Got a cute video from DS-A this afternoon of dgs2 sliding down (a man-made hill in their yard -probably with one of ds's loaders). Then dgs15 sliding down the hill. Really enjoyed this one -meant a lot to us right now.

Been talking with our friends from IN about visiting them early in the fall. Think there'll be too much going on for us (and them) through the summer.

DD's in the 'art room' making a birthday card for the luncheon at church tomorrow. The 4 of us went to dinner at S onny's barbq tonight -yummy. I actually just had "red neck egg rolls" -it was rolls filled with pulled pork, cole slaw and pepper jack cheese. Had 'smoking ranch' for dip. It was really good. At least I thought it was. We had gift card bonuses that had to be used by tonight. Still have $20 on our regular gift cards so will go again.

Bought another sun pass for dsonil and it's on his car! At least it was only $5 but dd still has to register it. I felt so bad.

Night night everyone.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Walked from the restaurant to the store and did a bit of grocery shopping. About an additional inch of snow had fallen while we were at dinner so that walk was difficult.

I wanted something sweet for a 'dessert' and picked up Jello Oreo Cookie pudding (the kind made up.) While checking ingredients for artificial sweeteners I was so put off by the unhealthy ingredients I put it back and came home and made Rice Krispy Squares and a cup of tea. Washed up the dishes and tidied the kitchen while the RKSs cooled in the fridge.

The walking home from the store was a bit faster because the sidewalk plow had been by. In both the to and from walks the sidewalks had been cleared off more than the streets. Which is good (encourages people to stay on the sidewalks instead of in traffic) but strange to us since we are used to the village where the sidewalk (note the singular, there is only one!) is plowed days after a storm.

I'm now up to 12K steps. Was at 5K when I left for dinner. It isn't extremely cold (8*F) so the walk wasn't totally unpleasant although the wind was chilly enough at one point that I took off my hat to pull down my ear flaps and discovered they were already down!

Chili for & chocolate muffins for dinner so yummy, weather was perfect for it too. Chickens are getting some chili fries left over for tomorrow.

Dgd played with the girl up the street this afternoon they had fun.
I found gloves new with the tag still on for her to use while she is here.

The other granny called seemed better and said it went well at her house. Said we had checked on the boys and they were fine she was relieved.

Laundry is going. Chickens are tucked in for the night. When we handled the chicks it went well trying to tame them a bit.

The evening routine is underway. Exercise is done.

Dee, too bad about the Sunpass.

Not a great day. DH and oldest DGS went to men's breakfast at church which had a teaching lesson afterward. He said he really enjoyed it. After lunch they went to a place to practice his golf. I looked up a nature park nearby on the net and their website was very nice. We went there but it was warmer than I thought and I was hot; then we got into this area and thought we could walk out and discovered after we got very far into the walk there were fences and gates and a lake we couldn't get around. So we ended up walking and walking and walking. I felt really bad for DH who can't walk like that any more. He walked very slow.

Finally I went ahead with DGS and we got the car and went and picked them up; found them camped out on the ground under a tree. It was really a bad experience. I have been achy all day, and I thought it was just over-exertion from all the activity yesterday...but I think it is a touch of that flu. The long walk didn't help.

Finally after a shower I got dinner together and was pleased to see after the long walk the boys really ate well. We sat around the outside bonfire for a while and now watching a movie (just about over). I think if nobody had been here I probably would have spent the day in bed. When people say to give 110%, which is mostly impossible to do, I feel like I did just that today.

Lucylee, sure glad you got back safe and sound.

I'm falling asleep in my chair here. Good night!
