HAPPY BIRTHDAY MYSTERY! I'm sorry your trip had so many problems. I can't imagine...hornets in the outhouse. Yikes!

Well, I was sorry to see the news out of England. Sure is some day. Sunny's DH's birthday was today and our DMother died on this day also.

It was cloudy today so wasn't as hot as usual, in the high 80's not 90's. About 3:30 it started raining and it is still raining almost 4 hours later. I worked out on the back porch from 11:00 to 3:30.

I got the trim piece up at the ceiling painted all the way around; painted the bathroom door outside, one metal piece for the hurricane shutters across a sliding glass door painted and some of the white stucco bands around that door painted. Some of the other bands done. There's still a lot of work out there to be done but I think the hardest part is finished.

This porch is 19' x 12' with 2 slabs that attach at one side and they are 3' x 13'. We are going to do some coating on the floor but we'll get it ready and do it after the rains quit.

I'm pretty bushed but I did get our dinner and clean up kitchen. Tomorrow's another early day.

Happy birthday, Mystery! And (((hugs))) — what a trip!

I have also been stuck on the net all day, watching the news from England. Sad, but comforted that she wasn’t left without Prince Phillip any longer. Loved reading about their courtship — apparently she was in love with him at first sight when she was 13 and he was 18. (They didn’t marry for at least 8 years afterwards.)
Personally, I just don’t feel Charles will be as respected in the monarchy as she was.

We are packed for tomorrow. That’s about all I’ve accomplished for the day.
