Hello dear ladies

Another cold day here with chance of snow. Haven't had snow yet for this winter.

Had my cataract surgeries in 2010 and still doing fine. Wear sunglasses whenever I go out in the daytime even in winter or cloudy days. Had my surgeries done at an eye clinic. Several eye doctors use it, each having a different day.

Distance vision is great. Can read some things close up. Have my iPhone set to read without glasses. Use readers which are all through the house for magazines or recipes or books.

I am s2s, and made phone call to bank auto-teller line to confirm dh's ss deposit...
ate breakfast & did Bible reading...
talked to ds, dgs will be coming over tonight after "toddler time" at church...
but now I'm just feeling like a slug.

The Next Right Thing would be
-- 15 min in den
-- 15 min in master bedroom
-- 15 min walk away the pounds
-- s/s bathrooms
-- take care of church stuff
-- transfer pics to computer

And that's just off the top of my head. I have more stuff written down on cards/checklist. * sigh * I feel like a slug. I slept probably 9 hours and now I'd like to take a nap.
Probably eating too many carbs/etc for breakfast.
Probably need more water.

:?: Also -- I have a question. :?: This is a pinterest idea that a friend did for her aunt. The friend is very crafty; I am not. However, everyone does compliment my penmanship, so I think I could manage it.
The friend asked other friends/family members to describe her aunt in one word.
Then she simply wrote the words on smooth river rocks in different styles w/a Sharpie and drew some designs, etc.
She covered them w/Mod Podge, I think, to make them shiny, put them all in a basket, and -- volia --
a neat gift for her aunt!
I am thinking of doing this for dmom's 70th birthday... but is it going to put folks on the spot, to ask them to describe dmom in one word? ;)
Dbro saw the picture of dfriend's project, and he didn't like the Sharpie on rock presentation for some reason... but I think he thought the idea was sorta neat. DH says it's fine if it's a project I want to take on. I keep forgetting to ask ds/ddil what they think.

And speaking of projects... I still have the photo album of houses dgdad bricked as a project for dmom's bday...

I need a project journal too, it seems. Could someone consolidate those instructions somewhere or just copy and paste them here. I think I missed the "instructions."
Tomorrow is another day.

No response from potential web hosting company. Not a good sign. In the meantime I've managed to start the ftp download of church website files. SHHEEZ! I used to FTP files all the time and had the command lines memorized. No more. I decided to do it using FTP gui software this time. Easy. The files are about 1/4 downloaded after two hours. Hum....at this rate, this process is going to take most of the evening. Thankfully I can leave it running while doing homework with LO, cooking dinner and taking LO to karate lessons. No hands on interaction should be needed.

Well, Lady M/RR, I finally bit the bullet and ordered my spin mop through A mazon Smile. Hopefully it's the right one. I keep looking at our bathroom and knowing it needs a real good cleaning and was putting it off until I had a new mop. Think it'll be here by next Wednesday. I was hoping for this week. Oh well at least it's ordered. Now on to look at Med Co and get some meds ordered. :? Always dread that, but must say the last year has been pretty good.

Dmom ordered those spin mops. (two for price of one deal on tv) I think she loves hers!

Progress...
Corrected 2013 council roster... printed... got a message that HP suspects I have a counterfeit ink cartridge??? :!: Got it from Wmart... Printed fine...
Now to do 2014 & 2015 rosters.
Tomorrow is another day.

I love the spin mopping system. Very easy and quick. I tossed the mop head into the washing machine for the first time and it came out even fluffier .

TA-DA -
** LO home from school (DH got him since i don't have a vehicle)
** LO snack made
** Spelling words reviewed and tested.
** homework in progress (we paused so he could have a bathroom break). THANKFULLY LO reading has improved to the point that he can read fairly fast. Those nights of spending 1-2 hours the assignment is no more. Now he finishes his reading assignment in about 15 minutes. He brought his report card home this week and had an "A" in reading. He is still struggling in Math though.....

I have a headache that isn't responding to OTC meds. I'm not making the planned menu. Instead I'm going with easy to prep dinner....toss fish sticks & tator tots into the oven. DONE. It is low on the health scale but high on the easy to prepare scale.

71 files waiting in the queue to be FTP'd. Making slow progress....

Well...I'm just sitting here waiting for my floors to dry. Finished my floors and everything is done. Next on the list is to gather stuff for dinner. Most of it is done except prepping and cooking the roast.

My house is clean and smells it...love my spin mop too :D

(((LadyM))) Hope you feel better soon!

Progress...
[ ] 15 min in den
[ ] 15 min in master bedroom
[ ] 15 min walk away the pounds
[ ] s/s bathrooms
[x] typed/corrected/printed church stuff on computer
[x] typed/corrected/printed estate stuff on computer
(kinda want to give dbil a copy so he can see and keep for future reference how far ahead of us he is! DH probably would prefer that I just let it lie. DH does NOT CARE... does NOT CARE AT ALL... but... dh says he does NOT want to have to buy out dbil's interest in that condo some day, considering how much dbil "owes" him at this point, not to mention that dbil will be receiving income from rental property at about 3 times what we'll get from the one rental house we kept. I also hope & pray dbil will consider all this when he is paying himself for the legal services he has provided. * sheesh * )
[ ] transfer pics to computer

I may have trouble getting the rest of these things done while dgs is here, but I feel a LOT better just getting the computer documents done. Every little bit helps.
Tomorrow is another day.

Has been a relatively productive day except I haven't touched the Excel file for dsis expense which I need to be working on.

The day has cleared up altho it's still mid-forties. I stopped at the grocery and bought ingredients to make "Taco" soup. High in sodium but otherwise not bad. It seemed like a soup day earlier when it was so dreary. Somehow my mood has improved along with the weather.

Going to get started on the soup - it's basically one where you brown the ground beef with onions, then drop in everything else. I don't know what dh's plans are for the evening.
