Good morning! (Well, it was morning when I started this — just finally getting it posted now at bedtime.)

Harriet, “You are the honest woman Diogenes was looking for” is so much kinder than “TMI, Mystery!”

We had some storms. Not as much as to the west of us, which kept us from watching Jeopardy, as the TV station decided to go to constant weather coverage. But somebody posted on Reddit this morning a gorgeous picture of lightning over the skyline last night.

I had the oddest experience last night. I dreamt that DH was already on his upcoming trip, and I woke from the dream startled that there was someone in the bed with me. Even as I was headed to the bathroom, I was thinking, “well, maybe one of the kids climbed into my bed due to the storm.” It was only on my way back that I woke enough to remember that DH was not gone yet.

I’m waiting for DD at a doctor’s appointment. The woman who has the appointment after her has almost the exact same name. We have a pretty common last name, so that was no shock, but their first names were two variations of the same thing.

DC wants a ride once we’re back. They are supposed to hang with some friends at the mall close to the college. One of the old department stores has been turned into an entertainment center, so I think that’s where they’re headed.

. . .

Well, I didn’t do too much else. Got DD home; got DC where they were going. Had just enough time for a late lunch before DH came home. We played a game, and then DC was ready to come home. We made dinner, watched TV, and now we’re listening to the ball game.

I got the one-half of the sink-shining chore done today, and am actually waiting until tomorrow on the rest. The fact that I have divided that into 2 points out that the sink area is so crowded, and without a way to get drying dishes out of the way of splashes of anything I wouldn't want to touch them, like bleach, cleansers. So, I parcel out sink uses of all kinds.

Drip dries are still waiting, hanging, but that's okay because it's Saturday tomorrow and the shower won't be in demand early.

Dd came over, partially because she had a strange dream last night and was talking that out with me. She was here while I made my smoothie and was shaking her head over it. She reminded me of the time she, ddil and dd24 all helped me make it the night (day after?) my operation. She confided that they all agreed they wouldn't drink it! lol She was amused to see the straw stand up in it.

The webinar was interesting but not really gripping. I could have almost nodded off during the most science-y parts. Took notes, though. And was appreciative of getting to be in the first group who saw and could read yet-unpublished findings. The recording will be sent to us, so that will be the time I can really concentrate on each screen and pause them to get the full impact.

I'm not sure I'm as productive as Harmony when mad, lol. I tend to pout.

I pout when mad too, but boy… my dmom (when she was younger) could do a LOT of cleaning when she got mad. Whew.
