Thank you for all your hard work Kathryn.

Believe it or not, I think I've been more on top of the dishes since last Tuesday night than I have been in a very long time. Every time I want to boil a pot of water, I spend time doing something else in the kitchen. Plus with all the flies inside and out, things just feel dirty. I know a LOT of people locally who are suffering with the flies just like we are.

I've run the sweeper in a bathroom and hallway. DH came back with a bunch of tools and scaffolding in his truck and a fellow who helped him get the scaffolding up on the rack. I helped him put away quite a few things. I was out there over an hour at least. We managed to get a plastic tarp rolled up with rubble cleaned off into the garbage and stretched out and folded up. He was going to keep it...and I complained..... you aren't doing this work any more what are you keeping it for? So he agreed to throw away. A heavier one he wanted folded up to keep. I feel discouraged every time he wants to keep something.

We put the new hose on the back of the house and I checked it out...and ended up hosing off everything out there, the table and shelf, the chairs and the whole floor. It looks better than it has in a long time..well, since the last time I had a hose out there.

I have some clothes to put away and declutter. Summer stuff I found in my old dresser drawer. I don't know what fits any more.

Dishes are done, kitchen cleaned up. I need a shower.

Always thankful for our electricity and a/c in this heat. It wasn't fun after the hurricane with no power.

I was going to say that in prep for the update, I'm deleting all the extensions which means we won't be able to strike through text and we'll only have one style we can display the boards in. Most of you might not notice the latter, but mine is pretty purple so I will.

BUT looking over the instructions on how to do the update, I'm beginning to think I can't do this and am considering starting a new boards instead. '

I'm so out of my depth on this and dh doesn't have the time to help me.

AND while GoDaddy swears up and down that nothing is wrong with either the website or their tools to manage the website, both were running perfectly when I finally contacted them (after tool pages taking 20 - 45 seconds to open on the GoDaddy site so I couldn't even see if we had any problems with our data base). The website was running perfectly then too and he sent me proof that it is running perfectly according to GTMetrix and then, 2 hours later we were back to it not working and for short time around 7:30 the site was completely down.

So I can't fix things because

1. I don't know what is wrong.

1a. If I assume it is because we are using an unsupported version of phpBB, then one would naturally want to upgrade to a later version but I can't follow the instructions on that process because I don't understand them.

1b. If I assume that the problem is that the boards are too big now, do I just start deleting posts older than X years? This version of phpBB can do that.

1c. I couldn't send an email through the boards today. That took me to the errors page and apparently email are being sent daily, lots of them, and failing. I get the IP addresses of who is doing the sending and they are from Asia. So, is it bots that are slowing down boards, testing to see if they can get in? I have tried limiting what Bots can do but the boards are running so slow, it doesn't always work, the pages are timing out before the changes are being made.

2. Do I just give up on the old boards and start a new forum without any of the archives?

2a. Can I even do this with GoDaddy? I can't get a clear answer on whether or not that can be done through their website information data base. When I did a search with 2 (as in can I have 2 phpBB forums in one account?) it gave me information on 2-factor authentication.

2b. If I do this, can I keep the old boards up for reference? No idea.
