Thank you, Twins', would have missed this phenomenon without you. I don't know exactly why that was happening... .. All fixed, unless they are somehow multiplying like rabbits in there.

I've knocked another item off my to do list. I had procrastinated on this one since the week before Christmas. My stats earlier were flawed, I've done seven of seventeen at this point.

I'm going to have a glass of wine with dfriend M. Druary is over!

How do you all combat Feb doldrums?
I remember in-laws battled that a lot.

I napped.
I have been outside getting in a few more steps picked up more in the back yard.
Froze up 2 mini loaves of bread.
Met my exercise goal today yea!
Some small branches as well now I am up to my quota for this part of my day.
Thinking on a journal prompt.
I learned the ____________ church laundered $ for the mob on a movie I listened to.
Made some coffee as I contemplate my next sewing project & finished it.

Next where to put books I want to keep and my Dream Big planner. One book put in the other room.
Planner is still out.

Town across the river had a big area of power out not sure why I am grateful for power.

I have a new attitude instead of whining about how long it takes to clean My attitude is I am blessed to have a home that is big enough
that it takes me 2 days to clean!

My book came so I dived in and read the intro. and 1st devoational!

Lady M: My second argument was based on me forgetting that ds14 is driving. That's not legal here. In my province, the earliest you can be driving with an adult beside you supervising is the day you turn 16 after completing the written test, unsupervised is 16 years and 8 months after getting your supervised license early because you've passed a drivers' ed course and an in-car test. Younger than 16 can drive farm equipment across a road but not on it. At age 16 you can drive farm equipment on the road and do not require a driver's license. Alberta allows a learner permit at 14 but that requires a fully licensed adult 18+ to be with the learner. Graduated license (some restrictions but allowed to drive by yourself) is 16, full license is at least 2 years after that.

I completed 6.5 of the 10 tasks on my list for the day plus went down a couple of rabbit holes. I need to make a dpc over B's mail so that is only partly finished. And while the filing of residents' papers is done, the filing frame hasn't been put away yet. I'm not sure it still fits in the cupboard.

The walk to the bank was a success, it was much warmer than we expected. Not much sun, though. We stopped in at a recommended artisanal butcher shop that has a small selection of meat and a large selection of prepared meals both fresh and frozen. We bought two single serving frozen pot pies and had those for dinner tonight and a shepherds pie made with lamb is in the freezer.

My beef pot pie was quite meaty but dh's chicken pot pie was solid chicken and he only managed half of it. They were very expensive (over 2x the regular price you'd pay a grocery store, 4x a sale price) but they were good and easy to bake. We put them in the oven when we walked in the door and they were almost ready when I got off the call with dgs.

I guessed the ending to the book, dgs had thought up a much darker ending (he is read a lot of Roald Dahl by his parents so I'm hoping it comes from that.) We selected which book we'll start tomorrow.

I got the kitchen chores done, but not the zone chores. Yesterday I disassembled my vacuum cleaner head with a beater bar to clean it because it wasn't spinning well and now it doesn't spin at all. I have the same vacuum as Harmony and bought this as a special attachment since the piece that comes with it is just straight suction. I may just throw money at this problem. At least I finished all the vacuuming of the carpets before I took it apart.

Tomorrow will be another busy day and I continue to focus on the papers and finances and add in some zone work. Dh has a CT scan in the evening so we'll probably eat out early and then drive to the hospital for the test. He's on the priority list for an angiogram as well since he can't have the surgery until he gets an angiogram or some other fancy but less invasive, test. The fancy test has a 12 week waiting list so he's opted for the angiogram. But we still don't know when that will be.

Well, I guess I've been wondering all day if I will EVER have another high-energy day like I did last Wednesday.
Yesterday and today have definitely NOT been high-energy days.
And the weather certainly encourages one to snuggle up in a blanket and nap or read (or eat). Whew. That's all I've done the past 48 hours, I guess -- well, after running errands yesterday.

It seems like it has rained for 40 days and nights around here and tomorrow is supposed to be another all day rain.
I really don't care though; I told dh, when it's cold and sunny it almost makes me mad -- It's like the sky is teasing you, saying, "Come on out, it's a beautiful day," and then when you go out, you're FREEZING.
DH loves winter. He says it is so much easier to breathe in the winter and when you ride around in the forest, you can see for miles, it seems.
(Of course, I dread the days when it's 95 degrees and you can see the humidity in the air, too.)

But mainly, I have done nothing today.
DS backed out on the ballgame trip -- he's still feeling feverish and achy. We called a couple of friends who have asked for tickets when/if we aren't using them, but they couldn't go either, so we put them on St*bhub and sold them in 17 minutes! We took a $4 loss per ticket, but that's a lot better than just keeping them lying here on the dresser and losing the whole cost.
After that, we went to the post office, paid some bills, stopped at the grocery store.
We ate at home tonight -- chili (plus a sandwich for dh)... and I ate an entire bag of Turtle Chex Mix ... and watched the ballgame on tv.
I didn't go to church because I have been having slight virus symptoms myself.
Dbro called and I talked to him for a while. (They are planning again to come up during the middle of March.) Dmom is returning the coat they got her for Christmas, and he had mailed the return label to me, wanted to make sure I got it. (Dmom doesn't use her email.)

I need to wash the supper dishes and do some form of walk away the pounds. Started the month with no gain since first of January, but I bet I'll see the effects of all tonight's sodium and sugar in the morning. Sigh.

Hello. Good night, really. I don't know why I bother to post when it's this late. Probably only Lucylee and maybe Nancy see anything this late. It's been one of those days.

LOL LadyM! Yeah, DH is quite the chick magnet. Anyone who thinks that can come here and take care of him! We once had a couple ladies in a car next to him ask him about the truck, told him their husbands would be so impressed! One time he was hauling a metal roof panels down the interstate and got a flat tire. He was off the side changing his tire and a bunch of ladies pulled over to ask him if he was alright. I swear...

Kathryn, when we bought that wonderful (NOT) vacuum, we got the regular head and the one with the beater bar and the electric cord I must wrap around the pipe handle and attach to make it work. Whole thing is so awkward to drag around, don't you think?

Nancy, I think your power outage hit the news down here. I also saw one power outage from ice on the interstate and semi's crashing on a bridge, knocking out power lines but that was Arkansas or Missouri. Or somewhere around there. I looked to see how close to Oklahoma that weather was. We are 80's again during the day. I haven't had a sweater on since Friday.

Today was my dentist appointment and I had a chip (either the bottom of the tooth or the filling) repaired. Also a little cavity fixed on an eye tooth. This new dentist has the noisiest tools. But they sure go fast and get it done quickly. I wish he wasn't so expensive. But I have to remember, our old dentist hadn't increased his prices for years. And I think this guy has more skill too.

So, I've had an iffy tummy for a few days. On Monday I made a pot of chili. Think I noticed the last time I made this that my plumbing didn't like it either. I think I'm getting sensitive to too much fiber. Used to do ok eating this many beans. Anyway, I've just been ignoring it, and went to the Dentist and bought a load of groceries at the store on the way home, then I collapsed into my chair and slept all afternoon. OK now. I'm doing better. So maybe I can get something done tomorrow. I did stop and drop off all those donations from yesterday.

Noticed I must have my time set wrong. It is only 11:29 here...I'll see what my post says.
