hello dear ladies,
COLD!!!! here.
Have to go to work and thinking I'll wear my thermals as the temp is just going down more this evening.
Family is fine, including Dson in NC. He called me today on his break to let me know he is doing ok.
Still plugging away at the house. I cleaned the laundry room and bathrooms today and then my one more thing was to clean out the fridge.
DH noticed the ceiling fans/lights are in need of dusting, I said he could do it or if not than you don't get to complain. Otherwise the maid will get it sometime.
found another author I like, it is Karen Kingsbury and she writes Christian Novels.
many authors are giving a free electronic book and that usually leads to becoming interested in their work and buying.
Got a little sore throat too. Think I will pick up some orange juice when I'm at WM.
My resolution for 2015 is to come here and post more often.
Happy New Year!!

Hi everyone! The New Year's party I was supposed to go to tonight is CANCELLED! (The entire host family is ill). My guest is looking up alternative plans. Looks like there is a two museum event that should be fun and not very expensive. Payroll has not been productive because of database deployment issues.

Happy New Year to all Villagers
The cicadas sing in another hot day. 32c atm. I am wearing a singlet style top with added beading and sequined bling.
It is a year of limitless possibilities.
The perfect place for me to start is where I am now.
Little doable tasks can make a world of difference, if I repeat the cycle of tasks and breaks often.
I have a master list of possibilities for my days.
My new year is started. Calendars are hung. Dates in January highlighted already.
I'm up and dressed, bed and breakfast is made, readings and prayers said, and some gentle yoga movements have happened.

We managed to get out and eat and then went to nearby Walgreens for airborne and zicam, and we're in for the night. Such a nice hotel though, and MAYBE we will feel better tomorrow. Dh is sleeping again; that's a good sign.
Dmom went to doctor, got a shot and rx's, and her very dneighbor went to drug store for her.
Maybe if 2014 goes out like a lion, it will proceed like a lamb?
Oh -- best part of the day -- talked to dgs on phone.
Happy birthday to your dgs, Harmony!

Happy New Year LynLee!!!
Sadie - I hear ya! I want to come here and post more often too.
What a busy week this has been! One thing after another without a break between.
** DGD3 came down with the flu and is one sick little gal. DD made the 8 hour drive to come get her.
** I have been fighting off the ???flu???. Fever, digestive upset and generally feeling yucky. Things have been too busy to stop and "be sick" however I can tell that I haven't been as effective as normal.
** A water leak at Birthday House resulted in a large amount of water in the garage. So many things got wet. The garage has been my temporary holding place as moving things. I unload them into the garage and then put them away as time allows. It is still unknown how many things will be ruined and how many will dry out okay.
** After 3 trips to the big city pulling a trailer to haul special order parts, the dreaded job of ripping out and replacing the plumbing at MPB is now in progress. There is four man plumbing crew working on it. Hopefully MPB will be able to be back in business by Saturday. I hope this redesigned high pressure plumbing system works okay or we are in BIG trouble. Holding breathe …..
** The house was 59 degrees when I woke up this morning. OH Great! Our heater quit working. The HVAC person arrived this afternoon to fix it. The HVAC guy has been servicing the Birthday House HVAC systems for years and has never seen it do this. He crawled under the house looking for possible problems without finding anything. After ruling out everything else, it appears the drain is froze. He installed heat tape on the drain outside but it is still not draining yet. We have another 48 hours or so of being below freezing. He showed me how to empty the heater drain line every time the system cycles on/off so it won't stop working. When DH arrived home he looked at the problem and thinks he can design a work-around to temporarily bypass the drain line so I don't have to manually empty it.
Moving effort is paused while we deal with other things. As soon as thing calm down we will return to "moving mode".

Hello, villagers ~
I doubt that I will make it to midnight. I got at most 5 hours of sleep last night and I've been on the move all day. I can finally take a break but I'm really fighting the temptation to fall asleep here in my office chair.
Today was a good day, though, filled with family activities again. Also an accumulation of several hours of driving. I love my car, but I'm very glad that I won't have to sit in it at all tomorrow either as driver or passenger.
Since no restaurants or stores will be open tomorrow (not even McD's!!), DH and I will be hibernating indoors all day. I haven't gotten around yet to watching the Muppets Season 2 DVD set that I borrowed from the library, so I think I will try to have a Muppet marathon while I play with the sewing machine.
I'm planning to cook bacon and pancakes for brunch. We haven't had that in forever. I have a new gadget for pancake batter that I want to test. Have you seen the Tovolo Pancake Pen thingy? I read good reviews of it on a camping forum and thought what the heck, DH loves pancakes. Hmm, what are the chances that he will think the gadget looks fun enough that he will do some of the cooking himself?
