Home again and trying to regain some momentum. I left here w/o finishing up the prior round because dh had dropped in after picking up at the cleaners, and dd was just up and they were both bickering. And dd was fussing at me about dh and I'm tired of listening to her.
I went to local bakery and got 2 doz plus a few more cookies in a box, and took cookies to vet's office to p/u dMacs in his urn. Was teary-eyed there saying goodbye to them. I've probably been by there almost weekly for a couple of years now to p/u meds. Then to temple to sign a check - I really could have waited until tomorrow but I visited with office mgr, rabbi and my successor as treasurer. Stopped off at a T uesday M orning to walk through and got a couple of small things.
Momentum? It's also raining now, and dh will be home around six (that's two hours) so we can all go to dfriend's for dinner. So I think I'm going to read for awhile, or maybe go upstairs to stamping area...

I had a nap.
Dh and I are going to walk up to the chicken restaurant for dinner. I haven't left the apartment yet today, and yesterday only made it as far as the garbage shoot (dh made it to the tuck shop to pick up chips for his dinner.) We are both ready to get out of here!
I'm going to do the ironing first, though, so I can change into capris. I'm in a sundress but need running shoes for the walk.

Good Afternoon! I was going to post last night after I had cuop, but couldn't keep my eyes open.
We had a nice weekend, mostly quiet. Ds#2-J, ddil and dgd13 came for supper on Sunday. She made a large casserole of peppers and sausage and brought that with rolls, chips and dips for our dinner. We made a large bowl of baked beans to go with it. We always have something for dessert for company, so I suggested we get a cake from bakery and have them decorate it for her graduation. The lady wrote on it, Congratulations Y----- and put a parchment scroll as her diploma. I'm so glad I thought of that because she was so pleased!
Yesterday we stayed home; dh watched war movies and I spent some time at my desk then did some sewing. In the evening we watched the special Memorial Day program on one of our pbs stations.
LadyM I like the schedule chart for LO and dgd3. I wish I could have used something like that for my three boys while they were growing up!
Kathryn, are you liking the book by Richard Rohr? I might go to the library and get it to read.
Harmony, I'm sorry things are still so hectic with dh and the business. I keep hoping things will settle down to a better pace for you!
(((Twins' Mom)))!
The storms and flooding in TX and OK are heartbreaking. I'm glad that LadyM and dfamily are all right. Also was glad to read that your dnephew's ordeal turned out well!
This past week I have been rushing through my routines to spend free time with my sewing machine.

Just posted in J&C -thank you all!
(((Twins Mom))) -sure do know how difficult that is. DDIL#1 just told us that their dlab (Chase) sent peacefully today. Still not sure if they had to decide or if she went in her sleep. She was such a sweet member of the family. Think she didn't want to tell us until we were through court.

Hello Dear Ladies,
Sorry I've been away for awhile, life just gets in the way sometimes.
We have a sunny day here, am so glad because we have had so much rain.
The guys helped me for several days to get the house in shape, they vacuumed and shampooed the carpets, swept the ceiling and walls for dust, did lots of scrubbing. I was so thankful for their help because ever since my shoulder problem started, things kept accumulating and I felt like I could never dig myself out of it. Now I just have to maintain with my dailies and weeklies like old times.
But the reason they cleaned house so well is because DsonN is engaged to be married. It is not the girl I asked for prayer about but is a different one. He broke up with first one and then got involved with an old friend of his. She has two young children, one has a learning problem. We're concerned how fast they are moving in their relationship but I guess that's the way it is sometimes. I've known this girl for awhile too and like her so hoping it goes well. They have set a date in mid-October for the wedding. Her family is very friendly and complimented me on raising such a fine man.
I do miss my son already, he works with his Dad still, but spends every spare minutes with his fiance and the kids. And as I look around the meal time table and see it shrinking, I feel bad. But yesterday I had them all over, except Dson in NC and I could see my family isn't shrinking, it's expanding, branching out. And Dson in NC won't be able to get out here to the wedding as he is too new to job.
So for now I'm looking through websites for dress ideas for me. She's using fall colors. It's going to be a formal affair. I haven't been dress shopping in years.
Off to work on the laundry and do some dusting and de-cluttering.
Great day to all!!

How exciting, Sadie! Congratulations to ds and his fiancé! I understand about the shrinking table -- but you're so right -- it's NOT shrinking, it's expanding. Five years ago this week, I was so terrified of losing ds... And by Thanksgiving we will have a new baby at the table, along with ddil and dgs -- so we didn't lose one, we added three!

Thank you Harriet and Lucy Lee!
Lucy Lee, congratulations on the news of another grandchild.
We had our 28th anniversary in April and DH asked me what I wanted in my life, I said grandchildren! In the future, I want to see a picture of me with 25 family descendents around me. Well looks like God sent me two. Dfiance grandmother asked what I would like to be called and knowing there are already various grandmother title being used by the other grandmas, I picked MeMaw and said DH will be PawPaw, it is used in the South for grandparents.

Congratulations to your dson and future ddil, Sadie. I know about the empty table also, however in our case they all came back.....(not all three at once, though!) before moving on and starting their own families. I'm glad you had lots of help with your house! It will be easier for you now!
