LOL at Dr.M's medical degrees. I consult Dr. Google frequently myself.

Dh is home and on his Zoom meeting and talking a mile a minute. Sometimes I wonder that anyone else can get anything in. I'll go downstairs soon and start the chicken salad from the grilled chicken from the other night. I had high hopes of going out tonight, but his Zoom could potentially last until 7:30, and I'm one of those old people who don't like to go out at night. Scratch that, I just don't like to go out.

Talked to dfriend earlier who had knee replacement and she's doing well, but we're leaving it open as far as seeing them this weekend. We offered to pick up food and go by for supper with them and a visit.

Finally getting here. It's been another busy day.

Lucylee, sure hope DGS does ok with his new medicine and if this is causing the stomach distress maybe he'll get used to it.

We have our landline back. Not really a good thing, lots of robo calls. Before the phone quit working the day after the storm, I got a couple robo calls. I remember saying to one person, are you nuts? We're in the middle of a hurricane here. NOT INTERESTED! And then I blocked that number. I'm sure she was calling from another country.

Outside working on the fence all morning till about 1:30; short nap (the heat and sun had me all done in) and then I drove down to Pharmacy to get my Rx. Traffic is just awful these days. All the out-of-towners who are here either for their winter in the sun, or people who came to check on their storm damage, or all the trucks for the crews trying to fix this stuff. And there seems to be a lot of police cars, fire trucks, and not all the traffic lights are working...some are down and a temporary string of lights on the biggest intersection I go through. One lane was blocked off by a truck with a big claw trying to remove big huge trees knocked down and too close to the busy road. I just try to be very mindful of what's going on around me and be cautious and not get hit.

Shopping center where the pharmacy is was half damaged. Big store at the end all black and closed up. I wonder how much time this is all going to take. Still no pickups of the piles of debris around here.

So we got about as much done as we can. DH has determined our fence company is making a different product than we had originally installed. That's why we had to saw 1/4" off the end of all the pickets. Now, we're missing about 50 pickets to finish and we only have about 10 that are damaged, so we figure our neighbor must have picked up 40 of ours in his yard. That's ok, he will find out these will be too long for his fence which is the other kind the fence company is making now. Sigh... We have to travel an hour to get the correct size pickets. We won't ask him for them, he will probably be able to cut them and use them in his yard. We will get new. But we got 1 side done, the back all the way across our 2 lots, and a couple sections done up the other side. That's great progress.

As we went along I tried to wipe up and "scrub" with the brush the dirt and debris. Since it's all off the back porch except for one gate, I swept it and cleaned off the porch, picked up the 1/4" pieces of vinyl in the grass, and tidied up back there. I put all the end caps in a bin by themselves. That's all I could do before it got dark.

Our new credit cards came, also the bill from last month. There is so much work to do there. I don't have time to do all of the things that need done and I haven't looked at my study for a few days. I need a clone to help with all this. At least I picked up a baked chicken when I was out and we had that and some veggies and baked potatoes. And I definitely need a shower!

Night everyone. Dee, hope you get a good sleep tonight, both of you.

LadyM, sorry to read this latest news, know it will lead to lots of problems for your DH. It's a lot to happen, on top of losing his DMother. I'll be praying for a good solution that will make it easier for all.

Oh — thank you, Dr Google-LadyM!
He took his first shot last Thursday and did not get sick till Sunday evening. So, it wasn’t an immediate reaction, but I will definitely keep that in mind and kinda watch what happens next time. He will only get a shot every other week (but first dose was two shots).

IF it IS reaction to the medicine, maybe he will adjust in time and be able to tolerate it.

OTOH — he ate a salad and a pretty big bowl of spicy seafood gumbo tonight, and he has been running full speed and playing since we got home. So it could have been a little virus. The second day he stayed home he admits he got to feeling better “about 9:00 am.” Hmmm… I’m not discounting a little bit of laziness and enjoying the video games and mommy’s attention. ;)
Tomorrow is another day.
