to know what you put in your trifle
hi everyone.
dd older was here and struggles with how I work - even though it is getting done. It gives her anxiety - she is trying to be kind - giving hints that make sense to her but with me doing the work - it's best to let go of any suggestions that do not work for me. Being born organized and being an organizer for a profession must be hard

- Thank Goodness she doesn't work with the constantly cluttered personalities, such as her d mom, as it would kill her - She tries so so hard to be complimentary and wanting me to focus as she does - ah to be young and organized
dd younger's bedroom is done and it looks spiffy - just in time for company.
Hallway vacuumed and wood floors washed, swiffer dusted the chair rail... yes the hallway could use some paint but it will not happen until after Christmas
dh washed dishes yay!
I am really proud of the decluttering dd older and I did for the garage sale and all the decluttering I did afterwards - I can have my closets open and not be embarrassed
now for put away in hall of things I have brought down.
now laundry washing.

Have been on the run. I got the crafty samples done and packed everything up. Had to go to MIchaels for white glue and glue sticks, then grocery for horseradish (the secret latke ingredient) for dh. Dropped horseradish at home and went to pick up balloons and then to temple. Room looks lovely with decorations, crafty table is pretty (hoping to recruit help there, dd will help some but wants to visit also.) Back home, dh got a late start on his latke cooking and I s2s-ed and laid out clothes for the evening. I paid a couple of bills for dsis - tax bill for her house and electric bill for house.
I probably should be back at temple in an hour and 15 minutes.

Had a morning Dr. appt., they said they were running 30-minutes later than normal, so we had a wait. Since the wait happened unexpectedly, we did not get my driver's license renewed nor deliver gifts. We've called our elderly dfriend, to deliver next week, and I will try to renew my license next week, too.
My Tinnitus can be caused by my "off" Thyroid, which is still "off". My Thyroid med has been adjusted again, I get re-tested in February 2015, to see if it's normal yet. My decrease on my anxiety med I did was a-okay in my Dr.'s book, I asked if I could cut o-u-t the noontime dose, because it sedates me, even at the lowest dose of 1/4-pill! He said it's fine to cut it out and in March, I'll be free of that med altogether, except as needed for anxiety. I'm using other methods of relaxation, etc... to deal with anxious feelings, which work fine.
I'm doing LOL, emptied the DW, printed up 2 maps, to go to Dson's and another map, returning from Dson's, as DH was confused how to get home, once he got there, with the numerous turns in unfamiliar-to-us city. I'm glad I did that, replied to an email, downloaded a free e-book, and will run and check on the LOL soon. I have 2 gifts to wrap, also. DD called last night, which was so nice, and I was able to walk 30-minutes on the cell phone with her.
The Dr. office was very festive, Christmas music played over the loudspeaker, and it was relaxing and enjoyable, during out wait.
Have a wonderful Friday, everybody!
I've been slowly doing conga-type things, over the span of the week, on and off, and only have the dusting of the living main area left to do now. Need to do the toilets again though. It'll be nice to catch up over the weekend, too. I'll bake cookies on Wednesday, I believe, for us to have on hand here.
TTFN!

I don't ever think I've been to a dr. that I didn't have to wait.
blessed, your house looks beautiful!
I got the last 3 gifts and the one I had no idea what to get. All done. I tried one place for cookie tins but they didn't have any. I'll try the big store when I go for ingredients. I have to make 2 pumpkin pies and DH is begging me to make him a mincemeat one, so I'll do a small one for him.
I'm just tickled. DD1 called for my min. lady lock cookie recipe. She's going to try to make them with her 4-yr-old daughter! NOW she'll get to experience all the time I put into these and other cookies all these years. I always thought noone really understood the time all these traditions take. It's nice to see some of the younger generation stepping up.
We hung a picture above the mantel. It's a snow scene, a jig saw puzzle DH and I put together and glued to cardboard. I suggested maybe I can do a tropical warm one for summer. He also looked at the mantel clock and somehow managed to reset it and get it started again. It hasn't worked for a couple years, but this time he followed directions and got the chimes synchronized with the time.
Dinner is cooking and I will wrap packages. DH found someone to work with him tomorrow. He's new to us, we have no idea how he'll work out, I'm just crossing fingers.

Went out to Subway for lunch and then a larger grocery shop than 3 items. Fortunately, this was planned, therefore I took the cart to the garage and drove to the store. Traffic around the Temple was rather heavy.
Still have most of the last minute list to get but everything else is out of the way but frozen OJ.
Will make the nuts and bolts this evening.
Refilled the humidifier. It had used 3/4 of its water over the 6 - 7 hours it has run. It is supposed to last days, since it holds Not sure we'll keep it. It is noisy. And slow to bring up the humidity. We got it up to 34% before leaving for the theatre last night. I turned it off, put on my dress pants and brushed my teeth. Went out to the hall to put on my coat and humidity had dropped to 31%. By the time we were back, it was at 25%. Sigh. We thought of running it all night but it seems too noisy and I was worried the hum would reverberate downstairs as well. So I turned it off instead of only closing the bedroom door. It is a low frequency that can be heard through the apartment, unlike voices or the TV which don't carry.
It is designed for 2300 square feet but so far, 18" from the unit, it has failed to raise the humidity to an acceptable level. The bedroom humidity hasn't budged at all.
Dh needed a new passport. I reminded him today and he filled in the form right there and then since he had an hour until the office closed (he was waiting until he got back from Sweden.) We had 35 minutes by the time we were in the car and he still had to get his photos done. I drove and dropped him at the door, then picked him up and dropped him at the office. He got in but it was a 30 minute wait so he came for me and I got through the door just as they were locking it.
Just 90 minutes after I reminded him, we were on our way home, the application having been accepted. He'll get it early in the new year.
He's cooking dinner now, then I'll do more baking. There's still a sermon to be written but I can't concentrate. To much negative energy in this apartment.

Emptied the DW, put away 1 LOL, 1 LOL is drying. Sorted/purged mail, read a letter, put 2 new Christmas cards into my holiday card wall holder.
Am re-writing the Conga list, from this week, for tonight/this weekend/early next week.
DH is sacked out to Christmas music, on the sofa, snoring away. These Dr. appt.'s wear him out.
Have a GR8 evening, Everybody!

And a good weekend, too.
