LOL, Elizabeth! I can guarantee you that I'd be done with your toilets way before you'd be done with these floors! Probably even with Lucylee's added in. Now the shower, that's a much bigger, longer job, about the same as vacuuming the floors!
I took helper home so DH could shower in time for customer coming tonight. Then I S2S'd and wow, I had to wash my feet and arms 3 times to get all the dirt off them. I'm not strong enough to lift that sod by the top, I have to put it up on my arms to carry, like a bear hug. So I get really really dirty. I have a whole stack of clothes now that need a big long soak and wash.
Stopped on the way back to get fast food for our dinner. I never do that, but today was grateful for no cooking and no dishes and virtually no cleanup.
Sadie, I sure hope your DBro's arm heals fast and isn't too uncomfortable for him. Sorry to read he'd broken it.
Gonna feel good to lay down tonight!

Hello everyone! I have been MIA and missed being here!
I have cuop and was sorry to read, Sadie, that your dbro broke his arm. Hope he heals well without complications. And Harmony, I was sorry to hear about your dd and dfamily incident in Italy. Would be scary to be stranded away from home like that!
We had a busy weekend with both dsons and their dfamilies here. Saturday ds#1-C and family came earlier than usual so ds could make CDs of some of his 33 and 45 rpm records using our recorder. They stayed after supper till dark so the dgkids could light some sparklers. After they left we watched A Capitol Fourth, which was half over, so I watched it again. After that I found a west coast web cam of San Diego bay and watched their fireworks!
Sunday morning early ds#2-J called to let us know that he would be here about 10:30 am to mow grass in front and back and trim walkways. The back hadn't been done since before we left on vaca because of rain almost every day, so it was at least a foot high --- too high for dh to try mowing. The last time he tried the back yard he tripped and fell! Ddil-Y and dgd13 came soon after with KFC for lunch.
Anyway, we had storms every day from Saturday through yesterday and every time I tried turning on laptop it would start rumbling again. Dh had an appt. with his cardiologist yesterday and got a good report. Today we set up appts. for both of us for eye exams.
Now I'm just trying to stay caught up with routines, etc. I got a couple of things on the declutter challenge checked off, but the big ones from the weekend I will have to work on a few times. Tomorrow will be desk and laundry day, there is at least three loads to do.

This is definitely my favorite day of our 30-day declutter challenge. I feel like it was a big success for my closet.
I got caught in a driving rainstorm, Elizabeth, but it was brief. Glad you avoided the hail.
Every day, Sunny? Yuck! Storms, storms, go away.
lucylee, I was thinking that Wesley's father's 2 wives birthed about half the children each, but I looked it up because of your post, and his first wife had had only one before her death, and Wesley's mother Mary White had the remaining 24, though some died as babies. So Mary had a remarkable family. I know that Wesley herself favored relatively early weaning (for her time). If she learned that from her own mother Mary, that might explain pregnancies coming so quickly after the previous births, not slowed as much by breast feeding's effect on ovulation. Sorry... ... crudely practical pondering.
Amused that Nancy's crocheted chickens all turn out differently. Yes, real chickens are certainly like that.
Have folded and put away laundry.
Desk Day took a long time, including the email to finish up, but I'm grateful that's a Monthly done.
Allowed dd to go by Goodwill since she has been despairing over finding any decent shorts to wear. She found two pair and was so thankful for that. I found a Harley Davidson tee shirt that I think will make dstepson smile, a 50-cent frisbee for the boys to keep in the storage barn, and a little pack of notecards for sending to church members. So, nothing that is clutter!
The news reports about contaminated crayons may be on everyone's radar already. I put a link in Across the Cafe Table forum's Recalls and Alerts thread. There are just four brands.

Stopping by before heading to bed. I did get to BB and B. And went for a jog, my best one yet! I did 2.75 miles and was feeling really good and could have gone farther. It only took me 35 minutes - which tells you how slowly I'm going. But I'm faster than I was before! I may join dh tomorrow morning, unless it is raining, as forecast.
I also got 2 appts. made for dd17: an eye appt. and a retainer check with the orthodontist.
We cleared out the fridge a little by eating leftovers tonight. That was helpful. I have a watermelon I want to cut up and I need space for that.
After dinner, dh and I went out for coffee. We haven't had face time by ourselves for a long time. So, predictably, we got into an argument.
We eventually concluded that the 5 social evenings in a row (Wed. - Sunday) - plus a very social lunch on Sunday with a group of 9 going to visit a church and then going out to eat together - was just too much. One of dd19's friends was with us all day Sunday, and she is not the kind of person that can be ignored; she talks almost nonstop and asks questions and requires interaction from us. Not a bad characteristic at all - but for many hours in a row on the 5th evening in a row spent with groups sizes 8+ (except Friday was only 7 adults), it was just a bit much. Even though dh is an extrovert, it was even too much for him. . . We're gearing up for the next set of social evenings, just 4 in a row this time with houseguests arriving tomorrow and then our usual social Sunday dinner with S and R.
Once home, I gathered the bedding off the twin beds that needed to be washed and started a lol. Then, I proceeded to spot clean the carpet in the play room and in ds' room. I think the small group kids had left some spills on the carpet in the play room. Then, I tidied ds' room. He basically moved home from college and dumped all his stuff all over his room. Fortunately, his room is pretty empty as we emptied it out before GG moved in last year. She was the last one to really use it. There was plenty of space in the closet, drawers, and on shelves for his stuff.
((Sadie's brother)) I'd missed that he'd broken his arm. I hope it heals quickly.
Dd19 has some friends over from her Christian campus group. A few of the students are staying on campus for the summer, apparently. They are all outside on the patio roasting marshmallows over the outdoor fire pit we bought. It was a great idea!
I'm going to bed. I'll have a lot to do tomorrow finishing getting rooms ready for houseguests, doing other housecleaning, prepping for class, going in to work early, payroll, and then dinner for 10 adults, 2 children + 1 baby tomorrow night. Dh is cooking his authentic Indian curry. I'll make the rice, the roasted cauliflower, and heat up and butter the naan bread. I have ice cream on hand for dessert, unless people will want to roast marshmallows. I have a deal with dd19. She can use the marshmallows I bought for the Thursday crew tonight with her friends if she will go buy more for us to use tomorrow night if needed.
I have fallen off the bandwagon with the decluttering challenge. Many of the recent decluttering sessions were in areas that had either recently been decluttered by dh or that I really don't have a lot of. I really don't have a lot of skin and make up products. But jewelry and clothes would be very good for me to declutter. I doubt I'll get to it tomorrow. Maybe Friday.

Congratulations on your jogging progress, Helia. That's wonderful!
