blessed, those are good habits. I have trained myself to look around every time I get up to leave the family room, and take anything there back to where it belongs (usually the kitchen). That sure makes a difference.
Kathryn, I used to have a spelling book just like yours. It was a small purple one and I have no idea what happened to it but I sure miss it. I have 2 years' secretarial science from a community college and we all had to get one of the books. Boy, does that date me!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LYNLEE (what did you do to celebrate yesterday?).
Hugs for {Dee and LadyM} for family children concerns.
The Tough Get Going. Right. I went back to bed this morning and slept another couple hours, but I am up now, cleaned up and dressed, coughing and somewhat woozy, but determined to do something. I think I will work on the paper piles accumulating in the kitchen, make copies, file, etc. I've been to the mailbox this morning and it is cold out there. I don't know how much lower than 40° we got but my veggie garden still looks ok. The fog was thick here and this morning it looked like somebody wrapped the house in cotton! I know it isn't good for DH to be working out in this cold, especially out on the island where it is so breezy.
Off to see what I can accomplish here.

I've emptied the garbage, gathered the recycle, swept and mopped the kitchen floors and mopped the bathroom floors without sweeping first. Badly done housework still blesses my household, right?!
Had a good (as in tasty) lunch.
Dh is at his cardiologists appointment. He's hoping to get the OK to climb Kilimanjaro. His only concern was that he was going every 12 months and suddenly the doctor changed him to every 6 months. And we are getting closer to that 5 year mark. Years ago, the doctor told dh not to worry about his dodgy valve, it was good for a long-time, won't need replacing for another 5 years. Dh and I both though 5 years sounded like a short time, not a long time!
Aside from the above, I've done nothing since my last post. I need to remove the computer from the treadmill and get to work on updating Quicken.

I've done my rounds. DMacs to PT, found a coat w/o too much trouble altho it doesn't feel very flattering it fits. Trouble is, nothing is flattering right now. (I've been pleased because weight has come back down a bit, of course, I forget how much I need to loose.)
Got everything done except forgot to get dog meds. Rats! Can do later, however.
At the smaller mall, I stopped at a L enscrafters to see if I could get glasses adjusted - one side is higher than the other - but they were too busy and I didn't want to wait. I'd like to do that before we go on this trip. Maybe will have time tomorrow a.m.
Going to give myself to the BOTH to surf on line then need to get moving again.
-s2s
-kitchen clean up
-reboot laundry
-walk ddogs
-update "info for dogs" for dog sitter this time
Oh, and I need to get the Fitbit on. Forgot it this morning.

Hair - I think if there was ever an argument for taking a good whole-foods multi, it's our hair. There are so many vitamins and minerals that are thought to help with hair health that it may not make sense to purchase a lot of singles. All the Bs (Pantene has built an empire on bragging that it contains pantothenic acid, which is B5), carotene, C, zinc, selenium, magnesium. Mine also has royal jelly, which is supposed to help, although I doubt there could be much in it.
The two other supplements I take that are good for hair are Evening Primrose OIl and Alfalfa. Although I got started on both because they help balance hormones, I've learned they are ideal hair supplements, too, which really makes sense.
Anyway, shedding, at least, goes in a cycle - don't worry about more hair in the drain one time than another. I got caught up in that worry one time and suddenly the shedding stopped and I felt silly wasting time on it.

Badly done housework still blesses my household, right?!
Is that what P&P used to call "slip-shod" cleaning, Kathryn?
I'm at a point of not quite knowing what to do with myself this afternoon. Should be finalizing my reports, but I'm not. (Still have too many I'm waiting on). I've read and played games on here and have a headache. DD and I'll be going to Trivia in about 3 hours (but it's so cold out there....brrr, but not as cold as lots of you.) So, I'm trying to rest my eyes a bit but slept well and am not sleepy.
Dh is back from his Trustee's meeting and said all went well. DSonil was the 'maintenance' man but no longer has time. So dh had asked a young man we know if he was interested and he is and also only lives a real short drive from the church. He is handy so I'm sure he'll be good. Dh just had to run it past the trustees. Of the board, dh is the youngest and that's not saying much. They're all getting past being able to do some of the things that need taking care of. Of course dh keeps trying. Though he has said he doesn't know how much longer he'll keep working at the campground.
So glad gd has the guardians she does -they're not about to give up on her. They know that her coming back here is absolutely not an option. Even her counselor has said she'll try focusing more on getting her where she needs to be before June. This counselor specifically asked for GD to be put on her case load once GD came back to this county from the group facility in Manatee Co. She's so on the brink of following in her (bio) mother's footsteps.

(For those who don't know it, this gd was adopted by our dd & dsonil just before she was 2 -after being in 6 foster homes). She has baggage for sure. She did ask her "foster" mom for dd's phone number yesterday. Her "mom" told her she wouldn't give it to her -that it was unacceptable for her to call dd and complain (or I'm sure asking dd if she could come home -notta).

Hi all! I have done a fast CUOP and will follow with a fast check in. Last night, I did get my LOL done and found the paperwork needed for the mortgage. Unfortunately, the paperwork they said they needed (divorce decree, signed) was not what they really wanted (child support modification, signed), so I have to find even more paperwork tonight. At payroll, I have been planning my training video and preparing for a meeting. I am not sure if I am going to be the main presenter or my supervisor, so I am prepared just in case. Unfortunately, the meeting may cause me to be late for the train. Not the end of the world, the next one is 30 minutes later, and the buses are still convenient to get me to the station. However, I have DD12 now on Thursday evenings (to make up for time lost on Tuesday evenings when I got my new job), and that will put me late in picking her up. Not that she is in an unsafe place, she will be with the X at his house, she will just be disappointed.
I am not sure how to schedule Elizabeth's Own Auto Repair for the dashboard lights. I was planning on Sunday afternoon. However, the parent/youth meeting at church is at 3 pm not 5 pm as I had assumed. (Since no one said otherwise, I assumed it took place during the regular youth group time slot. Yesterday, I got an email from the director apologizing for not specifying the time.) I sent the X the schedule and the agenda, but I seriously doubt he will turn up. He hasn't set foot in a church since the divorce and the other woman is an atheist. What I may do is get up semi-early and start the car repair. That will mean I don't make Sunday service, and I hate to do that. But I doubt it would be sensible to drive to the youth group meeting with my dashboard in pieces!
I think I will have to re-open Elizabeth's Own Plumbing. I may have a dripping master bath faucet. Does it ever end?
Forty minutes until my meeting. Gotta plan that video.

Did that round, have talked to the new dog sitter and shown him around. Called about dsis' home insurance since lady never called or emailed me back from Tuesday.
Need to take a minute and decide on my Stampin up order before I go.
Harriet and LM, my doc suggested Biotin as a supplement for hair growth. Mine is thinning also - not as bad as some of my cousins but there's a strong family history of thinning post-menopausal hair in my cousins.
