Good luck, Blessed, with all the coming changes.
RRose, I gave several suggestions when you asked about cabinets for a garage, but I'm not sure you saw my post that day, and I'm not at all sure they would be helpful either.
Harriet, so happy you found your address box. Such a good idea to put your address on 3X5's. I would be lost without my address book. Though I have taken pages out (it's a ring binder, 5x8 size) and added pages when people keep moving around, and several times I have wished I would have had the old addresses for some reason (can't remember now why). I actually have 2 no 3 new addresses to add to the book. GFriend's son and fiance are having a baby next week and I asked for their address so I could send them a gift. Just for Blessed, they are living now in Bartlett. I called DD to wish her happy birthday as she turned 50 today
and I asked how it was going with the sale of her house. Oh yeah I hadn't told you...house is sold...and we are in a furnished rental (new address) and the house we are buying we'll be into 1st week of March (another newer address).
So all of the above was my chore for today on the way home from our Study. First I got gas because I was riding on E
and the gas station was mobbed with people. Then I went to the mall and looked for a gift to send DD. Seems I couldn't spend money in that store! 1st gift ended up 80% off with no sign where it was displayed...oh, now I'll look for something else, 2nd gift ended up 50% off with also no sign! And I looked at baby gifts there and just couldn't justify spending their prices and went to another store. Walked in under my umbrella in pouring rain...and got 3 onsies (so cute, the patterns) and a sleeper, and a set of booties. I'll get everything in the mail Monday.
I guess that's about all of my day. Gee, I came home so tired. Sure wish I had more energy these days. I have a letter to answer and a thank you note to send. Should make a to-do list for tomorrow. And then take days to do them all!
Kathryn, I had no idea a beater bar could be made to turn under wind power like that. I hope it fits on your pole and works nicely for you. It looked like it worked on low pile or indoor-outdoor carpet. Anyway, who has shag carpet these days? Our other vacuum likes to suck the throw carpets up and stick to the head and make a huge noise. Even the little sweeper does that. I need to run a vacuum around here...or start making sand castles. DH ran something in the laundry room a couple nights ago for me as I'd mistakenly left a Kleenex in a pocket and it looked like snow in there. Vacuuming is not my favorite job these days.
