Earlier part of desk torture is complete. The easier part, AKA the "Sales Journal" which isn't actually any type of journal, just what my accountant has called it. Now I get to enter into "Hell" AKA the "Disbursements Journal". That will take a couple of days with lots of writing involved and numerous columns that have to balance to the penny. UGH! Thankfully I only have 6 months to catch up on to bring us up to date. We are only 1 quarter behind, which is okay.
What colours are now on the walls LadyM?
We had tandoori chicken finished on the BBQ after the cooked/boiled drumsticks soaked in the sauce for a few minutes to tint the meat red. It was a tiny bit too spicy for me, but dh LOVED it. He also had some of the tandoori sauce poured over his zucchini (from the garden) while it was cooking on the BBQ. We had corn on the cob with my corn being removed before I ate it. We also had boiled potatoes from the garden.

Re: Shocking Sunday!
I am so glad that I stuck to one thing and only one thing today. I haven't done dailies but dh did dishes and dd is making dinner.
I am hoping to finish the weeding - the area weeded has eased my visual brain. I don't feel so overwhelmed looking at it right now.
I noticed in the flower bed, that the young man and I did last weekend, is growing grass again but it I am able to keep up with it now.
tomorrow:
call and pay the driveway people
bring my list of my errand to do's with me tomorrow -
I will call the young man to come in 2 weeks so that the inside garden work is done for the winter.
I will have to buy top soil and use the Charles Dowding no dig prep for next year.
I think I will plan for August, Sept, and October so that I am ready for next spring. (includes painting).
plan on having fun before summer ends. I have been working so hard on the house (inside and out) that I haven't had time for fun. Now that things are on maintenance will be a big help.
we have so many baby toads this year. They loved my weeds
poor things were not hoppy!
no snakes today

Re: Shocking Sunday!
Blessedw2 the desk stuff is just over half done. The EASY part is done. Now I am starting the hard half. Since my last post, I have done 1 of the 6 months. It wasn't a busy month, which is why I've finished. There have been times when 1 month takes me an entire day. I have at least 2 more days of this.

I'm on a much-needed break. Feet up, fan on high and glass of tea.
DH installed the curtain brackets. Instead of putting them back into the same location, I raised and widened them. Now the curtains hang better.
I have about 90% of the paint and markers removed from her desktop. I'm not trying to get it perfect because she will continue to use it for her painting and drawing projects.
The paint colors that DD11 selected for her bedroom =
Base color = Vanilla Chai (tanish)
Accent colors = In the moment, Retro Glam purple, and Chit Chat (peach)
These are the same colors that are in the quilt that I gave her last year.

Pretty colors, especially the peach. I have peach on my bedroom walls, though a bit pinker and lighter. I lay there and look at the walls and think how pretty. I never feel that in the green/blue room. That's a very nice base color too. I like it.
Got that shopping done. Got the gift I had in mind, got two to keep one for Christmas for someone else. Looked and looked for something else I had wanted but it wasn't there. The clerk looked it up and said they had it online if I wanted... but if I want to buy it online I will try a cheaper place.
On to the next store for padded envelope to fit...and while I was there, oh well, might as well get groceries. Glad that's done. DH was out riding his bike when I got home so I had the joy of bringing it all in myself. Done! Got his dinner started while I was putting stuff away. Nice long break. I have a LOL to fold up and put away next. I hate living out of a laundry basket! Off I go to get started, I have something I want to watch on TV at 9.

Re: Shocking Sunday!
Phase 3 is done! I kept going on DD11 desk and was able to remove 99% of the paint and markers. All the furniture has been returned to her bedroom and her bed is made. I've got the furniture pulled an inch from the fresh paint and two fans blowing in the room to keep the air circulating while the paint finishes drying. It feels dry to the touch, but I assume it needs to dry for a few hours.
DD11 is going through all her stuff that is in the living room and returning the things she wants to keep to her bedroom. I have offered to help but she wants to do it herself.
