CathyS I am sooooooooo happy that you finally have a man who appreciates what you do, instead of putting you down. Losing you was their (Don and Mike's) loss and Wayne's gain. Your happiness really shines through your posts. I have never made a pork roast with potatoes and carrots around it. I have used it for beef roasts. Dh prefers pork roasts, so I need to try that.
helia, that was nice that you and your dh could have a Sunday lunch out after church. By doing things like that now, it is preparing you for the empty nest when the time comes.
Several years before dd1 graduated HS, I would comment about when she left home, etc. A friend asked me why I did this. I told her I needed to start then so when the time came, maybe it wouldn't be so hard. It did seem to help plus dd1 never left town, so it was an easier adjustment when she moved out on her own. She lived on her own 15 months before she married. She is going to get out of her school nurse position at the end of this school year. She is going to PRN at the hospital in the OR department to regain her hospital skills. Then she is planning to be a travel nurse, with or without her dh. He is an OR nurse and he waffles on traveling or not, but has told her to go for it, even if he doesn't. His dm is in a nursing home and doing real well, but I know he would hate to leave her for 13 weeks at a time.
I will be glad when everyone that post regularly are back with us. Kathryn, I first tried SHEsOrganized.org and nothing. I finally reread the email and added the www. to it and I was here. Lucylee and FelineFriend are the 2 that I knew were missing. I always hope when we move that in the process of finding the new site, we will have lurkers join us in posting.

Kathryn, for me -at least- it seemed to be a matter of 'renewing' my browser. Think I had been using the www.shesorganized.org each time so that wasn't it on my lap top at any rate.

Packing is progressing. All the clothes but socks and stockings are packed. I'm recharging my mp3 player now and will start in on meds, makeup, jewelry and hair things. Then on to my computer bag. Still not ready to weigh the bags. Need to find my hat as well.

Yes, Helia, I am back on the west side of the state. Moved here 3 years ago, to my home town. My city boy husband has adapted to very small town living really well. He hates heading back to the east side now!
I have stuff thawing in the refrigerator for dinner tomorrow. Must remember to email Campbell's and tell them how awful their new organic garden vegetable soup is.

Re: Sunday Short day
We walked to/from dinner and it was lovely, daylight and warm.
I'm taking a break from the packing in order to check in on line and print the boarding passes.
They are taking forever to print for some reason.
Panic level is reaching high.

Deb, I agree. Very hopeful about spring here.
maxsgrandma, glad you are here with us, too.
cathyy, we'd love to hear about the dress construction in A, C and Needlework thread. (ooooh, a pain when any instructions are not carefully written - got to be tough when it's teeny-tiny pieces) Elizabeth also makes doll clothes.
Norma, I hope you and Mr. Guy find exactly what you are looking for.
I napped. Not unusual for a Sunday after nearly 4 hours social stuff. Less about tiredness.
Exercised with dd this evening. She said, "I have a newfound respect for you, mother." BUT this is partially because she had pulled a muscle in her back previously and is regaining range of movement. Being 16 is still the best advice for exercise.
