Lucylee: I love my fitbit. I'm pretty sure Twins loves hers too. I have the One BTW. There's a new one announced that includes heart rate and I'm tempted to get that one. As for accuracy - I've never had a more accurate one for steps. Don't believe the flights of stairs, though - that can be screwed up by atmospheric pressure (i.e. windy days.)

Oh, and I've had mine for almost 2 years now - got it April 2013 and it is still working flawlessly. No other pedometer I've owned lasted that long. I'm pretty amazed I haven't lost it yet!

I haven't got off my chair since my last post. Did do more planning for the trip. The travel agent wrote to ask if I wanted to minimize my shipboard credit (she sends a rebate) and I told her that I wanted everything on the shipboard credit because we expect to spend $2500 on tours over the three weeks. It sounds like a lot but these will be the only times I get to Mozambique and Madagascar, and more only chance for a safari, even a minor, half day one, since I don't intend to return to Africa.

I am excited about our time in Cape Town after the cruise. The Easter morning sunrise service watching the sun rise over Cape town has been confirmed. And I'm kind of excited about exploring Dubai airport in the middle of the night (we have an 8 hour layover from 1 - 9 a.m.)

Hello Everyone. Today was a simple, quiet day for me. I told dh I'm getting tired of living in the bedroom! I did not go with dh to take dgd13 to school yesterday. Dh said I was sleeping so soundly he didn't want to wake me, so he didn't. I slept until he was back home again. Today I felt like I had more energy, but tired quickly.

I did get the checkbook balanced, looked through my 3 x 5 cards and got my vitamins set for another week; all stuff I could do sitting down. I didn't nap till later this afternoon; that is a great improvement. I think I won't feel so woozy walking about if my ears and sinus clears up.....anyway this is getting old! I wonder if Dee felt like this with her bout a couple of years ago??

It was cloudy here all day. We had rain late yesterday evening and some thunderstorms overnight, but it was done by this morning. I'm sure other areas had worse than us.

I did cuop today, but can't reply as I don't remember much of what I read. I do wish RRose to get better quickly. Sore throats are the pits! Hope you get your meds soon.

Harmony, too, get well wishes. Is it the rx making you weak? I wish you felt better.

Dh has been good about doing dishes, etc., but I can tell I'm not doing it! (Dishes are clean, but not everything is neat and put away!)

Oh, and I'm glad Blessed had good news about her duncle!

Time for another glass of water and aspirin!

Finding my way back to PWYC after being slightly blinded by staring too long at Cathy's hand in MO. :D

Sunny, I think it is terrific that you are able to rest this much. You are healing and the time is passing, so that the worst will be over while you are quiet and calm. All best wishes to you and kudos to Mr. Sunny for his care and work.

Ramblin' how are you feeling?

Harmony, as I understood my dr, I was to go ahead and take probiotic capsules while on the antibiotic and continue afterward. But he said I wouldn't need as much later, and after a few weeks allowed me to reduce from the dose on the container (2 a day for his choice of PB-8 brand non-refrigerated) to 1 a day and eventually to one every few days, which is where I have stayed.

I have my books to give out tomorrow for the Bible study. Got a call from the lady arranging things and she has moved my teaching date up since the co-teacher is now unsure of whether she wants to teach this year. Hmmm... ... A different co-teacher may be taking the second lesson and then every-other time. But it actually suits me since I would rather introduce the series than begin at a second lesson when someone else has already set the tone.

Sunny, I remember feeling like I had a bad case of flu to begin with, then of course the shingles rash to deal with. I only know I was very sick (and I had had a shingles vaccine a few years earlier). I did take some medication but I can't remember what the prescription was. The Dr. had prescribed a very strong pain killer but I was too afraid to get it filled. Maybe oxycotone? Do know it had me down for quite a while. They tell me I had a 'milder' case because I'd had the vaccine. Really? Coulda fooled me! At any rate glad to see you're improving.

I have a virus so no meds for me. My throat feels like there is a wad stuck in it. My head hurts and so does my chest. No fever just miserable and like Harmony and Sunny I am tired of sitting in bed or on the couch. I have zero energy and its tiresome just walking to the bathroom.

I am existing on crackers. minute muffins and Ice pops. I really don't feel like eating at all. I've had plenty off coffee and multipe types of hot teas over the course of the days. My dishes are in the dishwasher being sterilized... Don't want to give this crud to Sweetie. Nothing OTC seems to make any difference so I'm not taking anything except a pain pill in the middle of the night. Yuck yuck yuck...

Dee, if you spin you mop so it's not dripping you can just carry your mop from room to room without dragging the bucket around. That's what I do. I've used it enough to know where to place the bucket... For instance I leave my bucket in the hallway and carry my mop through my MBedroom into my master bathroom. Much easier that was and I don't have to worry abt sloshing water on my carpet.

I'm done for the night. Sweetie wants to watch a movie so it's off to the couch I go. Maybe I'll feel like taking a shower tomorrow... Haven't had one since Wed although I have washed off, but to be honest right now I could care less.

(((RR))) hope you get better soon. Actually I hope a whole bunch in this village get better real soon. I've done nothing but hack and blow my nose for hours. Hoping I'm much better by Monday as dh, dd and I are going to see db/dsisil. They live in Homasassa Springs so nearly 2 hours from here. Have home movies to take up that I've had since my Mom passed away over 25 years ago. DB thought he had them and he's been trying to figure out how I have them. Maybe I don't have the ones I think I have. He remembers one in particular and I thought it was in these. He's afraid he inadvertently threw it away. At any rate he's going to take these and get them transferred to dvd's. As far as I'm concerned he can then keep them as he certainly has a lot more storage room than I do in this bedroom. I have room up north but the temperature varies so badly in the storage unit. From 100's in the summer to zero in the winter -can't be good. Times like this I wish we still had a house.

Thanks for the tip, RR.

:D Hello, Villagers!

I never turned on the laptop until after 11:25 p.m.! :o :? Just got "busy" doing other things, got in 1 nap, about 11 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. or so. The fog started in sometime around 3:30 p.m., over the neighbor's pond and then over our drain field area, about 100 feet from the house. Guess it's a lower spot there, so it gets fog there sooner. :?:

We watched some mighty good boxing matches tonight. We watched good TCM, too. Saw "Patton," and "The Spirit of St. Louis," too.

I've been browsing through 350 recipes in my 1.5-quart slow cooker cookbook tonight. I used Post-It notes, for recipes to try. Wanted to do 1 for tomorrow, but we're having a pork roast and the recipe takes beans and chili, etc... I'll wait until mid-weed. Want to write a grocery list, for recipes to try, for my little crock pot.

I'm tired. It's 11:46 p.m. I did only 1 LOL, but have been doing other things, so am more tired today than I've been since the colonoscopy. It's like today I've felt a "let-down" and just feel more tired, relieved, but worn out. That night, not getting much sleep, being "interrupted" ALL the time- was exhausting! But my virus is gone, so that's good.

For those of you, who are ill, GET WELL SOON! :D
Take care!
