DD made "impossible cheeseburg pie" but made with sausage. It was really good. Then she made lemon bars for dessert. I was unable to resist. I love lemon anything for the most part. Used to love my Mom's lemon pie and ginger bread with lemon sauce. Neither of which have I made. Should learn -am I too old?

FINALLY s2s... Again -- too late to do anything if we're talking about anywhere that closes at 5:00.

The walk ended up longer than intended. The good news is I was able to walk longer than intended.
First was to the self-serve frozen yoghurt place. That was a hit with me, you only pay for what you have. Mine was only 100g including the toppings so low in calories, although I'll never pick the mini peanut butter cups again - they aren't worth the calories!
Then we shopped at some of the more interesting shops, looking for balcony ideas. Lots of ideas but very expensive items and only a few were made in Canada and none locally. There were some beautiful metal crane statues but they were really expensive so I'll pass. Still, I was sorely tempted and if they were half price, I'd buy them.
Stopped by the grocery store on the way home. Picked up celery per Harriet's recommendation. Here celery is 50 cents a stock (not bunch, it was $2.50 a bunch and there are 5 stocks in the bunch.) My stars! Cukes were still only $1.
The wind has come up and changed direction which means there's a breeze in the bedroom now. So sleeping might be easier. It is still hot there, though.
We had fish for dinner and dh had chips (I had salad and 5 of his fries.) Ended the day with the right number of calories because of the walk. I've washed up everything but the deep fryer because it was still draining. Practiced the songs for tomorrow.
But it is 9:00 and I haven't got back to the bookkeeping yet. Am debating super early bed and an early start in the morning on it.

Third (and last) load of laundry in.
I don't know if you'd call it a Successful Saturday, but it is good to have the laundry done. We have an unbelievably busy week ahead, so maybe my body is just telling me to let it rest while it can. (I feel so guilty b/c all I want to do is sleep. EVEN THOUGH I'm taking the B-12! Apparently it is not a complete miracle drug???)
But... tomorrow will get here soon enough and this is what is ahead of me:
Sunday -- church at dmom's old church, lunch (which will take forever) w/dmom
* and * Sunday night -- maybe go to a movie w/dbro & his gf, maybe fit in weekly Wmart trip
Monday -- hopefully, dbro & his gf will come out and visit a little while w/ds at his new house while he's working
* and * Mon. night -- a college sports thing, "meet the coach" sort of supper, which ds, dh, and I are attending
Tuesday -- nursing home
Thursday -- outdoor, all-day festival
Friday -- outdoor, all-day festival
Saturday -- outdoor, all-day festival, and dgs will spend the night with us

I did have a successful day:
1. Wrote my sermon.
2. Finished all the end of year accounting except for one report (which is 1/2 done.)
3. Tried out the frozen yogurt self-serve shop in the neighbourhood.
4. Enjoyed fireworks for the second night in a row. A bit of research tells me I'll be enjoying them tomorrow night too and then twice next weekend.
Also did a load of laundry, cooked half of dinner and did most of the tidying up of the kitchen.
Off to bed now. The wind keeps changing direction so I don't know which windows to leave open. I think I'll move all the papers off the dining table. Before shutting the balcony door in this room, a gust tossed aside several files. Earlier today, dh found a grocery bag against the inside of the screen of the kitchen window. The negative pressure in the apartment would have blown the bag out of the window but for the screen! Even our wind chimes which seldom make sound, are swinging around tonight. Hope my plants last.
