Decision fatigue, bw2. Hard to make some of those decisions knowing the packrat tendencies within your household too. Sometimes I feel like I'm sneaking things out.

I have chicken on the grill. I'm steaming broccoli and will have some apple slices.

Can't... move... ugh... ate... too... much...

I didn't make gravy. We didn't need it. We didn't eat the bread. We really enjoyed the home made ice cream. We didn't even bring out the whipped cream. We are having leftovers tomorrow night and maybe even some between now and then. It was all so good.

Oh I would love to have a turkey dinner about right now. I don't have the band width in my brain to figure out a decent dinner yet. I've been taking some things out of the freezer to the garbage, some of that got picked up today. DH thinks it is a mortal sin to throw away food, no matter how old it is, no matter if it thawed and re-froze etc. etc. so I just don't say anything, I just tuck it away in a bag and out it goes. Are we all doing similar stuff to get rid of things?

We had red beans and rice. This mix was spicy. I did a bunch more raking until I just couldn't lift the heavier stuff to drag it to the piles. I also did all the desk chores. I worked on my study which is at least 2 weeks behind, and I got 4/5ths of one week done today. They are putting a plan together for how we will meet. Our rooms we use for this in the church are damaged and they are working on them.

Our tree cutters called at 8:30 this morning, said if it was ok they were coming. Yes, please come. Well, all day we waited. Finally about 4 they called, said if it was ok they would come now. Sure, the trees are still there, please come. They were here a couple hours. DH sitting in a beach chair to enjoy the "show". I went out once to see, and my goodness one guy with a chain saw and ropes was swinging around up and down in the trees and from one to the other. 6 big oaks trimmed out, all the dragging limbs gone and much trimming. It looks pretty bad now but when it leafs out it will be better. They threw all the limbs up on the piles. Check paid. Glad that's done.

Gal at the satellite company had our TV going pretty easily. So now everything is in order except the house phone. I really don't need that, it's only spam calls we get anyway. It was part of the package to get the internet, and some business customers still have that number, so that's why we have it. If I drop it the internet will be at least the same price, so doesn't make any difference.

Blessed, you are doing a great job in your house. Do you think the junk truck is expensive? My cousin was thinking about using one until she found out they charge by the pound. She's in her deceased parents house and they left everything when they passed, she moved in and never cleaned it out.

LadyM, now that it's all over, I wonder if you'll feel tired. Take it easy for a while.

d harmony it is expensive but it's not by the pound -
for us it's the amount of space in the truck. 1/4 truck/1/2 truck etc. .

when I first started dejunking and had work done in the bathroom(years ago now) I had to hire a dumpster. That was expensive. Our town won't let us put bulk stuff into the garbage so it's the only way. I have been charged anywhere from 150 to 360$ for junk k ing - got junk was more expensive. I don't know what college hunks charge.
When we lived in the country we had a local dump that we could bring things to - limited amounts but we could still get rid of stuff.

Junk k ing has people come out and tell you how much they will charge for the stuff.If I don't want to pay the price they give I can say no thank you. I just want it out - I don't like the hassle of selling things. I find that it's worth me paying for it as it weighs heavy on my mind and space.

For my dear mom in laws home we had a house sale - people went through and picked stuff up but for this woman she has her stuff in there as well.

My favorite is still the free garage sales- I had them on the front lawn a couple times in a summer - I didn't have to sit out there and almost every thing went - fb marketplace is great for telling people about sales - same with other sources that don't cost money. I also put things up on fb market place for free - people have to do their pick up within a certain hour I choose- I put the things out when they are almost at my house - or I have it in the garage until they come. I don't like people coming into my house.

I feel for her - it's so hard to be surround by everything. I hope she has family that can help her.

I agree d twins - having dd younger gone - It's not easy guilt wise but easy taking it out. you are right - it's decision fatigue - I forget sometimes that this is what is going on. there is definitely a packrat tendencies in my house hold!!!!

I am NOT believing this. I spent most of the afternoon getting things sooo nicely organized with my teacher group documents -- roster, email list, phone numbers... and THEN... after I saved it -- OR CERTAINLY THOUGHT I SAVED IT!!! -- it was nowhere to be found! AAUAUUGGUGHHHH!!!!
I just wanted to scream!!!
Fortunately, I had printed the documents when I did them, so I scanned them, but --

Is there any simple way to convert a PDF to a Word document or an Excel document???
Because, what I've got right now is apparently not editable.
I am so aggravated.

Anyway, other than that, I emailed the church roster to the office secretary to ask her to double check it.
First email, I forgot to attach the roster. * sheesh *

Computer mouse still does not seem to be responding as well as it did before installing McAfee.

ALSO --
dh took shower, I cleaned his shower when I dried it off and
we went out and got chicken noodle soup at the grocery store, but haven't eaten yet.
He also wanted a slushie from S onic, but their machine wasn't working, so I got him one at gas station across the street, and we rode around for a little while. He just wanted to get out of the house.
At his suggestion, we stopped at D ollar G eneral and I bought an embarrassingly small amount of paper plates, cups, and paper towels, (only spent $10) and dropped them off at dcousin's door. I'm not sure they were home. I didn't knock. Sent her a text to tell her it was there.

I think I'll take a break and eat my soup. I got two cans; dh didn't want the homestyle/chunky kind like I got, just the plain, old-fashioned red & white can. I think he's asleep again.

Microsoft Word will open a pdf document and let you edit it. It will convert the pdf to a format that is editable in word.

Also to recover unsaved word document, go to File, manage documents, recover unsaved document.

I went to the alternative small group study that is held at teacher home on Monday nights. There were only four of us tonight, so we sat outside (screened porch) while studying. I felt like a sponge soaking up knowledge and the time just seemed to zoom by.

I am feeling my energy level return as the brain fog lifts. The calendar is full this week, so I need to do some planning instead of just flying by the seat of my pants.

do before tomorrow -
** School pictures will happen tomorrow. Need to fill out the paperwork for that and a check written....also...I need to get DD11 into the shower and hair washed tonight....
** I need to arrange for a photographer to take DS14 school picture....this doesn't need to happen before tomorrow but I can't forget about it.
** I need to make a dessert to take to the elderberry lunch tomorrow and that will be......uhmmm.....I don't have a clue.
** Call pharmacy about the text they sent saying 2 prescriptions need to be picked up. Huh? we aren't missing any.
** Reschedule DS14 homeschool lessons. We took today off and now everything preplanned on the calendar is uncoordinated.
** Gather the flower cards and food list from funeral before they get lost so Thank you cards can be written.
** Plan the next 24 hours of meals and get ingredients out of freezer to start thawing.

I don’t think my version of Word does that, LadyM.
I kn w you’d know what to do, but I can’t figure out how to do it!

If I try to open in word, it asks what I want to use — 3 options— and they all just show a bunch of gibberish.

If I just open “file” I can’t find a “manage documents” command. I’m hopeless with technology!

But the good thing is, these are documents that really don’t change. One good copy is really all I need for the year, and so far, I’ve never lost one. So i really don’t expect to be editing them anyway. Just aggravating!
