I'm just sorta picking up at the moment where I am, without real cuop, but I did see your post about the swimming party, LadyM. (((HUGS))) for you and dd! I hope you do find the perfect counselor for her. She sounds like such a really wonderful child in so many ways. I know she doesn't WANT to have these meltdowns.
And blessed, your landscaping just sounds beautiful.
But exhausting a subject can sometimes mean you've just exhausted one of the people, and that would be me.
Harriet, I hope things are better by the time you read this, but I have to agree with you! (Although, to be honest, I am definitely the one who keeps wanting to talk something to death!) You know, sometimes, the theory about not going to bed angry is overrated... sometimes it's best to just let everyone get a good night's sleep and trust that things will look better in the morning.
Y'all, these past two days have about been plenty for me! Waaay too much socializing/busy-ness...
Yesterday, I did get to catch up on a lot of sleep in the morning, then picked up dgrands at 2:00 pm. We went to tour the historic home, but did not stay for the play. It would have been a 3-hour wait and was very iffy as to whether it would be canceled for rain, anyway.
Dgrands didn't want to go see the Minions movie, either. (I know, I was shocked, too.)
It's a good thing, because we came on home and apparently barely missed being caught in a really powerful thunderstorm. People on a route were complaining on FB about having lawn furniture blown all over their yards, etc.
We got home ahead of any rain, and went out to eat with dh & ds.
Then, while riding around later with the dgrands -- tire notification said we had a low tire.
We put air in it and within 10 miles down the road, it was low again. Went to ds' house and got portable air pump, but ds realized it was losing air so fast we could hear it!
Called AAA to come change the tire, put the spare on. I know, I know, most of you have husbands who would have done that and never thought a minute about it... but dh is just not able to do that sort of thing and didn't want to ask ds to get into it, either. So, we got home, waited on AAA for a couple hours -- I mean, the wait didn't matter to us since we were home, and like my dbil said later, that's why you pay them, anyway.
So today, The Plan was, I would let Wmart, where we purchased the tires, repair and switch back to the normal tire, while I was grocery shopping.
Well. No. The tire had TWO holes in it, one two large to patch/repair, soooo... now we are still driving the spare and waiting for a new tire to come in. Sigh.
These are M*ichelin tires, and probably have at least a 75,000 mile warranty, but I guess that doesn't cover something punching a HOLE in them.
We do have "roadside hazard" coverage, so the man said it would knock some off the price, but he didn't even tell me the price today.

Said he was having trouble with his computer, but new tire should be in by Wednesday.
Oh well.
Plus, I had to buy a million things I generally do NOT buy at Wmart, because ddil wants tacos at our house for her birthday celebration Wednesday.
Don't ask ME why HER parents are hosting this thing... they have to work, I guess. Her mom will work Wed. night, but will probably show up for party at 6:00 pm. (I think she goes in at 10:00/11:00 pm?)
This means I will also be forced to quit procrastinating and get this house cleaned up. I did NOTHING last week.
Later this evening, we went out to eat with ds & dgrands again and Cr*acker Barrel wait was well over 30 minutes. We waited, and spent a bunch of $$ on candy, and then when they couldn't give us an updated time to get a table after 30 minutes, we left and went to G*olden Corral.
THEN, went by Z*axby's chicken to get ddil something and dropped it off at the hospital where she works.
And the week ahead just already has me exhausted.
Tomorrow, dh has chiropractor appt at 2:15, I have church meeting at 6:00 , and dgd has ballgame at 6:30.
OH -- and I must order ddil's cake! Almost forgot!
Tuesday, dgd has ballgame.
Wednesday, party...
Thursday, luncheon with new preacher.
And… TMI… but I’ve kinda felt like I’ve been prepping for a colonoscopy for the past 2 1/2 weeks. Constantly back and forth to the bathroom.
Calgon, take me away...
Waving to you ALL. I hope I can pop in and let y'all know if I'm keeping my head above water later this week...
