Before I left to take DS14 to the city, I went to church and moved chairs. Someone gave a donation to purchase new children's chairs for the Pre-K dept. Their "old" chairs were in better shape than the chairs we use in the nursery, so I wanted to get them moved to the nursery before they were claimed by someone else.

I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to get DS14 arm xrayed. 20 minutes @ family doc office. 21 minutes at outpatient radiology @hospital. DS14 had a special event tomorrow that he didn't want to miss so we scheduled an appt to get the results on Wednesday morning.

I thought DS14 was still growing, and the doctor office confirmed it. DS14 has grown 2" since the last time he was there. He is 75 in/190.5cm tall now. His weight hasn't changed so adding the height without increase in weight means his body composition is changing. He has commented a couple times that his pants fall off without a belt holding them up. I know he puts his pants on without unbutton/unzipping them. I am very very thankfully his feet have stopped growing. He has worn the same size shoe for over a year.

I made spaghetti & meat sauce for the family supper. I'm having grilled fish and asparagus.

I planned to go to ladies' night tonight at church. There were 28 ladies signed up to play dizzy bridge and eat finger foods. We always have a good time but I'm running low on energy and need some time when I'm not constantly ON.

I have over 12K steps now so by the time I do two more hourly step counts I will probably be close to 14k steps.

I have been scrolling on FB catching up on local happenings. The mother of DD11 best friend posted that B got student of the month. I congratulated her. Another friend posted her son got student of month for 4th grade and I congratulated him. I kept mindlessly scrolling and then I saw a picture of DD11 posted by the school saying she was awarded Student of the Month for 6th grade. If I hadn't been scrolling FB I probably wouldn't have found out. DD11 doesn't ever brag about herself. She gets awards and makes straight A's but never says a word about it. If I didn't find these accomplishments through other sources, then I wouldn't know about them.

I came to look at the important news of the day. I'm glad Ken's news so far is good, wish Kathryn and little one didn't have sore throats. What a time to be feeling that. :(

RRose, your news took my breath away, even though it was not entirely unexpected. I'd like to know how you found the places to go to.

Blessed, good idea to take DH out to walk around. You're sure being a good helpmate.

LadyM, congratulations on DD11's award. You have a reason to be proud of her. Hope DS's arm isn't too hurt.

So, today was pretty good. DH and I went to a small nursery that's pretty stocked with plants of all sorts. I got a cart load of things to plant, couple tomatoes and peppers, a few more flowering bushes for the flower garden. When we came home DH came around with me and used his post hole digger to dig holes for my plants. Nice way to make the holes without having to get down on hands and knees. Actually, when we were looking around in the nursery he had to lean on his shopping cart and for a few minutes sat on an empty table. Shopping is hard for him now. But everything is planted now and watered good. I pruned a bush too.

That's about it. Oh, I made a big pot of chili, enough to eat for a few days. It turned out pretty good.

Hoping everybody gets a good night's sleep and tomorrow there is good news here.

Sorry I am so late arriving today -- but so glad to hear all went well with Ken! (((HUGS))) and feel better soon, Kathryn & dgs!
And (((BIG HUGS))) to Mr. Dee. Goodness! I know that was scary! (((Dee)))
Also glad to see blessed's dh getting some "extra" PT from personal "nurse," blessed.

We have had a very good day, after a tough one yesterday. DH was an usher at church, and we had communion, so that required more standing and walking for him. When we got home with both dgrands, he had had about all he could take. They played together pretty well for a while, and then dgd decided she wanted to go home. She is having a rough time -- recovering from hand/foot virus and she has a horrible rash especially on her upper thighs. PLUS the plantar wart on her foot. I hope she made it okay at ball practice today.

DH felt much better today, and after his chiropractor appt, we went out to eat and * surprise * to a movie! First time in a LONG time that we have done that!
I also changed sheets and have a load of dh's clothes in the washer now.

He is still upset about his brother, but seems to be managing his emotions a little better today. I'll put that in MO.

I hope everyone has a better day tomorrow. I'll be going for my wellness check-up and getting labwork tomorrow.
