I wowed myself by resisting the call of fast food while I was out. I'm home again with groceries and gave Moses meds for pain. (He was whimpering in pain, poor guy.) Before I left I went out back for a few minutes and invited him out with me. I did some pooper-scooping, he got some fresh air and a chance to urinate.
While out, I dropped mail at post office, went to grocery and gassed up the car.
I made myself a wrap with some veggie cream cheese spread, lox, a little cheddar cheese, the end of the mix that dh made for omelettes on Sunday (onion, bell pepper and mushrooms) and roasted red peppers from a jar. Cleared several things out of the refrigerator and it was delicious!
I am going to head back out in a few for mammogram appointment and take dry cleaning with me. While out I need to go to temple to sign cks and might do a trip in other direction to Staples for the clear label tape for my Brother labelmaker.

Aw, hope Moses feels better.
I did some computer work earlier. I also did a big clean-up on my desk and I can actually see the top now.
DH brought 2 porcelain sinks (used) in and I scrubbed for hours to see if they would still be new-looking. One is better than the other. But both are in very nice shape. I have told him I wouldn't mind having them in my own bathrooms.
Now my hands are sore and dry. Off to medicate and moisturize them now. It's a quiet day around here today.

(((Moses))) My very best thoughts going for you, Twins, as you do this appointment that we all look so forward to.

I keep asking if there's an 'easier' way yet as it's so difficult for them to do a mammogram on me because of the difficulty moving my left arm. But they get it done -eventually and sometimes with several re-takes.

Always a tremendous sigh when it's done. Don't have to go until September this year.
Have the large bookcase pretty well cleaned off now and things
NEATLY stored away in our closet with only plastic bins on the floor -just in case. Though I hope we never have another flood like this last week's. It could have been much worse. Thankfully the tank float didn't stick when we left to go to the memorial service in Bradenton. Would have been well over 7 hours of running water at that point. As it was, dh has determined it was well over 3.
Just picked up a plastic blanket case from the floor (has a comforter in it) to store back in our closet -it was wet on the side from the floor.

Not badly so and I think the floor will finish drying quickly. Luckily we're able to have the windows open (Sorry northern friends).
I should look at the "re-store" Habitat store, Harmony, to see if they have a sink that would fit our bathroom (here). The sink is in bad need of replacement. Had been one of our plans for this year. Dh wants to go there before he goes north so maybe I'll look for one and we'll put it aside for next fall's project, if so. When we replace it I also want a single high faucet so I can wash my hair in there. (Almost impossible -and dangerous- for me to wash it in the shower).

Might have to take a nap now. Don't have many steps in yet today so should be on the treadmill but my eyes are strained from tiredness so I think a nap first.
My errands went very well, all are completed plus gassing up the car.

Hello Dear Ladies,
Another cold stormy day here. It's freezing rain and snowing. I've had about all the winter weather I care to have.
Wowing-hmmmmm, I guess just making it out in this weather to go to work will be enough for me. DH will drive me in his 4 wheel drive suburban, but you still got to watch for the other drivers, some drive like it is summer time.
Dson who works at WM also kept texting me news from there. Looks like the starting pay is going up but raises are going down.

Not so great for the longer term workers. At least our earning ceiling will be going up so maybe I'll keep getting raises until I retire. A little raise is better than no raise. So far that's my goal, work at WM long enough to get the life time discount card and retire.
Going to look around a bit and then head out.
Great day to all!

Had a rest.
Dh is heating the shepherd's pie now so we get to eat soon. Yay!!!!
The SHE village will probably be closed for a longish period of time this week. We are going through the learning curve now and will have to shut the boards to back them up at some point.
Here's what's happening....
We are moving the web host from my company's webserver back to GoDaddy.
But we are not changing the URL you type in, you'll still type http://www.SHEsOrganized.org, but the computer that will be hosting the data base will change.
So at some point we have to transfer the URL over to point to GoDaddy. Apparently this process will take a short period of time BUT the world's computers all have to receive word of the new address and that takes a much longer time. So in theory Lynlee could access the village and be looking at it on old server and Harriet's local ISP directs her to the new server. Dh says that it takes about 24 hours for the DNS tables to be updated around the world. So the boards will have to be down to you for a period of time, and, to update Harriet's analogy, this time we won't all be able to hold hands and cross the road together, some of us will get to the new location faster than others.
Now, when we did this for someone else, things were up in Australia quickly, and about 12 hours later for us. But we can't be sure of timing.
As we learn more of what's happening we'll update you.

Hmmm. I wonder if I am posting to an old or new location. Doesn't truly matter, if no one sees this post, it is not the end of the world!
I am so STUCK at payroll. For one task, I have to define 14 measures. 12 are done and working. The last 2 are mystifying me.
Doll of the week has gone over rather well. This week's can be seen at
http://genemarshall.wikia.com/wiki/Encore. She looks better in 'person' than in the photo.

Certainly skippable... but wow... what a day...
*
12
phone calls back/forth with dmom re: changing doctor's appt, getting rx's filled, misc items needed from Wmart
* 2 calls -- doctor, drug store
* 4 calls to ds/ddil re: items contractor friend and his wife want from dmil's house, prices, etc.
* doctor's office, pick up rx's
* drug store, get rx's filled
* Wmart -- misc items for dmom
* dmom's to deliver items above
NOW THE FUN BEGINS...
must go
[ ] BACK to doctor's office for additional rx not included earlier
[ ] BACK to drug store...
[ ] BACK to dmom's
* sheesh *
BUT... I am maintaining an attitude of gratitude. As I told the man in front of me at Wmart, who said that was his second trip there today, I am at least happy that I am not the one needing the doctor or the drug store, and I am healthy enough to do the running around. * sheesh *
Also took 15 pictures of houses dgdad bricked for the ongoing project I'm working on for dmom... and visited for a bit w/former band director's wife, who lives next door to one of the houses.
Got those pictures in the computer and labeled.

Wow, Lucylee, you sound like a ping pong ball! I'm glad you have such a good attitude about it all.
Home from rounds:
-Mammogram - apparently successful
-signed cks at temple
-dropped religious school cks at other synagogue
-picked up meals for dmom at JCC
-walked through a Home goods type store
-stopped at an Office Depot for the label tape
-home
Talked to vet a bit - Macs' bloodwork was back from earlier in the week, and I also told him Moses was really feeling rough. He suggested could increase pain meds a little more, but I decided to give him one pill every 4 hours instead of two every 8 hours. This will keep the meds up in his bloodstream and maybe give him a little more relief.
Temp was up to 70 degrees here today and we're having snow and freezing rain tomorrow - not much apparently, but could be enough to make getting around rough. I have a meeting tomorrow night so will see how that plays out - it may be postponed. I need to do some prep work for it tomorrow. (Just saw that some school systems are announcing delays already.)
I have ingredients to make soup but with the temp still almost 70 I think I'll pass on it tonight.
