Blessedw2, I looked up CRPS on the internet to understand more fully what dd (and you) is dealing with. Quite the eye opener. Blessings on both of you as you seek and keep up with treatment.

Re: Wisdom Wednesday, we hope
It's sunny here now. DH is running the DW, so I'm taking a "needed break" from the LOL, to do other things- but to especially relax and take in the fact how this person's passed away.
I'm doing well on my steps today, am shooting for a higher number than the last previous 2 days, if I can.
DH is getting firewood inside, to the bin, from outdoors. He just returned from mailing off my contract. Tomorrow he'll attend a retirees luncheon for a few hours. He keeps coming home with news how 3 more co-workers, retired from the plant, have passed away, or somebody's having a life-threatening illness. He's quiet when he gets home, sometimes.

Making some progress. Put off one registration until I get back since I can register up until May 1 and may change my mind in April. Dh has decided not to join me on that trip so I'll be by myself, always stressful.
Did get our applications in to volunteer at the national church meeting in the summer. They were due March 2.
I also got my preaching license recertification info sent in.
Talked to dd about our summer vacation and will change a reservation there.
Talked with my minister friend while he drove home. Then he emailed twice, first to let me know he didn't see my email to call him if he wanted to talk until he got home so was struck with the coincidence that he called without knowing I was waiting for his call. Second email was to apologize for text-to-speech spelling my name with a C. I pointed out in the call he called me "Kathryn-with-a-K" so that was a second coincidence! Told him if he wants laughs, dh and I are heading to the Cannes International Advertising Festival Film at the independent cinema on Friday night and he's welcome to bring the boys and join us if he thinks they can handle the occasional nude shot.
Cooked a proper supper (the kind that needs prep of ingredients and making a sauce, then steps to cook it) and did the cleanup because dh has choir tonight.
I'm expecting the musician to call tonight. She booked the time, but it will be after the boys go to bed.

Our main entree for dinner tonight will be Shepherd's Pie re-heated.
It's very good and it's from Costco. They did an awesome job!
Kathryn , When you talk about the boys, are you referring to your DS and DH?
Just a quick C. I. here to CUOP. Have a nice evening and good dinner, Everyone!

I have the front of my loom apron stick lashed and some of the back tied on but I need an additional stick for it, I seem to have misplaced it.
ToddlerN has left.
5 more min. On the timer for dinner.

Feline Friend: in this case no, it is my music friend's children. But she never called. Sigh.. And earlier in the same post, I referred to my minister friend's boys. No wonder you are confused!
I have a splitting headache and advil didn't banish it this afternoon. Hopefully it will when I take more before bed. No idea why my head hurts so much but it has bothered me since this morning. Dh had one through the night last night but not sure if it has left him.
Dh just got home from choir so I'm heading off to bed now.

Re: Wisdom Wednesday, we hope
It's been a tough day, and I am off to bed right now, but I just wanted to check in.
I must have eaten something yesterday that didn't agree. Woke up with stomach pains that kept up practically all day, leaving me feeling weak. Every time I think it's better, it flairs up again.
I did get a LOL done and hung up and dinner done and a load of dishes washed and put away.
We have a fire going all day because it is cold outside and going to be colder tonight. I'm not happy about it, but I must take DH and helper to jobsite a long ride away, and it is an early start to the day, so I hope I will be feeling ok.
Blessed, I am so sorry to read what DD had to go through. I imagine that is hard for her to keep up her faith that all will be well someday. That dr. needs to get a clue.

Re: Wisdom Wednesday, we hope
NO ONE in my family has had one single iota of wisdom today. Not one bit from start to finish.
Dmom's experience at the hospital is well-documented in J&C.
After I got her home, I went to the drug store, bank, and Wmart for her, put away her groceries, straightened up the refrigerator and threw out several items, took out the garbage, washed a few dishes, and FINALLY got to come home and eat my own supper around 8:00 p.m.
Just when I got dmom home, AT 5:00 PM
-- dh calls.
DH: Well, you have missed all the excitement. (dh was obviously a bit out of breath and more animated than usual)
Me: WHAT? What has happened?
DH: Well, I almost burned down our house, dbil's house, and dneighbor's house. (He WAS exaggerating a bit, but it was pretty exciting, still.)
Turns out, he tried to burn a brush pile and it got away from him in a HURRY. So, pasture behind and between our house and dbil's house is burned clean. Dmom, dbil, and I all told him lots of people do this every year to produce fresher, greener crops. LOL... that was not what dh set out to do, but that was the result. He actually had to call the fire department, so it was a pretty big event around here -- and we all missed it, except for dh!
DS, DDIL, and DGS were enjoying the Spongebob Movie at the time -- dgs's FIRST movie!
Then they visited dmom at the hospital, just as she was FINALLY getting released.
And for the third strike of the day, ds just called and said while he was spraying bleach in the basement at dmil's, some dripped into an electrical outlet and the outlet began to smoke.
That really scared ds, and he called his contractor friend, who came over and looked at. They pulled the main switch to the basement power, and friend said to let it dry out overnight and they'd check it out tomorrow, but he really didn't think there would be any problem. * whew *
What a day.
I am certainly glad I came home to sleep last night, though. I do not think I could have handled all this without tears had I been as sleep-deprived as dmom.

Re: Wisdom Wednesday, we hope
(((Kathryn))) , I hope that lagging-on headache of yours goes away so you can sleep good tonight!
Thanks for clarifying on "the boys", too.
(((Harmony))) , I'm sorry to hear about your digestion and all today.
I hope it'll warm up for you, too, so you won't need a fire. On the Internet or HGTV's show, or in a book,
I heard or read that in Florida they focus on having larger porches and patios, because the weather's warmer and people entertain outdoors a lot more, like BBQ, etc... They said they don't focus on building such larger indoor rooms. Is that true for you and your neighborhood and/or relations down there?
LucyLee ,
WOW! Once, my Ddad was in our small town, at the grocery store, and the firetruck rushed by with the siren going. Ddad said to the clerk, "I wonder who's place is on fire?" and when we got home, the fire was at OUR PLACE!
Ddad had left his fire burning in the burning barrel, on a hot prairie day, and went to the grocery store without thinking! Being as the prairie was flat, and the neighbors behind us could see our field, which was between their back yard and ours, they called in the alarm!
Ddad was so surprised when we got home and very embarrassed, too.
Poor Ddad. He was a quieter-type man and tried to not make mistakes, but he did that ONE day.
I'm glad the fire got put out and didn't spread to the other homes!
Somebody was looking out for them/you all!
I've never heard of bleach in an outlet before.
But I suppose just about anything can happen, right?
I'm glad they called an expert, too!
What a day you've had! Yes, it's so true! At least you were NOT sleep deprived!
I got a bit frustrated this evening. I was trying to find the correct link or area, via a site map, to leave seller feedback, which is all very good, regarding a book I received, and it's a used book. The service was excellent and this copy is in wonderful condition; like new! I think it's important to leave good feedback. This afternoon, I couldn't find where to "go" to leave it, messed around there, at the site awhile, ending up with an avatar and a user name. But since I'm on only a private page, and currently, only *I* read my profile, it's sort of a waste of time- today. Later, I finally found where I *CAN* leave seller feedback, but in red, they state how I can't do that tonight, etc...
I need to wait until tomorrow, I guess.
I thought it was an "eyesight" thing, but it's just that I didn't see the words you click onto, which takes you to the proper place. Now that I've found it, I'll go there in the morning, to leave feedback.
DH is watching TV, I can hear it from my small office nearby, and it hit me! This airing of 2 shows we always watch on Wednesday night, seems to glorify or present the women in the "victim" role, always getting tortured, kidnapped, stalked, murdered and the whole nine yards! I used to watch a soap opera, also on this channel, but stopped, because after 30 years of it, I woke up one day, realizing how they push the female victim role over and over again! They merely change her age and career or lack of a career and they change the sex of the perpetrator. It's kind of sad they need to do this over and over again.
I was so gassy today, I could've stood on our back patio, and flown off like a helium balloon!
What I did, which I won't ever do again, is rushed to get breakfast this morning. I ate a protein bar and drank a protein drink, at the same time. Took the lazy-lady way out. That was my downfall. I started out on the wrong foot, believe me. Then, a bran muffin and banana later, was gassier still.
I'm fine tonight, at last!
I received a book called: "BRAIDS: CREATIVE IDEAS - EASY STEP-BY-STEP HAIRSTYLES," in the mail today. I practiced, putting in 2 French braids, parting my hair down the middle, making them each go into 2 braids, then used a small ponytail holder, to secure them. It looked "okay". Next, I combed my hair out, and made it wet. I made a single French braid run from the top middle of my forehead, down the middle back, into a single braid tail. It was prettier, to me. The braid had splashed of silvery-white in it, with the brunette hair, revealing a good contrast. However, I realized by looking at it,
how it'll be even prettier, if I grow my hair out about 4" more. Like the hair length in Nancy's avatar photo.
So my goal is to grow out to that length. I'll still curl my hair on electric rollers, for days I wear it down though. I like that style the best of all, which shows more body and more hair, as opposed to the French braids.
I'll CUOP and then head to the shower for a shampoo.
Have a good night, Everyone! See you tomorrow!
