Haven't started church stuff yet. Sigh....

Took the car out and got it washed and then put it back in the garage. I'm bound and determined to get my money's worth from this monthly plan! They really do a good job on it, they open all the doors and wipe down the inside of the frames.

Once I came home, dh and I walked to the grocery store for milk (we went through a gallon from Friday night until Sunday lunchtime!) He then went across the street and bought the glove combination he'll be using for the hike.

It was just below freezing when we left but the temp is dropping. The wind has suddenly picked up here and the windows are rattling. I still have to walk over to school tonight. That won't be bad but the temp will continue to fall while I'm there so the walk home will be hard. I'll be sure to dress up fully since the wind chill will be close to -25.

Dinner tonight is burgers. I'm starving now so had a very large snack.

Now to start in on the church stuff.

Just a quick CI -we have thunder storms. In fact I just called our chair for the church council to tell her we'd best not try doing Skype tonight. Storms are predicted all evening at least and I wouldn't want to chance being plugged in. I'm 'unplugged' right now. It is raining very hard right now. Chair person was glad I called.

I finished the reports this afternoon and just have to type out the table of contents. Then when I can compile them all, I'll send them up north. Only have a couple of very minor things to change on the treasurer's reports. WOW -a great ta-da for me, having things done so well and early. I feel so good not to have it hanging over my head and now I don't even have to "go" to a meeting tonight.

Finally finished with that round. Took care of more than 10 pieces of paper - once I get going it's hard to change gears.

I think I will work one more quick (hopefully) round before I go get Moses.

-30 more minutes on religious school work
-clear breakfast bar (must take the family photos from Friday back upstairs)
-make the bed
-walk dMacs - he didn't get a walk this morning because of rain
-pack up things to mail to dd tomorrow

The toilet tank is cleared off and cleaned. A few things have gone back on. Mouthwash, deodorizer and a piece of décor that Wayne happens to like. It is from a cherished aunt of his ex wife. I can have a few things from my time with Mike, so he can have a few things as well. Compromise. Just no pictures of him and his ex sitting outside grinning and holding hands. That picture is not hanging in my house.

I have cleaned the kitchen and dinner is started.

Work shirts haven't been found yet. It's too cold in that room.

I also tossed out all the garbage and recycling. Cleaned the kitty litter box as well.

I have been at home all day. I'm usually out doing something every day to try to learn this general area of Ontario. Taking different streets and seeing were various things are. Police station, fire station, works department, Laundromat and malls, malls, malls....

It's dd's and my pleasureful treat once in a while, Lady M. Just the mention makes me crave a cup. A good (lousy) day for it as a matter of fact. Perhaps I'll wait until dd gets home. She got picked to have a go at filling a bag of teacher things in a nearby town after school -plus one larger item. Think they have a 20-minute time limit. It'll be interesting to see what she comes home with. And we also received a big box today of things we'd ordered while there was 'cheap' shipping. Some things are for one or the other of us to take north, some are Christmas presents for this year. So we'll enjoy that tonight.

The data cube is up and running! I can be LOTS more productive at payroll!

Over lunch, I consolidated and organized my to do lists. I have a boatload of things to do, but it is all on one page at least.

blessedw2: Return address labels are in the kitchen drawer with stamps, envelopes, etc. Computer passwords are on a spread sheet on my computer. Column contents are: my email associated with the site, website name, website address as a hyperlink, user name, password, and notes. Periodically, I print the sheet out and put it in my filing box on the kitchen bookshelf. Photos are the bane of my existence. I don't take many, because I cannot stand unlabelled photos. Physical photos go into a box in the filing cabinet in the sewing room. If it's not labelled and dated, it does not go in until it is. Digital pix are uploaded to my computer and I have the file transfer set up so the dates and times are included in the filename. I put them in folders labelled either 'yyyymmdd event_or_names' or 'yymmdd event_or_names', I cannot remember which. Sometimes I add info to the filenames of the photos themselves. Sometimes within a folder there will be a file notes.txt with more info. I am way overdue for a backup though.

Harriet: Recessive genes can be hidden for many generations, so it would not be surprising that there is no known family history. This happened in my pastor's family, except that the gene was for HEMOPHILIA !

Hello, villagers ~
I had to rush out to a meeting first thing this morning, a committee meeting for the library group's Fancy Nancy tea party. Plans are coming together nicely for the event but there is still a lot to do. That kept me busy all morning.

Since lunch I've been doing more library volunteer work. I'm going to stop on that now to cook supper, and switch over to sewing for charity this evening. I'll get back to library stuff tomorrow morning.

I am so far behind on this sewing project, and it has a hard deadline of this Saturday so I must focus on sewing shirts and say no to everyone else but family emergencies. The girl who organized the school uniform project for children in Haiti wants to send the shipment at the end of the month but I will not have any time left for this project after Saturday.

And of course the 3Ds still and always need attention every day.
Once I get into the zone of sewing I know I'll feel less pressure. It's always the "but first"s that get to me.
As in, I will sew later tonight "but first" I have to cook supper.

No progress on my church stuff.

I did make the final two reservations for the trip and I registered and paid for our spots at a music workshop at the end of February.

Went to make the hamburg chowder and discovered I had no long-grain rice. That's suspicious but I've searched everywhere so I guess I used it up before we moved or tossed it here. The container for it has been repurposed so it must be the latter. I did cook the meat and onions and will finish up the chowder tomorrow after I've bought rice. Might walk home that way and buy it tonight so I can make it tomorrow (my store is open until 11 and I'm off school at 9:30.) I have a craving for it for my lunch tomorrow.

Dh is working on dinner for us and making up the burgers to be frozen.

thank you!!! I am back home and with a bit of headache. so watching the librarians with all the lights out. I want to get things done but I need to get my migraine under control. have a wonderful restful evening everyone

I picked up Moses and he's feeling yucky. Can't get him to eat any supper, but everything apparently went very well He did have some cheese and crackers with me, just doesn't care for dog food, lol.

Once I got back home I worked on religious school stuff until just now, when I sent an email to the problematic director about several issues. Need to wrap that up tomorrow, if she replies.
