Dh just reminded me I have a meeting tonight. Grumble. My fault for not reading my google calendar or bullet journal.
Had a nice lunch with my friend. Went to the library and picked up my book on hold plus found dgs2's favourite book ready to take out again. I'm excited to read it to him once more.
Now to prep a light dinner and get ready for my meeting.

Two big things done today and now off my mind. That big statement is done, ended up being 2 pages and I stapled it to the front of all the receipts in a very big stack. DH and I looked at it and debated for a while and decided to change the labor amount. After I did that I remembered a very big charge that wasn't included but which we paid, so the labor amount makes more sense to us now. We are mindful that this lady had 3 engineers tell her to just bulldoze the house and get rid of it. No, we thought as she did also, that it was fixable. I am glad we were able to make this happen. There is a bit more work to finish and the inspection and then we can walk away, happy that we did all we could.
I did that big shopping. Oh my goodness I had so much in the cart I had a lot of trouble in the tiny self-check out space trying to get it all bagged as I ran it over the scanner. There was nowhere in the cart to put the bags...so it was a struggle but I finally got it done. 2nd store stop was for our milk. I brought in an armfull of bags and then as I unloaded DH brought the rest in. He was surprised there was so much. My total was $200 or so. I've never had this much cost to a shopping trip. However, last week was light so I guess it all evens out. I can't believe it costs that much for the 2 of us to eat. We don't eat out at all, even lunches, and we don't eat lobster and steak either! I buy a lot of store brands and watch for sales. Gotta love (not) inflation.
But the shelves were all nicely stocked up this time. I found everything I needed.
Time to rest a bit. My back is sore from all this work.
Have a nice night, everybody.

My surprise (cuz I forgot about it) meeting ran 2 hours. It was very helpful and not as nerve wracking as I thought it would be. I had interviewed a few people prior to interviewing the group and while there was no new problems raised, there were several turns of phrase that will be helpful and a spark that might get to the root of the problem between the group and the paid employee. I'm effectively the HR rep for the employee so that's why I'm in the middle of this.
I was left with many ideas on how to move forward with this conflict so that's why I say it was helpful.
Now to go to bed. Tomorrow, I'm taking someone to their first trip to Costco. That will be interesting.

We had a wonderful day. Relaxing, went to lupine fields near Sugar Hill NH, then to Littleton where we had lunch, shopped a bit, then walked across the covered walking bridge. Unfortunately I fell and landed on my hip then hit my head on the metal rail. I was examined back at the B&B by the gardener, a former EMT and she believes I’m okay but advised rest and to take it easy through tomorrow. I spent time downstairs - we ordered a pizza. This couple is totally delightful.
Kathryn I’ve worried so over a concussion, remembering your experience.
If you’re on Facebook search for Bliss Tavern Bed and Breakfast for pictures. Here’s an article about Littleton with a. Photo of the covered bridge:

Twins, sounds like a lovely trip and a wonderful little town. I remember the movie, and I think I've seen both versions. Sorry you fell, hope you are doing ok.
I wanted to tell you all, yesterday I looked up smoke on the water to hear it (yes, now I remember it) and the first thing that came up was a local map and 2 places - shops - names smoke on the water...one is a tobacco shop and one a vaping shop!

Hi everyone.
When I laid down the coughing got better. It is usually the opposite. Chest still feels heavy but little coughing today. So I am better without intervention, but I should be mindful of potential progression to bronchitis. I really do not need that.
DD21 got a job at small pet supply store. The manager was impressed with her because she showed up for her interview. Apparently, she was the only one!
Workout done, but most daily stuff not yet done. I did get some high priority stuff attempted on my work computer, but part of it did not work. Started B&B: bills paid and Quicken updated. I have been spending too much on restaurants, but I am losing weight and it is leading to migraines. Food at home is so unappetizing, not bad, just boring, so I have been using restaurants. Yesterday, I took a turkey out of the freezer, that may help.
The animal org has a booth at PrideFest tomorrow. We did one last year and got several volunteers, which we desperately need. Donations too. And it was fun. Must remember my rainbow socks.
My goal is bed by midnight. It's looking very unlikely.
Praying for DeeClutter and family.

I know what time it is. I am just awake. I don't know. Partly a fuss. Partly having a bad night's sleep last night that caused a nap today that was too long, yada, yada, yada. This has been the most difficult time of trying to get my sleep schedule back.
R was appreciative of the puzzle books. She is having home health care now. We agreed to pick up her favorite meal on the way and asked her oldest dd what that was and, sigh, a 700-calorie loaded Reuben that just can't be right... .. Oh, well, we weren't asked to comment or advise, just pick up. Met her funny calico cat. HRH had to make several U-turns because my GPS relayed inaccurate info, and then he misunderstood my explanations, and I think that started all the irritation between us today.
Present for the bday party arrived and I've already wrapped it in the funny bday wrapping paper that was supposed to have come before the last bday. It looks so cute, so I'm happy, even though another gift is having to come from UK now and will be late. Maybe I can find a way to have a picture of it.
((Twins')) feel better! So glad the EMT didn't think you have much to worry about.
Elizabeth, roll up your pant legs tomorrow - cuffs would be cute. Hope you get some volunteers.
Harmony, I did notice your post yesterday about agreeing to help the friend who needs rides. Hope that works out well - very kind of you.
