Poor dd and young man! Perhaps this will be the pain that will teach them that proper protection is required. One can still make mistakes (my top shifted once under my purse strap, exposing un-slathered skin) but the pain of a bad burn or two. plus my dad, uncle and grandmother having non-cancerous spots removed regularly, convinced me to protect myself a lot more than most people do.
Sermon is finished. Perhaps I'm delirious with exhaustion but it feels like a good one. My visitation at the hospital earlier this week was an education and that private moment's effect on me worked on my words tonight. This is a really 'Jesus' filled sermon (most of the time I lean more heavily towards God) so I might file it away as a potential sermon to use if I'm ever invited to preach at MF's staunchly conservative churches. They might overlook the fact that I'm a woman when they hear what I wrote. Surprised myself!
Off to bed now. I'm exhausted and we have a long day tomorrow - 4 services in total. I might skip the first one and just hang in the office working on the summary of my trip. I'm only half way done.
