I am having a hard time posting. Maybe it's God telling me - get to work!
It took me all afternoon to cut down the sunflowers and remove seeds etc. I still have to dig up the roots soon so I don't trip on it next year.
pumpkins are mostly orange but still have some green - there are 2 pumpkins that are completely green and I don't think they will make it.

dd younger told me that people by her are starting to worry about the storm. She is in Naples. She will talk to my d brother tomorrow and see what he wants her to do for d mom re: prepping for storm. They are on the 7th and 8th floors of a building on the coast. it's steel on cement building and d mom thinks she can make it through it - I want them to come home as they won't have any electricity or help if they get stuck in the condo.

praying the storms dissipates and everyone stays safe.

waving to all of you.
I am hoping to respond later tonight.

Blessed, Naples is in the cone too same as we are, but they are pretty far down in the cone. We are dead center. Ugg. I would make the decision to leave or not based on how close to the coast they are, how did their building do during Irma or other hurricanes. They're not out on a barrier island are they? Those they usually tell people to evacuate. Their local news should tell them what's expected in their area. It's too soon to know what's going to happen. By then it's too late to get a reservation somewhere and if people are driving the roads get absolutely clogged. Are their electric lines buried or overhead? That makes a difference too. I wish them luck.

I helped DH secure some stuff out by the fire pit. Little stuff that would blow all over. We put that together under some bigger logs.

I must get 3 LOL done. If we have the storm here at least we'll have clean clothes for a while.

I saw how that hurricane Fiona was set to hit Canada. Surely when it gets all the way up there it will be a milder storm? I hope so. But then I think about Sandy and how strong it was all the way to New Jersey. Sigh...we could have done without all this.

Thinking of Cathy, Ken and Kathryn, Harmony, Ramblin', all families and Dee's family members too. Batton down those hatches, yes, and be philosophical about any potential loss of technology or electrical, etc., I suppose.

Dstepson visited here today and did some tractor work. Ds called from a team-building day of their municipality employees, at a moment he didn't have anything to do. Much noise in the background, almost all loud voices. He said it was a highly unusual day.

I put peppers into a meal this evening and unfortunately regretted it. Yipes. I wish peppers carried a label. "Hello,
I am much hotter than the exact same one you used last week." That's why I keep sour cream in the house. I'm letting the dish mellow in leftover mode to see if it's redeemable.
