First chance I've had to come here. After my first post that is. Very busy day.

A few hours vacuuming, sweeping, organizing, de-cluttering. Heavy lifting included. Poor old truck looking better. I have a couple full buckets that I need guidance on and stuff on one surface I also need help with. After all that and a rest, I began taking off some of the lettering (vinyl black letters) on the hood. Stuff doesn't come off easily. Peeling it off. The ones that are brittle and cracked a real chore. So DH comes out from his yard work and I think oh no, here it comes, but he watched and said "take it off!" Happy these are removable letters rather than painted on. So then he comes out with the hair dryer and starts heating them ahead of me so they come off easier. We got 3 sides, all the lower stuff off. The higher ones we will have to pull other truck up beside and use that to stand in the bed to reach them. Then we'll have to use something...solvent they say...to get off the remaining goo that's left underneath. We worked and worked until I was exhausted and my back was really hurting so we pulled everything back into the shop and came in for the night.

Too tired to take care of ourselves re: cooking and cleaning up, we both got cleaned up and I suggested Denny's where we went for supper. Not a place we had to dress up for thank goodness. And I was very thankful for helpful waiter who was very attentive. We gave him a good tip for that!

Answered a letter and here I am. Tomorrow is another day to do some more.

LadyM, you wrote exactly what we have been thinking, about the place we are at now and the one we will be in later, hopefully. You want exactly what I want. I cannot see DH in an apartment or a condo with no garage with room for some tools and no yard to putter around in. I think he would be so bored. 1000 sq ft...exactly what we want. We built DSisilaw a house just like that a few years ago. Perfect just for her. She had a piece of property but it is too big now for her and she is tired of the outside work. And she is younger than we are... so you are right in everything you said.

Harriet, thanks for asking. I’m fine. I even did 15 minutes walk away the pounds tonight.
In case anyone wondered, it’s a canister vacuum, so the canister, the hose, and the cords are all potential hazards. I’ve tripped before, but never fallen!

DS said, “That’s why I never get close to those things.” LOL.
