Hello - dh is still in surgery for the peg tube.
dd younger is torn d harriet. She is thinking of moving back to our area - again that comes with a whole bunch of questions re: her future. She has wonderful supportive friends there. I am sure that having dh being ill is making her think about where she wants to be.
I am so happy your dh is home d dee!
thank you for thinking of us!
I am praying for guidance and trust which way the future will take us.
My brother is done and I don't blame him - lots of things to think of.
answers: we found a place for dh - it's not rated as high as the other places but it is near our house. The places that had really good ratings (compared to this one), could not handle his medical needs. I will pray that the right people and right care comes his way. At least we won't have to drive an hour to get to where he is.
questions: what will happen if mom moves back here - will she get worse as she loves Florida- will I be able to split myself between dh and mom. I have faith the answers will present themselves.- they might not be what I want but it will be what it is. I think mom needs to come back as we are all here. She loves it there.
will dd y0ounger be okay coming back here and moving away from her friends. Will her depression settle in. If mom moves back here what will she do.
will dd older finds her way with the growth she wants from her job.
praying they find a family life for themselves with a good, kind and respectful spouse who will be by their side and lift them up and that they can respect and lift up as well.. (faith filled).
Right now I am looking at what I can do in the moment- The rest- I have to give it up to God bc it's too big for me.
time to be grateful and move forward for the next moments.

Re: Thriving Thursday
Coming back through. We had dinner out and I'm at my desk waiting to be let into the orientation Zoom session. (I hope!) This is taking awhile.
I had a good afternoon. My workout wasn't too hard, so I felt somewhat energized when done. As opposed to Tuesday when I was overtired I think. Today I got myself and iced coffee, then went to WF for return, UPS store for return, and Staples. Walked around Staples a bit and went in store with dog things and got Millie a couple of things - specialty treats and and a holder for the poopy bags to attach to the leash.
I know I'm talking crazy now, but thinking about making a list and trying to knock out some errands tomorrow. I also texted neighbors and they will dog sit for Millie while we go to ATL overnight with friends this weekend. (I'm channeling Lucylee worrying about taking one car and too much "together" time.)
We'll see how I feel about tomorrow in the morning, I think. I need to clean up for the dcleaning lady first.
8800 steps so far. I'll be ready for bed when orientation hour is over. Not sure I'll go to the break out room for my course.
((Bw2)) so many questions for you. So much to thinking about, don't think it all has to be settled today or tomorrow. I'm glad he was accepted at a rehab place, and you won't have to travel far to visit.

Re: Thriving Thursday
Oh DBlessed, you have so much on your plate.
I'm pondering whether dh should have come home or not this afternoon. Could tell he was feeling really crappy and took his BP: 83/54. Made sure he got his potassium tonight. DD and Dsonil have left for Trivia. Dh thought I was going too -and leave him home alone? I don't think so. DD made me promise I'd call them if anything came up. They did help get him into the bedroom and in bed (recliner) before they left. We have to be out of here by 7:30 in the morning to make sure we're at the cardiologist by 8:15. Actually I think we need to leave a little earlier as we're going to drop dsonil off at the VW dealer on the way.
Heading to bed and hoping for at least some sleep off and on tonight. Guess I'd better set my alarm.

Re: Thriving Thursday
(((Blessed))) so much for you to balance right now. Is there any 'independent' senior's home your mom could move to? In my experience the stimulation from activities, the socializing, and the steady meals really helps add quality time to people's lives. And the ability to go outside without having to get boots and a coat and hat and gloves (and no risk of falling on ice) means she'd get more light and fresh air there than in the north. Which also helps with sleeping which helps with confusion.
I got all the shopping done. Found nice steaks (for a small fortune) and bought those for dinner. Texted dh the change in the meal plan and he started baked potatoes. We had a very large dinner. After dinner I watched all the Kelly Clarkson/Dolly clips on YouTube.
My music friend just texted that she has Covid (her second time, and she's feeling awful, just like last time.)
I paid the bills that arrived yesterday and transferred money between accounts so I don't have to worry about a low balance. I'm not making much progress on the reconciling. I'll set my timer for 25 more minutes and if I don't hit my stride with that, I'll give up and go to bed.

Oh, (((blessed)))… thinking of you, dh, ddaughters, and your dmom.., and praying for doors to open, solutions to become clear, for peace of mind in all that you are facing.
I understand so much how dd would be torn between her grandmother and her life in FL… or you and dh and what she wants to do there. Just try, as much as possible, to take one day at a time.
(((Twins))) Hope all goes well with your trip! Don’t channel ME! It can’t lead to anything good, LOL!
PROGRESS!
All decorations are off the tree and In the boxes!
All laundry— including towels/underwear (Sheldon’s obsession) is DONE!
Teacher meeting notes are typed (but I forgot to send them out in email.)
AND — I did my walk away the pounds tonight.
